Hi. Would be great if you could update this video, for instance Revolut now is FSCS protected, no? Great content overall. Tks.
@Monitodotcom
@Monitodotcom 10 месяцев назад
Hey! In The UK, Revolut is not FSCS-protected and not licensed as a bank. In Europe, they are licensed as a bank in Lithuania so you do get deposit insurance. ^Jonny

Hi, I recently joined a company doing trading in new Jersey and I'm from London. I just want to know if hyperthetically my investment grew than and funds have gone through all the checks done from the company are released. What are the rules and regulations procedures to use the funds via my revolute account. And are there charges, do I need to declare straight away to HMRC to government. Do I need an accountant. Please advise ASAP

Hey Bro, great video.. mad props... I am leaning towards revolut & seeing as how it's scoring all across the board, but feeling a little iffy about how I keep hearing dodgy news about unicorns especially revolut.. so here's the skinny.. 1. I am from India (Have family there so need to send money for emergencies) 2. Moving to Germany (But not planning to stay there forever) 3. Still planning to get EU citizenship after a while ( Buy a house > need a homeloan + invest diverse) 4. Planning to roam the world, eventually after figuring out how to be an Enterpreneur I know it's a little far ahead.. But which would be a good starter bank for me?

Hi, I just returned from a year in Germany, I was happiest with N26 . Revolut froze my account a couple times, I recommend Wise as a backup for either. Good luck.

Hello, I want to ask you. I am from Algeria. I want a card, but I am not a resident of Europe. Can I open an account from Algeria and then send the card to a European address (family) Is there a bank that accepts that (a card that contains small monthly deductions)

Hello Sir, I appreciate the information presented in the video, but I have a question. I am Peruvian and will be soon traveling to the UK for a couple of weeks as a tourist, and I would like to know what would be the most practical and efficient way to carry my funds and make all kinds of payments (maybe cash). I understand that digital banks or those that offer travel cards are only aimed at European citizens. Many thanks.
@Monitodotcom
@Monitodotcom 2 года назад
Hola Fernando! I have found 3 digital banks / neobanks in Peru (neobanks.app/neobanks/peru). B89, Rappi and Ligo. I don't speak Spanish so I had to use Googles translate feature. These banks may be able to offer you a cheaper way to spend and withdraw money internationally, and I recommend checking out their websites to see if they offer international spending. Otherwise check with your bank to see what the charges are for international spending and withdrawing money, they also may have a specific credit card / debit card available that offers low fees. ^Jonny

First, I'd like to commend you for sharing this video. It was very clear ,concise and highly informative. Secondly, I was wondering if you might know which Austrian banks offer the option of opening an online account, for non-resident Austrian citizens? If so, I would appreciate it if you would share the links to the appropriate websites. Cheers.

@Monitodotcom Год назад
Hey! Glad you found the video useful 🙂 Can I first ask where you're originally from? Also, do you have any proof of residency in Austria? ^Jonny
@ThePCNovice
@ThePCNovice Год назад
@@Monitodotcom Hey Jonny, Thanks for getting back to me. Actually, I am asking for my cousin. She has Austrian citizenship and resides in Israel. She is looking to start investing in real estate in Austria and a local bank account will surely come in handy. From what I understand, in most cases, proof of residency is required, however, it may not be a strict requirement for all banks in Austria, hence my questions.
@Monitodotcom
@Monitodotcom Год назад
Thanks for the details. I'd suggest opening an account with N26. They're a free digital bank that will give your cousin local EU bank account details, it even has cash deposits in Austria. Just pop this link over to your cousin (bit.ly/3vAjOi8) and she can get signed up, it shouldn't take long to open an account. Let me know if you have any more questions 🙂 ^Jonny
@ThePCNovice
@ThePCNovice Год назад
@@Monitodotcom Thanks Jonny. I sent my cousin the link you provided and she attempted to access it and open the account with N26. However, the first question she had to answer during the process was: "Country of Residence" and when she entered "Israel", she received the following message: "Waiting List We’re not in your region yet, but you can sign up for our waiting list and we’ll let you know when we’re available there." Am I missing something?
@Monitodotcom
@Monitodotcom Год назад
Sorry, I had hoped with her citizenship that she would be able to open an account, but I've just realised that N26 requires EU citizenship! I'm unable to find a solution. Perhaps if your cousin could get some sort of proof of residency or at least an address in Austria that could forward mail to her Isreal address then she could potentially get around it. ^J

Hey Syed, hope you're well. I think in your case it will be easier to do this once you arrive in Spain and you have an address. With proof of identity and address, you should be able to set up an account with an online bak like N26.

Okay cool! I had a look at our comparison engine (www.monito.com/en/compare/transfer/us/gb/usd/gbp/100000) and it looks like a broker such as OFX (www.ofx.com/p/monito/) could be the best option. 100,000 USD to GBP would give you around 89,353 GBP which is great, it also has no fee and is only .29% worse than the mid-market rate. One point, as you're talking about exchanging a large amount of money, I suggest keeping a close eye on FX rates. Historically, right now would be a good time to be exchanging USD for GBP. Thanks. ^Jonny
