I grew up in the 60s, I had 1 Barbie doll. My parents felt all a girl needed was 1 Barbie. My friends had 3 or 4 Barbies and lots of clothes and an accessory or two. I made my dolls clothes out of paper napkins. I was quite envious of my friends. Still, they had nothing compared to the kids in the 80s onward. One Christmas my parents relented and got me another fashion doll, based off of some tv character. She was matronly ugly and played a villain in my childhood imagination. I suffered so. I’m being hyperbolic. I had a great childhood. I played with my friends outside with our dogs most of the time. We had great adventures. As a retired adult, I’m discovering Barbie again. I enjoy finding in thrifts, cleaning up, sewing clothes (with fabric) keeping some, giving away or selling others. She’s so pretty!
Love that!! Yeah any Barbie from the 60s is a great piece. Period. lol and I’m feeling a major hobby growing for a ton of people-sewing barbie clothes. It’s catching on like crazy ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I love the 90s era Barbie. It was the Renaissance for the doll. Vintage reproductions, beautiful fashions and wonderful all-round quality. I've actually started collecting them- starting off with 40s glamour Barbie and Jewelled Hair Mermaid Midge.
Son hermosas, q bonito ver esas barbies de esos años. Pero al presentar sus barbies su rostro tan serio creia se trataba de un misterio al principio del video. Luego pude ver q se trataba de hermosas joyas de barbie. Gracias x mostrarlas.
Barbie in the 90's was the best era for the doll line 😊 I grew up in the 90's and the dolls had the best quality of fashions and hair !! I love all the dolls shown today, thank you for sharing your beautiful collection ❤
My first Barbie's Hula Hair Teresa. I love her hair color scheme and the tinsel hula skirt. She's so beautiful. I remember buying it with my own money when I was still in Highschool. It was back in 1998.
I loved the elaborate creations from the Bob Mackie collection. Anyone who can create such iconic looks for Cher and Barbie is at the top of my list. ❤
the 90s had a bunch of long hair dolls.... there was the glitter-hair doll that came with glitter gel, there was the cut and style doll that came with velcro hair and there was a mermaid with hair to her feet.... another one had some kidn of hair stamping going on. I think they took something that worked and just made many variations of it. i had a bunch of sisters growing up so we had them all
Ha! Some of my favorite 90s dolls are the Baywatch Set….. I was in Latin America so we got the Teresa doll which was a foreign market exclusive…. ….. I looooooved Hollywood Hair Barbie..:: ….. also Camp Barbie was a favorite of mine…. Honorable mention to Hollywood Nails Barbie….
Totally Hair forever 💗 also, I especially love the Western ones ❤ and the Polly Pocket ones. Actually that pink Polly Pocket is on my wishlist 🤩 I have from that set the ones with the green and blue stones.
New haircut, new episode! Soooo f*****g good!!! right in my sweet spot for Barbie collecting and all the nostalgia!! Can’t wait for the next instalment ❤
The lights n' Lace line are one of my favorites for sure! Have yet to get the Polly Pocket Barbie but she is high on my want list ! Dance moves is another great line ,along with Cut n' Style Barbie❤. The list is endless!
Movin Groovin and Totally Hair are my faves, but another set I think worth including is the Cool Color Streak with those extremely soft corduroy jumper bibs, striped sweaters, and big beanie hats.
Everything about your channel is great. Your rampant knowledge on the subject, your willingness to be upfront about costs, and your undeniable charm set you apart from the other doll channels I follow. I have a feeling you’re going to blow up in the doll world. Regardless, I’m here for the content. Your upload with your twin was amazing, too. Both of you were remarkably honest about yourselves and your childhood. I like everything about you. Looking forward to learning and being entertained!
Started watching a couple of your videos. I love listening to people who are knowledgable in their hobbies and collections and the information you have is fascinating! What made you so interested in vintage Barbies in particular?
