Hi Lisa, I worked in the medical field and everything you said here is correct. 👏👏👏 After 45 years of seeing (Im retired now) .. the increase of problems, skin cancer was astonish I told patients their sunscreen was actually part of the problem but ofcourse i was the crazy one. Decades' later we were correct. Thanks for all your information may people listen to you...... One other thing, my personal opinion sunscreen from spray bottles is unhealthy. Thanks, you go girl.

Lab Muffin Beauty Science does a video on this( Chemicals in Your Bloodstream) says that for example Avabenzone only 0.0011 was found in the bloodstream. She said a reddit user took a study apart and figured out the exact percentages for certain chemicals from the study. It's not exactly 60% being absorbed into the bloodstream( from what she says). The video is worth the watch but again it's hard to know for sure what even the tiniest bit of these chemicals could do to our bodies. Scientists don't know everything and I'm aware of that. I used to wear them because I hated the white cast( her video made me feel better for awhile). I was feeling so bad for wearing chemical sunscreens for so long so at least 60% isn't getting in our bloodstream! I have switched to mineral because I don't trust these "studies" or " chemists". We don't know that a 0.001 wouldn't give us cancer. I just thought I'd share it. I still advocate to stay away from these sunscreens. God is the only person who truly knows the human body and science is limited to man. Again....just wanted to share!

I have shared my thoughts on there when I heard some things that I disagreed with and the commenters on that channel made me feel stupid; because they said I didn't have lab muffin's degree( only those with educations in science have room to question). They were not kind to me and so I deleted my comment on questioning whether even 0.011 % in the bloodstream was healthy( that isn't even taking into consideration the other multiple chemicals in the sunscreen+ if a person were to reapply the % would add up quickly I'd assume). There are even studies on the internet where these chemicals ( no matter how tiny they claim) stayed in the bloodstream for weeks. They argued with me on that Europe's chemicals were safer and I couldn't find where they did any tests on if they were found in the bloodstream after a use( studies can be conflicting and everyone imo has an agenda when $ is involved). I logically don't want to add to chemicals getting inside my body no matter the size. Scientists are limited and I would rather not take that chance for higher uva protection. I have watched other videos of yours and I love how genuine you are. These others have made me feel bad for not buying expensive sunscreens and reapplying 3 times a day. I love that you preach realistic expectations for every day use unlike this other term who I used to watch. Thank you for advocating for health and saying things that others who won't say due to the $ they are making with promoting these products.

This video came right on time!!! Lisa, I was hiking with my boys yesterday and Dylan asked his older brother before we left if he put on sunscreen. His brother replied "I dont need sunscreen!" Dylan went to his room and grab his sunscreen and told his brother to put it on! It didn't stop there...while we were hiking, Dylan was explaining to his brother the importance to protect his skin and told him to watch your videos! Good morning🍑 The first thing to know about Korean beauty is that it is just a marketing term. There’s nothing extra special about any of their products and many of the ingredients are ingredients that we have been using and Peaches for decades. I would be wary about their sunscreen because in their ingredients list, they do not show you an active ingredient. They just show you the things that they would like you to see they talk about probiotics and rice but if there is no zinc oxide it’s really not some thing you should be using on your skin and we can’t be sure there’s no chemical, I hope this helped answer your question? I am very particular about the products I use and recommend, and as of now I only recommend a couple sunscreens as I say in the video what we put on our body absolutely matters. The only thing I do that I would consider bad is bleach my shower every couple of weeks and poor little bleach in my toilets when I go on vacation🧡🙌🏻🍑

I pay more attention to sunscreens now , I do have 3 sticks of the trader Joe’s left the mini ones . I’m going to try one of the tinted ones , if it gives enough glow I can forgo my Bronzer . I shutter to think of the Moms that slathered their babies in those sunscreens to protect their babies tender skin … it’s unconscionable that these chemicals make it onto the shelves :) xoX

Lisa, thank you for another informative and important video. I love being outside but the shade is my friend. Being very fair I have always been careful to protect myself from the sun. For years I’ve worn a face moisturizer with sunscreen. Now I realize that wasn’t the best idea. Wearing Peaches moisturizer and I’ll definitely be trying some of your sunscreen recommendations. I will NEVER wear ANY sunscreen. I do not like the feeling on my skin. We never had it in our house when I was a kid. I have very fair skin, and I just stay in the shade. I wear my wide brim hat when I go for my walk. I do not particularly like wearing hats, but it probably works better than ANY sunscreen.

hi Lisa. A brand I love and is easy to obtain thru Whole Foods or Amazon is Babo Botanicals. They are a line of zinc based baby sunscreen, and I've been using them for years. It was also a line I repped years ago with my former employer and they were so very nice to deal with. Would love your opinion, if you have time.

Hello Lisa: just discovered you here as I am researching sunscreens and trying to go more natural/healthy with my skincare in general. What a wealth of knowledge you are! In an older sunscreen video you advised against tinted sunscreens due to reduced efficacy. This video has recommendations of tinted ones. Has something changed with formulations that no longer reduce the efficacy? Also wondering if TropicSport would be a recommended sunscreen? It has both zinc and titanium as active ingredients. There is quite the list of inactive ingredients and I’m not sure if any of those are contraindicated.
Ginger🧡 Welcome and I hope you choose to stay. Such a great question. Most tinted have unnatural color or poor ingredients, I only recommend two ( Color Science Glow, DRMTLGY physical (Lisa20) I have tested both throughly and I don’t mind color from iron oxide. I choose to go to without tint most of the time , however clients wanted a choice. I have not personally tested Tropic Sport, so unfortunately I can’t recommend it. Although the active ingredients may be zinc oxide or zinc oxide and titanium dioxide,they can slip some other ingredients in that I may not be good with me for your skin and health,Or might break you out. In fact when someone starts Peaches skin care, I ask them to please not wear any sunscreen for about a month or so just to get the skin cleaned out. I have heard of the app. My only issue is that the term .” Clean” is a marketing term by the beauty industry and it can be very misleading. They don’t really know how much of the ingredient is added. For example phenoxyethanol is very demonized but in actuality when used in a small amount can be safe and keep Bacteria-and fungus from growing in the products. I don’t typically recommend products I have not used and tested thoroughly, however I do like the Brand Avene and I think that the ingredients list looks good. It appears they are listing the full ingredients deck. The active ingredient is Zinc oxide which I love. I just did a sunscreen video a few back if you want to see the ones I recommend to my clients. I think most sunscreens are really not good so I love your being mindful. Having your skin in shape first is key. Yes it damages the skin and they say that it makes more collagen but in reality it just swells you up and you think that you’ve built more collagen or lifting. You have to keep chasing that look. We have natural bacteria and fungus always on our skin and it is when we leave an opening for that we can have an issue, microneedle and can leave an opening for bacterial infections and fungal infections. There are too many gentle things to do to your skin that can help you to build collagen. Gloria 🧡 The sun is important for our health. Just be mindful. Wear the proper zinc oxide or zinc oxide and titanium dioxide and a wide brimmed hat. I don’t like self Tanners, if it’s a good self tanner it actually darkens your natural melanin so it will darken age spots and Melasma. If it’s a bad self tanner, it will just stain your skin or act like foundation. I tell my client to stay away from those on your face. Hope this helps. Jesica🧡 I love castor oil. You can absolutely use it on your face. I just choose to use it under my eyes and on my lids. Every other night I apply it to my eye lashes and brows. I LOVE Jamaica castor oil as well, it is very healing if you have a scab or healing cut or mark. 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
