Really helpful! But I wanted a tutorial on creating VCard menus and getting them to do something. It would be awesome if you made a tutorial on it. Anyways, great video 👍. Keep it up

Hello Chris. I’m trying the Clipboard shortcut with Yoink but the get action is not available with my version of shortcuts. I’m using iOS 14.4.2. How can I fix this?

Hi, great video. I noticed your keyboard has number tile on top. Is there a specific setting to enable that?

That’s just the basic keyboard on the 12.9 iPad. Since there is more screen space they can put a full keyboard on it.

Pythonista and Editorial are both by the same author. Pythonista is for python scripts, and has python packages that can access ipad features like the motion sensor, or just the clipboard. You can call scripts, and pass arguments via x-callback-url. Or you can have them in your share sheet. Among other things. Editorial is more like drafts, but the automations are python based. But I haven't tried this one so can't say much.

I know of both of those apps very well. Editorial hasn’t gotten a major update in a while and is basically a dead app now. I uses to use it a lot and it’s great, but it doesn’t support modern system features anymore. Pythonista is a great app as well but I’m worried it’ll turn into Editorial.

I've noticed its taking a while for him to add the pandas library, while other apps have done that already :( I might move my python attempts to a-shell, also keeping and eye on iSH (on test flight now). I really want vim on the ipad :)

i hate that the "automation" is not automatic all all. i made a shortcut to put my iphone in DND when i arrive at a weekly meeting, and to turn DND off when the meeting should end (sometimes it extends the scheduled time, but in this situation i want people around me to know that the appointment time its over, and we need to wrap up, that's why i don't use deactivate DND when i leave the location). but the shortcut does't run by itself. i get only a notification and i have to touch it so it can run. what kind of "automation" is that? it's easier to turn DND until the end of the event. very disappointed with apple in this particular subject

Apple did this with location based shortcuts for security reasons. Otherwise someone could borrow your iPhone and set up a shortcut to track you and that sort of thing. Time based shortcuts can run in the background without a prompt.