Thanks so much! I think the vintage fashion got me most interested. Loved the idea of collecting these amazing vintage clothes in sixth scale where they could be displayed on a shelf 🤩❤️❤️
I love 90s Barbies! It’s hard to choose favorites. Some that come to mind…rappin rockin Christie, Skipper variants (love that face mold), western barbie, teen skipper, Rapunzel, movin groovin, wet n Wild…so many more!
I have remarkably few of these dolls, I was mostly collecting vintage and Mod during the 90s, but I did pick up a few 90s dolls. I definitely have 1992 Totally Hair Barbie in blonde, brunette, and AA, as well as Totally Hair Ken. I also have Western Stampin' Tara Lynn, but none of the others. Some of my favorites from this era are the Benetton dolls of the early 90s, Wet 'N Wild Barbie/Christie/Kira/Teresa, All Stars Teresa, All-American Teresa, Camp Barbie/AA Barbie/Teresa, Empress Sissy, Portrait In Taffeta Barbie, Snow Princess Barbie, Autumn Glory Barbie, and the Pretty In Plaid and Corduroy Cool dolls.
Thanks for another great video. I was collecting in the 90s and bought many of the dolls that you featured. However it is surprising how many I didn't know about! It's a good thing in a way or I would have had to buy a bigger house!!! Thanks for another great presentation.😊
I’m a 90s child I had totally hair, glitter hair and cut n style as my most favorites! I just recently bought them since I couldn’t find mine. Cut n style quickly became my “weird” Barbie as a kid
Jewel Hair Mermaid Barbie was my holy grail 90s barbie back when i was a child in the 90s. I was able to get them now when i become adult. Still looking for jewel hair mermaid teresa.
I love 90s Barbies those are the exact ones that were available for me to play with as a kid in my generation. I really don’t like the new modern day Barbies they are disappointingly cheap
Thank you for showing these! I got to see some I didn’t know has ever existed. I’m new to your channel and look forward to seeing what you got in store.
Great episode ! I'm now looking for Totally Hair Barbie ! I haven't focused there so much ....with the exception Walkman set ! I completely forgot about all the Neon outfits Sooo Good !
You're my fav new doll tuber. So many awesome dolls. I'd love to see a full collection video. I was born in 1995 so only have vague recollection of these but have to admit the 90s dolls were on another level entirely
Bought the Pog Barbie right after watching this 🤣she'd already been on my watchlist for a month or so! Anyway, I've really been enjoying your videos 😄I collect Barbie from roughly the same period as you do (though my collection is far less impressive haha) but the 80s/90s dolls are probably my favourites! Maybe because it's what I grew up with. I had (and still have) Flying Hero Teresa - it's such a wacky line! My personal favourite 90s Barbie is Hollywood Hair, though - the Teresa in that line is especially pretty imho
Agree the 90s barbies were higher quality than what's out now. With twist n turn waists bendable realistic knees as in no joints showed like the ones today with obvious n unrealistic looking joints showing...(uhh eew imagine If humans were made like that😒). My fave barbies Era is definitely the late 90s Generation Girl CEO face n very early 2000s barbies. ❤❤❤❤❤
Your videos are so fun! Please do a video on Barbie vehicles… we HAD the Western Fun Camper and I have no idea what happened to it. Even if you just show screen grabs or adverts of your faves that would be great
This was very interesting. Your dolls are all in great shape an you as well! Best regards from Germany! PS: Nice to consider, that you love He-Man and She-ra. I`m a big collector of these.
I subbed a while back bt you have an impressive collection and I appreciate the African American representation as a content viewer great content man 💯👍🏿👌🏿
The troll Barbie is reminiscent of some Tressy outfits from the 60's that came with a tiny plastic troll. I remember those little trolls from gumball machines in the 70s.
I am in the same boat….. wasn’t even allowed to touch one of these dolls…. Buuuuuut…. I managed to buy me some and hide them under a stack of action figures in a bin….
