The 2 McDonald’s ones aren’t a set. The Barbie and Kelly is made in 2001 and the Stacie is made in 1993, just letting you know💗 They have dates on the box
when I watch these kinds of videos, I see Barbies that I even forgot I owned and how much I loved them when I owned them. Super love this video. The early 1990s Barbie with the Play-Tea set was the first and last Barbie my father purchased for me. He wasn't really a toy buyer, he would focus more on the things we needed. So I had always cherished that Barbie until I lost it. I jumped when I saw you had it. I need to find it again and hold one in my collection for memory's sake.
Yes do the second video of your moms Barbie collection. My fav Barbies growing up was American indian Barbie from the American stories collection, Twirl Ballerina Barbie, and"share a smile" Becky that was the first Barbie in a wheelchair. 😁❤️
One message: More more please, you are so detail in description, I can’t get enough of voice dropping. Precious my dear, just precious. You are a gem Rachel.
What a beautiful collection. I'm planning on extending my 90s Barbie collection and I love keeping them in the boxes too since they look so aesthetically pleasing.
Hey Rachel love your video. I’m 47 now so many nostalgic vibes. I had finished playing by 1990. Wish I had a daughter my beautiful sons don’t get barbie’s lol. I love that you love them.
Wow omg the Polynesian Barbie!!!! Omg I LOVED her when I was a kid! I’m an Irish/Italian who did NOT own either the Irish or Italian Barbie’s but I did own the Polynesian Barbie❣️❣️❣️❣️
So yeah you wanna hold on to the evening extravaganza Barbie, it was designed by Mattels first black designer so i imagine that twenty years from now it'll be crazy expensive
I'm a kid and I actually do know what casset tapes are! I actually have one! It's my mums! My mum doesn't remember waht song it was but it's still a vintage item!
The 1st Asian doll was 1981 Oriental Barbie during the 1st wave of Dolls of the World. 1986 was the year both Dana from Barbie and the Rockers and Miko from Tropical line came out with the same face mold in the more accessible playline collections. She could usually be found in the swimsuit collection of each year (not always). The problem was probably the stores not stocking the stores correctly. (God bless online ordering so that doesn't happen anymore.) According to my book, the Asian facemold dolls in the bathing suit stopped in 2003. There are McDonald's tie-in dolls than ones you have. Stacie and Todd had a Birthday Fun set with Barbie at McDonald's, plus Stacie had a friend set for the Happy Meal line. The Barbie and Kelly McDonald's set I believe was from after 1999 (due to the Generation Girl facemold Barbie has). Love looking at the collection, as my original collection was most thoroughly played with, and I'm slowly collecting 80s-90s dolls again.
Once I went to a Toys "R" Us store and my dad came with and someone phoned him for work and while I was in the Barbie aisle, I saw it... The most beautiful Barbie I ever saw... A 80's or 90's Barbie! I was screaming in my throat and telling my dad I want it but he was on the phone so I couldn't get it... The reason I don't know what decade it's from is because I didn't have enough time to check...
Thank you for sharing this memory!! Barbies are so special because they are our childhood! So fun to look back on and I hope now that you’re older you can get the things you want to! 💕
Have over 600 vintage barbies but most of the ones your showing that were my daughters collection. Most of mine are out of the box except maybe 100 of them including the worthless Chistmas ones.I have the pregnant Midge in the box but I never knew Midge stopped after that! How funny!I have a few Kiras and The Hawaiian barbie from the 70s is gorgeous.I have all the Irish and Spanish barbies too.Asian ken from the movie is selling for $160!Loved seeing alll the barbie things in the movie but the story line was like 30 years too late.I bought Ken in the black suit!!!OMG That Ken is really going up in price!!!!!!!!!!
Noooooo don’t give them to your kids!! I get that they are for playing with but 80s and 90s barbies of course aren’t in circulation anymore so once they get damaged there will be less and less as time goes on, not to mention the amount of money you can get for boxed dolls in great condition, can’t tell you what to do with them but I’d recommend keeping them in box if either your keeping them or getting rid
That being said, some of them don’t hold their value and are not that expensive to buy online. Most 80’s-90’s Barbie’s are about $20-25 and some are up to $35. For regular blonde Barbie especially. So I say if you want to open them up, go for it!
(The cassette tape is the tape. What Barbie has is a walkman, the player you put the tape in. History lesson for free for all the budding young archeologists out there, lol.)
According to Joeslist who is of the most knowledgeable on the subject. One could always ask him, but try to place a small order at least. It goes a year up each annum, so that is about where it would be with everything below that being vintage.
Girlfriend loved watching your video of your mums collection she is a 80's child she didn't have any of the ones your mum has she had 90210 dyan doll and a fountain mermaid barbie and at 42 she purchased the barbie the movie perfect day barbie and Ken and western star barbie and gold disco jumpsuit barbie and denim outfit Ken and gloria and the corvette so far
Wow! You are just like Barbie! You have a fantastic personality! I been a been a movie buff for over fifty years and I had mixed feelings about the movie. I thought the movie had a great look but it was not for young people under 15. It had so many adult issues. If you want to tell a adult story put it in a adult movie. I think it would of made a great musical. 😎
The film was rated PG-13, so obviously it wasn't geared towards children younger than teens. Taking that rating in mind, I think the themes and issues raised in the film were appropriate. Teens aren't exactly clueless as to the world around them.
