With respect to your opinion though, as Versailles is my all-time favorite band, they went on hiatus nearly 10 years ago so have not been doing anything new. I don't think there is any real comparison between any of the bands you mention and Galneryus, they all have extremely talented musicians/songwriters, but they all have their own unique styles. Since you mention that you USED to listen to Galneryus, then you'd not know what they've been doing now. While they still have plenty of neo-classical, power metal and prog elements to their music, their newest release has seen them add heavier, 7-string guitar stylings a la Unlucky Morpheus. Plus SYU has two solo albums, both of which are quite different from one another; one being very proggy instrumentals the other being a smattering of different stuff with a number of (mostly female) guest vocalists. All in all, if you're one of the most talented guitarists in the world, why shouldn't you show off what you can do?

@COTTERO I get your opinion. Personally I like the songs with Yama-B and also the songs with Sho. But to be honest, the newer songs are much more complex and entertaining for me. I would compare it to 2 restaurants. Restaurant A is with Yama-B, it is your favorite pub where you get good beer, burgers, steak or whatever. Restaurant B is with Sho and it is a 3 star michelin. Both have great food but the michelin meal is just more thoughtfull, complex and expresses chefs personality. And I totally get why Syu rather went that way. I feel like it was not just his ego, but he wanted or maybe needed to make songs, where he can just express his emotions, his capabilities as a composer and definitely utilize his guitar skills.

wagakki and unlucky are boring bands, but galneryus and omnyouza are awesome. Also Jupiter is way better than Versailles. I love Yama B galneryus too, but i have to admit that masterpieces like angel of salvation, enemy to injustice, End of the line and a few more wouldnt sound so awesome without Sho.

10:20 that is Top 100 guitarist over the world niveau if we are just talking about feelings and soul. Make sure to check out more of them if you wanna feel some great stuff. You also can tell after making some experience, that everything he plays is done with 100% of him. Even the quicker part is full of joy and makes you feel good ☝️

lol it's quite funny to see the comment says that syu is lack of feeling and soul. There's no possible to compose the neoclassical stuff like this if he/she doesn't have passion on it. But yea, everyone has their own ideas about it, you can stick to your own point.

Ok that is not your cup of tea but when you say "no feeling or soul" you're attacking their passion for what they're doing that's just a completely unacceptable argument, music will convey emotions or not depending from the person too, what you feel doesn't necessarily means they don't have passion
