i think most people choose nitro because it has a more rugged look for a gaming laptop. ASTIG kumbaga but lenovo is simple pero rock. it can pass a casual to elegant look.
Often, laptop users also wanted to expand more storage on their own thus the nitro has more options and uses standard m.2 slots and the way on how to open the laptop the acer nitro is easier. Another is the TDP like on their RTX 3050, the Nitro have 95watts max and the Ideapad 3 had 85watts and we know that the higher one will generate higher performance than to another. CPU differences especially for doing rendering, the i5 12500h will be better due to it's additional efficiency 4 cores compared to i5-12450h is better (and even the iGPU, the i5 12500h is better). The Nitro has also an additional 1 USB-A port and 2 of the USB-A ports runs up to 10gbps compared to the Ideapad 3 where all of the USB-A ports are 5gbps, tho this could be not be significant if you rarely transfer files and have devices that could achieve such speeds. On external displays, the Nitro and the Ideapad 3 has two display out from the HDMI and the Type-C connection, however the HDMI port on the Acer Nitro is HDMI 2.1 compared to 2.0. And the Acer Nitro series are well known to be the bang-for-the-buck budget device, thus a lot of users tend to get the device. These are the factors I see why a lot of users tend to go with the Nitro. Still, the warranty of the Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 is nice as it lasts as long for 3 years and for students or individuals who uses MS Office, as that lifetime license will be definetely helpful.

@@ujuuju4311not entirely useless, mas smooth padin naman screen mo (barely noticeable) compare sa naka 144hz.. example na lang is.. Nitro 5 can run a certain game at around 144fps but on the other hand Lenovo can do 100fps due to gpu limitations, dyan mo makikita yun differences nila in a way na oo 144hz lang nitro 5 but then nagagamit nya lahat yun unlike sa naka 165hz pero d mo din naman maabot pero example lang yan, sometimes may mga games naman na kayang kaya ma achieve yun max refresh rate ni Lenovo

the biggest factor to consider is how much watts the gpu can output. in my research the lenovo ideapad 3 with rtx3060 is running with less power than the acer nitro with the same specs, so nitro 5 is better for gaming in most cases.
Okay naman ang Ideapad Gaming and even yung Nitro 5, pero kung ganyan ang budget mo mas maganda na mag Legion 5 kana or Helios 300 na mas luma ang CPU and same ang GPU, dahil mas maganda build quality ng Legion at Helios compared sa budget brothers nila. At the same time, di rin naman masyado ma maximize yung lakas ng CPU na intel 12th na dahil yung GPU mo nga ay 3050 lang din, so magkaka bottleneck padin sa performance. Pero nasa inyo padin naman yan kung mas gusto nyo ng latest generation ng CPU or kung mas importante ang better build quality at better cooling. Ang importante ma enjoy mo yung binili mo. =)
legion 5 or this? i've bee wanting legion 5 for a long while with similar specs of this ideapad gaming 3 though i'm really considering lenovo ideapad gaming 3 after doing lots of research
I have the lenovo ideapad gaming 3 gen 6 (2021 version) with ryzen 7 5800h, rtx 3060 6gb, and 16gb ram and ang masasabi ko lang is solid ang budget gaming laptop ng lenovo and as of now wala pa akong na eencounter na problema. Disadvantage niya lang is wala siyang mux switch but so far solid naman yung performance.

