It’s awesome seeing Peter and Ck get the love they deserve super cool people and super helpful Peter has gotten one off fish for me because I asked for it. Makes me sad I’m temporarily out of the hobby but it’s still super cool to swing by and hang out sometimes.

Peter and staff are amazing, they’re all knowledgeable and approach you to see if you need help. I try not to go so often, because I always find something to buy every time I’m in there 😅. By far the best fish store I’ve been too, nobody comes close!

Hi Joey, I purchased a 65 gallon Aqueon tank brand new about 3 years ago and it started with bubbles appearing on the silicone about a year later so I decided to buy another brand new tank but this time I bought a 65 gallon Seapora and its been about a year and I'm finding the same bubbles are forming on the silicone. I have only a few Pearl Gourami's, Cori Catfish and a snail. Would you have any suggestions as to why this would be happening?

I am curious why the sponge filters dont have the plastic tubes attached in all the tanks. That is a nice spacious looking store, great to see such variety of stuff.

I have one of the Chinese high fin banded sharks in my outdoor koi pond. He grazes on all of the algae all day and that’s all I’ve ever seen him eat. Right now he’s about 8 inches, but I’m hoping to get him close to 2 foot. It’s going to take a super long time because I live in Colorado so he won’t be doing much growing through our winters. There is a koi store I go to that has a display pond with a 3 foot long high fin shark in it, so it’s definitely possible to get them big.

Great interview and loved that you highlighted how amazing CK is. At around 12:40 you mentioned some things that upset you. Did you ever elaborate on this in the video? That's like a fish warehouse 😅 Wish I could afford to visit/was closer but it's a bit of a pricey trek from Wisconsin 😢 I'm only so far in, so not sure yet if able to support online, but if so, I'm in! Always down to buy fish/products from "local" stores over Petco or Petsmart and the like.

It’s not just your LFS that needs to step up it’s game. Most of them do. Many of them haven’t kept up with modern freshwater aquascaping and seldom have an adequate selection of hard scape. There’s several fish stores within a 10 minute drive of my home and not a single one has respectable selection of stone and wood. They’re all stuck in the past.
