Thank you! My husband always talks about his grandmother's arroz con Pollo. And I've researched it asked his mom for the recipe (she didn't have it) but this is the closest thing I could find to what he described. So I'm in the process of making it. Already did a taste test n it's awesome

Finally a Hispanic recipe for arroz con pollo. All I've been finding were americanized versions that excluded tomato paste. I've never made this before vote I knew it should have a tomato flavor. Thanks for this!

Thank you for the video Abby, it reminded me of how my mom used to cook. First add Adobo, then Garlic and onion powder, more Adobo, Sazon, salt, more Adobo, fresh garlic, sofrito and recao. Did I forget the Adobo? Oh yes, more Sazon and a bit more Adobo. After 30 years living here in Japan, I don't think I could survive my mother's cooking. You know how bland Japanese food is? Soy sauce, sugar and Sake. They use that in everything. Aye dios mio.

How much chicken Bouillon is in a packet? The equivalent of 1 tsp of better than bouillon or a chicken cube?

Hello Marcella, thank you for watching. You can add the pigeon peas after you cook the chicken and let it sauté for a few minutes before adding the rice and broth… Enjoy 😊

I don't find this helpful because you're giving me an ingredients list which I pretty much know. But you're not telling me the quantities because the seasoning as you say put as much as you like. I wanna be able to make a pot that tastes right. I don't need to guess it until I figure it out. That's not helpful. The first lady and unof

Thank you for your comment. There is different ways to cook rice and if you want the rice to be more dry just add less liquid, it is an easy fix...... I always tell my audience that they are welcome to change any recipe and make their own, no right or wrong here.... 😊
