Finally after 2.5 years of using XB50AP..the right side finally died out. The awesome sound quality stayed the same for 2.5 years and I was very happy with this earbuds..I will miss it.😢
RIP to your earbuds. I had a pair of original JVC XX's that died after 5 of more years of use.. They sounded better than anything else I had heard. All the ones on the market seem like counterfeits. I miss my earbuds dearly..
Did your microphone button wear easily? Mine can still be pressed but not working and microphone is not also working. I hope they find a way for glossy paint cut they chipped off after a while and this earbud will look ugly :(
I had these for almost 2 years my puppy chewed them up. Besides them tasting good for puppy’s theses were very reliable, i even dipped them into water a couple of times, the sound always sounded nice and crisp, the bass was amazing. They do get uncomfortable if you wear them for too long.
I had this exact pair years ago which went alongside my Xperia Z1 and I was very impressed with its build and the sound quality they offered, true to the EXTRA BASS name. Mine were also riddled with chipped metal after a few years of rough usage until I left them in a restaurant and lost them for good. They also got me interested in earbuds because after I lost them I replaced them with 50-60 dollar offerings from Audiofly and Marshall. Eventually I realized that paying for earbuds worth more than 30 dollars weren't worth it because my ears aren't that of an audiophile and I've also discovered a brand called KZ Acoustics that sells great sounding (ang looking) earphones for about half the price of the Sony's I bought those many years ago. Currently owning their wired ES4 and ZSN Pro X and the TWS S1.
I have a pair of jbl c100si, and this is my story: After 20 months, and being soak the entire washing cycle (twice) I can recommend them. Pure gold, drawn from the river of Walmart for... something about 9 bucks. Sound fantastically and they don't seem to perish...
i bought these so many times in a row and has lasted me more than 2 years. EPIC EARBUDS!! the amazing thing they're only from 30 to 40 bucks and sound better than some headphones that cost up to 100 bucks. man these things rock
the model i had is MDR-XB55AP, they look similar and have similar price, i don't know what's the difference. i have mine for 4.5 years, still standing strong. i am not an audiophile, so it sounds good enough for me, since i like sounds to be a little bit more bass, and the noise reduction is really good.
I just bought my 2nd pair of these. There good and cheap to replace bought my 1st pair in 2017 and lasted me until mid 2018 k used mine for sports and pretty much abused the cord on a day to day basis haha.
I used to spend quite a lot on earbuds and they never lasted long, usually buying earbuds from Skullcandy. I got pretty sick of my earbuds dying all the time and Tried getting some on Dollar store, since if they break wouldn't cost me anything (just a buck). But they r pretty crap, bought these sony's in 2018 and not gonna lie somethings happens, the logo, for example, wore out. But still works perfectly.
I love these earbuds! I've owned them for about 4-5 years now! They have travelled the world with me! From my high school days right till College rn. It hasn't let me down. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
my second pair just passed away after 2 years of intense usage. I just ordered my third pair for 22 bucks. imo nothing comes close to these earbuds in the same price range.
Jimmy clearly you know your stuff and your review is absolutely the best here's why… Might have arrived and this is my review. The sound has a great punchy base very pleasing in the midrange is satisfactory and yes the high-frequency is like sticking a knife into your ears… And this starts at the high midrange point it's a bit of a problem. Using the equalizer managed to settle this down and the overall experience is a lot of fun they are decent but they do not have a smooth across the frequency bandwidth. If you like base and I do their perfect but you will have to deal with the highs but that can be achieved 80% through the equalizer. Yeah they're fun. But here's the best part sort of the build quality is the best I've ever seen. They are super comfortable the flat wire system is amazing they never tangle and the button for pars and changing tracks is a nice bonus. The build quality is amazing. So they are a lot of fun very punchy and they sound great you will just have to tune them the best you can through an equalizer. Without an equalizer sorry to say these headphones would fail but we all have equalizers. I enjoy them and their lots of fun and I would recommend them
Awesome review dude! These earbuds are easily the best earbuds I’ve ever had. They’ve lasted me for 4 years and I just bought another pair yesterday! 🙌
still my go to earbud for flights and for switch and vacation. took them to the jungles, beaches, mountains. Best cheap earbud on market for sound quality and doesn't break the bank if they are lost or damaged.
