The way that you explained this was much more clear than any previous way I'd seen this information given. Now I want to go back and cleanup all of my previous Airtable shortcuts to use this method.

Just FYI if you select the ask for input type as ‘number’ it works fine with the currency and number fields in Airtable. Great video as always 👍🏻

Fancy Technical Solution ! I had problem when a column of the table is a link to another record of another table. So, this is my consistent solution (no matter the type /format of the column) : in Airtable : 1) Click on "Form view" of the table. 2) Click on "Open Form" and Copy the url of the form in Shortcuts : 3) New shortcuts : "Display web page" 4) Paste Url of the form

I did it. 🎉 took me 2 hours but I finally did it. Made a shortcut that asks me about my day mood like CBT and then logs everything in the airtable this is soo cool thank you so much!!!

Hey Chris, great video, nicely put. Question, how would you go about adding entries for a field in Airtable that was defined as having multiple values from a list? I have tried a list in text and array but neither work.

You can create a list and then in the next step select 'Choose from List' and then use the input to map with the Airtable field.

Good intro to API's I on the other hand need to synchronize my management database to AirTable, adding and removing records on the fly, for 2000+ entries. Using javascript, which I am only a beginner. Good luck to me!

Nope. He is just recording his iPad's screen and then putting the recording in a template (wooden background).

The APIs are now being deprecated. I'm trying to use a webhook instead. I can get a record to be created but it doesn't populate the fields with the text I input in the shortcut....any ideas?

Why would you save the Total amount as a text field? Isn't it much better to save it as number field without the dollar mark so you can do things like sum all the rows etc.?

Luca Ban He said in the beginning that he had trouble with Shortcuts and the currency field and he didn’t need the addition stuff so he didn’t bother with it.

Hi Christopher, I’m inspired by your video. I’ve done everything mentioned but I get an error: {“error”:{“type”:“AUTHENTICATION_REQUIRED”,“message”:“Authentication required”}} . After researching online it didn’t really help. Maybe you have the perfect solution?

Airtable deprecated the API key in 2024/02 and requested for using Access token, so you need to replace the API key with Access token. You can see their doc or refer to my Shortcuts setup video.
