I’d say not running ammo crate as Falck is a crime. Every Engineer, especially the good players who survive longer, are severely weakened when nobody drops ammo to resupply rockets. Angel and Irish should run med crate.

I like Irish the most out of the support operators. And I usa a ammo crate with him. Put up the cover, drop the ammo, and voila you have firepost without anyone running out of ammo. And if someone gets downed, you always can res them, no need for a medbag in my opinion when playing Irish.

I personally feel like Lis should be using just about anything with an AP underbarrel, or any engineer for that matter. The extra damage against enemy armor makes the difference a lot of time between a toasted tank or a squad wipe.

Ive been running Liz with EMPs and AT mines. Less throw range than c5 but man its hilarious to chuck mines at a tank

Zain Loadout is awesome. I feel like the Smoke Launcher is a bit overpowered with the SFAR-GL, but I love it.

Some great class setups here I use Zain with ac42, c5 and smokes for assault or a similar Mackay and Sundance setup to yours. I run Liz with either a dmr or the xm8, c5 and smokes for support I'll have to try your Crawford loadout and I never use Boris. For assault I always use Rao with c5 and the SWS10 equipping the 5x, 6x thermal and 8x scopes with the smokes and incendiary underbarrels as my extra slots, they do come in handy

Why on earth would you use med crate with Falck? Use ammo crate since you already have healing, this allows you to use any gun you want. Also when you want to heal yourself, just shoot at the ground, way faster since you skip the animation.

I'm a Bad company veteran. Mostly play recon or support. Just picked up bf2042 for free last month on psplus. The game is better than I thought. And I am in love with paike. At first I was unsure if I like the operator system. But having a upfront recon operator is something I never thought of. Sure sometimes I would run a Smg in past battlefields as a recon to push with my team, if I was not playing support keeping my teammates alive I want to atleast be able to let them spawn near a objective instead of across the map. But the ability to literally see through walls for a few seconds. Offers some unique gameplay options. I will definitely put some hours into this game!

Good class setups. People underestimate the SVK and DM7 on Zain and Irish though. A single hit is enough to make Zain‘s airburst very deadly and Irish can create some nasty headglitch spots supported by IPS and med crate.

I think running the ammo with support is better. Allows you to resupply smokes for safe revives. And keeps the med pin full.

Well I'm playing Rush or breakthrough I'll use Sundance but I'll use the vehicle grenade to just chuck up in the air and it'll take down one of Casper's drones. It's literally free XP You don't even have to see a Target for the most part just chuck a grenade up in the air close to a heavy firefight and you're almost certain to take out one of the drones. Not really that great of a strategy in conquest, but if you're on the attacking side of breakthrough or rush you're almost certain to destroy a drone

all engineers should be running lcmg with ap grenades or the scar with ap grenades.

I don't recommend using any close combat rounds on anything unless its the default extended/drum ammo. Close combat rounds are so bad at longer ranges and the benefit of using them is so miniscule compared to just having more ammo that can actually damage something further than 20m. Just my opinion.

Depends on the map and game type. If you're playing TDM on Spearhead or Stranded, definitely take close combat rounds with an SMG.

It seems like awhile back streamers were recommending the LWO (folding) grip. Catalyst is your choice of the BCG grip more preference or do you think it's an objective advantage?

I think it's advantage on characters not named Mackay, it can tighten up spread that would normally get away from you which is important since you don't have as much mobility. It could also just be personal feeling. The grip that gives you accuracy while strafing is also good.

In my meety fly I teach folks to aim for the Weiner, balls, and butt holes of the enemy. It's very important to hit em where it hurts. Nothing hurts like being shot in the Weiner. There's a 1.9x multiplier right on the butt hole of the characters. It's difficult to hit, but worth a try

depends on the weapon imo. I don’t think they’re too useful short range, but for the longer distances it can help spot people you wouldn’t normally see and get you extra kills.

@@CatalystHD The trick is to slide into gun fights and stay in the crouched position until everyone‘s dead. I can definitely feel the difference in bullet spread. Also in normal gunfights, a quick crouch doesn‘t impact mobility as much as people think. Totally worth it as Engineer.

I don’t understand the scar appeal, too much bullet spread and poor accuracy long range, if I want a long range assault I can use 5x or 3x scope on bsv and three taps so easy. For full auto the m5 is a laser mid range and closer, so don’t see the use case for scar

I have to say and it is my opinion I'm not enjoying I use to until they made support week they literary took c5 from support something that can deal with armored vehicles and gave it to engineer. Like I want to play as support and have my c5 it is not bf if they take something that had been in so many titles and yes im also including bf hardline and the mecanics should be different for gun play engineer where they should have the SMG mechanics and support should have the LMG mecanics. And don't say oh then they will make support op or some crap it is not bf I started to enjoy the class free system before the update now they just fucked it all up I don't want to play as assault or engineer to take out vehicles I'm sorry but they just fucked it up.

BF never had a class which could revive, heal/give ammo AND kill vehicles at the same time. in 2042, you could even use every gun in the game. That would be absurd and the exact reason why the class system was so much needed in this game. Edit: Ofc you don‘t have to like the change but I think it‘s just better this way.
