The influx of 3-point sharpshooting in the 2010s changed the #NBA forever, but the decade still featured some midrange studs and a dominant force in the paint. Kirk Goldsberry explains which NBA players were the most and least efficient from each zone on the court between 2010 and 2019, including LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Stephen Curry, Dirk Nowitzki, Chris Paul, Steve Nash, Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Carmelo Anthony, LaMarcus Aldridge, DeMarcus Cousins and more.

Put some respect on the 50-40-90 club king Steve nash
@Posterharpua
@Posterharpua 4 года назад
Nash did it multiple times, which is just unthinkable. Dirk did it once, which is also crazy given his size and position. Dirk had 2 other seasons where he missed the 50-40-90 club by less than 1% point in a category. Nash had a couple near misses too. It's the most elite shooting distinction you can achieve over a season.
@teejaytv3821
@teejaytv3821 4 года назад
G13 classified true but the difference in dirk and Nash is the amount of shots they took Nash was averaging 50-40-90 while averaging like 15-18 points a game while dirk did it averaging 23 plus Still impressive regardless tho

Steve Nash's time on the court in the 2010s only added up to about 3 1/2 full seasons, and this is when he was 35-39 years old. He played thru a busted lip, fractured nose, abdominal strain and hip impingement, aggravated nerves and spasms in his back, hip, leg and hamstring, not to mention the spondylolisthesis that he suffered from his entire career. And yet, here he is. The most efficient mid range sniper of the decade at his spot. Incredible.

“Dirk Nowitzski is the best shooting big man of all time”. If your counting Kevin Durant as a big man, the snake is the greatest shooting big man ever. KD doesn’t play a position of a big man,( power forward/center) but he is the height of a big man(7’0).

No he's not, Dirk has better shooting %. So Dirk is the best shooting big man of all-time. KD doesn't even play Centre/PF. Majority of his play is SF

It would have been nice to see a list of all the best/worst for each zone and not just THE best and THE worst. There are a more than just a couple players who are good at shooting from a particular area. Derozen for example has always been a great mid range shooter but I didn’t see him mentioned. I would have liked to know how he stacked up in all this.