Don't you think that these headphones are a bit too old? In a way where it has an old sound system and you can buy 2021 headphones that have newer sound system. Is that a thing?
Just picked these up on eBay refurbished for $14.49😬 after doing some research and watched about 4 videos I said why not haha. I have the jlab Bluetooth ear buds and they suck battery dies fast way quieter than my Apple oem headphones and no bass whatsoever. So I hope these are louder than my Apple ones and have that extra bass claimed. Solid review I got the black ones 😎
My mic broke today after just over 14 months of use. Anything over a year is a win in my books considering the amount i use mine. Picking up a new pair soon for sure!
I have these. They were soooo good until they broke though that was partly my fault. Now I'm rocking some terrible cheap jbl's and I'm looking for some new ones. Thinking of getting the Sony's again.
I used to have JBL Tune 210 but it broke yesterday and now I am wondering if there is a big difference in audio quality between the JBL tune 210 and the Sony MDR-XB50AP. Is is worth the extra money?? Or should I go for the JBL again?
Jio guys I have similar ones but they're MDR-XB55AP. Sadly my left side died and I wanted to buy new ones. But they're sold out everywhere. Do you know how I can find out if they stopped production and if there are some alternatives to these awesome headphones? Thank you
Have sume suuuoer old ones here, connected to an equaly old LG phone, I think they're either malfunctioning or somehiw my machine is connecting to someones wireless earbuds through thrm. Keep having the sound randomly go up and down with sound affects I've never heard before.
Damn I wouldn't mind getting a pair of these but what you say about the harsh highs is making me not want to. Nice and funny review though ! Thanks mate ! 🙏☺️
i play rainbow six siege, its an fps game and i currently use a hyperx cloud 2 headsets and im looking for earbuds. r6 needs clean sound so u can hear the footsteps and other tiny detailed sounds, so is this worth it? or i should check for something else
Tech Defender I've had my x3s for about 5 months now and the best thing about them is how well you can change the sound using their app. I am a little disappointed that I had lost their charging clip 😢
After 4 years my Sony MDR-XB50AP broken and I really sad because in my country doesn't have this model. Could you suggest me others earbuds with great quality and price?
You can get things like moondrop aria 2 or truthear zero that are somewhat more expensive but sound better. It can get as expensive as $500 dollars things like moondrop variations
These are hands down the best headphones I've ever used sound quality is awesome and the bass is amazing. The mic is very clear perfect for gaming on ps4 and great for taking phone calls as well you cant go wrong with these for only 30 dollar's its a must buy.
bass? i havent found bass at all.... in my phone i adjust it and then were ok... but out of box - no But dont get me wrong . They are good after some tweaking... and not go to distortion if i ad more volume....
Depends, the base dies out after a while, your just might not have it properly. I had a pair and it shook my ears, but the base didnt be as strong after a few months.
I’d love to have a dedicated comparison with the apple EarPods. My old EarPods are not working any knots so I was thinking about getting new one but now I’m wondering whether I should EarPods or the Sony XB55AP
Samsung akg earbuds are trash...they are not loud...the old samsung earphones that comes with s7edge are miles better and louder than akg crap...even the earphones that comes with cheap samsung phones like j3 and a10 are louder than akg
Before watching this video I saw these on Amazon🤣 I actually just ordered these. I just got a PS4 from my brother and I could use some good headsets for them. I saw in the comment section on Amazon that it can be used on the ps4 for chat. I should have them tomorrow can't wait to try them out.
it might be too late but these are decent for gaming but youd be better off getting a 30 buck dedicated headset. Though ive been using them for a year for gaming so maybe that says something
Honestly, my AKG earbuds that came with my S9+ are really good. Probably better than any other earbud I've tried, and many times better than the $160 airpods.... Edit: you can buy them right now on Amazon for $13
@@savagearma No this pair of the video got more frequency i got S10 5G with the AKG Earbuds and used the ones of the video and got better audio than with AKG ones
