Your channel really is top tier man. I know this is an old video but just finding your channel and going through some of my favorite animated scenes that you happened to break down. Side note: All MHA movies are canon.
You have just summed up everything I ever wanted to say about mr. Suzuki - he is my favourite animator of all time and I'm so salty over the fact that he's mostly hidden in the shadow that is Yutapon.
I also thought the same when I first witnessed this masterpiece, I really feel satisfied when I make a background animation ( which is obviously nowhere close to anime level)
As amazing as this scene is, personally, I feel like there are plenty of scenes from 90s films and ovas that intrigue me even more. You ever gonna react to stuff like Run Melos, Spriggan, or the Memories anthology film?
The scenes from those are amazing, my favourite being some of the action scenes in Spriggan that hold up so well even today. What these 3 examples have the most in common is how natural and human-like the movements look, which is also seen in other masterpieces of it's time like Akira. These were also the joint efforts of multiple artists splitting works of layout, KA and AD, with a good schedule and generous resources to make such special work possible. However, when I think about a scene that breaks every possible barrier of imagination, one that came entirely from a single person, made in average anime conditions, and displays mastery over every element of animation; whether it's characters, effects or backgrounds, Norimitsu Suzuki's cut is still my pick for the best animated scene I've ever watched.
@@-MankoMan Can't believe it took me this long to notice you responded to this comment, but damn, you make a great point. And as much as I'd like to know your opinion on some of the sequences from Richard William's The Thief and the Cobbler, such as the War Machine finale, Zig-Zag playing with the cards or the slipper chase scene, and how they stack up against this MHA sequence or others, but I don't know whether its production is well documented enough for us to know whether there's a sequence made entirely by a single person. Plus the circumstances for TTATC, as a passion project made on the side by an animation studio primarily doing boutique work, are much more favorable than those for a typical anime franchise film release.
this is literally the most informative animation channel on youtube... you should check rise of the TMNT...despite being a cartoon it has insane animation and camera work
Don't apologize, it's a fun question. In-house: Kyoto Animation; Ufotable is a very close second. As far as industry connections go with free-lancers, studio bones is untouchable, MAPPA and cloverworks come second.
@@-MankoMan no way that u think this scene has better animation than episode 10 of season of demon slayer Like the frames and the background are decently drawn
@@himejimagyomei908 episode 10 has 2-3 small cuts with good animation and it's enhanced by multiple layers of effects(some explosions are even unnecessary)
Animation is great and all, but it’s not the best animated scene of all time. There are better ones still. I recommend Heaven’s Feel. That’s godlike and has an actual good story
Heavens Feel have to many special effects in every scene, where it's hard to understand what actually happening on the screen, so MHA animation is better.
@@BrightBeamBang it’s more of how it handles and blends 2D and 3D animation perfectly and most scenes in that movie are really not hard to follow so that’s more of a you problem. So no MHA animation isn’t better especially with how some scenes look
@@jeffreyali1456 bro, in Heavens Feel fight scenes almost always you see something sparkling or brightening on the screen, it's pretty colorful and everything, as a FIGHT scenes, MHA version is better
some fight scenes I’ll say MHA has some really good ones like the second movie and all but heaven’s feel trilogy definitely does a lot more than just being colorful and sparkling and it’s 2D and 3D blending is just out of this world. Ufotable has some outstanding fight scenes beyond just Heaven’s Feel. Even then I’d say there are better fight animations than both tbh.