hello po, just got my acer nitro 50ye last week and the reasons why i bought it rather than the gaming 3 is because; 1. as you've stated kuya, mas malakas and powerful ang cpu, 2. mas preffered ko yung looks nung nitro 5, thin nung mga vessels than gaming 3 tsaka yung screen ng gaming3 pag inangat is masyadong naag w-wobble kahit iasog asog mo yung latop compared to nitro 5 mas steady at di nakakairitang tingnan and lastly, ang ganda nung rgb keyboard niya unlike sa gaming 3 yun lang HAHAHAHA

since sa work ko puro lenovo ini issue na laptop sakin napakatibay wala ako naging issue sa laptop mismo yung nasira lang sakin power adaptor pero siguro kasi laging napapalupot kaya nasira pero nalaman ko 3 years premium care warranty ang unit na naissue sakin kaya chinat ko lang ang lenovo at pinalitan din nila kinabukasan ng brandnew power adapter ko na company issue laptop kaya subok ko na lenovo pagdating sa warranty at kaya neto lang bumili ako lenovo ideapad gaming 3 15ach6(gen 6) mas pinili ko kesa sa ibang brand esp. acer nitro na sirain at maraming issue .
Just bought this laptop. Yung obvious disadvantage lang nya sa Nitro 5 is maybe the screen (kasi mejo dim ang screen neto compared sa nitro if hindi naka full brightness) and the upgradeability kasi upto 16gb lang yung max ram nung ideapad gaming 3 dual channel, but if you're just gaming casually to mid level, 16gb ram is more than enough. Mas mahal yung nabili kong version ng ideapad gaming 3 around 2k more than the nitro 5 dito sa area namin BUT it already has i5 12500H and an RTX 3050TI, full 4-zone rgb keyboard na rin. Plus with a 165Hz refresh rate, psuedo mux switch (via Lenovo Vantage) free gaming mouse, quality bag and legit Herschel Jacket na kasama sa freebie, plus Lenovo's good build and superb after market services aayaw ka pa ba? Hahaha
@@Cooper17948 welcome sir! Would just also like to emphasize na that laptop is actually upgradeable to upto 32gb ram max. Mejo misleading actually yung statement ng Lenovo na max is 16gb ram lang. Yung meaning pala nila is yung offering nila out of the box na naka install na sa laptop is upto 16gb ram lang, hini yung max upgradeable ram.

Ok... As usual... 😁 Here are my extra takes lods Dustin. Possible reason why this laptop has less attention compared to Acer could be a fault of foreign laptop RU-vidrs. Why? Try checking it out(I won't name any of them) but what I'm always seeing from them are variants of this laptop with 8gb ddr5 ram(in which we all know is crazy expensive to upgrade). Posibleng nahe held back silang bilhin to kasi most of the buyers are unaware na may ddr4 ram variant itong unit na to(which is more affordable to upgrade). I mean, obviously, if bibili ka nito, you'll obviously opt for the 16gb ram config para walang bottleneck sa games. Saan naman ito lamang compared sa Acer? Here are the ff: *Screen refresh rate, response time, and color gamut(usually pag 165hz screen ng lenovo, nasa 300 nit avg, 90+% srgb, 70+%argb & P3 which is good for video editing) While Acer's screen has below 70% srgb and the rest. *Physical camera cover - no need to place stickers kung sensitive ka sa mga peeping toms.🤣 *More quiet fans(Lenovo is well known for this), while Acer's nitro can reach up to a whopping 60 decibels✈️ *Hinge quality - mas assuring yung metal hinge na humahawak sa screen ng lenovo compared sa plastic hinge ng acer.(this is just minor details). *Efficiency - The lower the power it consumes, the longer the battery life. But hey, this laptop's power is more than the i9 9880h which is no joke of a processor... Those are 2019-2020 FLAGSHIP laptop processors na makikita mo sa 150k+ php laptops noon. Minimalistic design - there might be some lambo-ish na details sa laptop, pero hindi naman ganun ka aggressive di tulad ng sa Acer na may linya linya and such. Better Keyboard - Lenovo's TrueStrike(U-shaped) keys always works wonders and never gets old, compared to Acer's "getting stale" keyboard feel and layout. Oh... Don't forget about the lighting, mas maganda kulay ng rgb ng Lenovo. Control center software - Lenovo Vantage>Acer Nitrosense. Mas user friendly ang interface ng Lenovo vantage. Now, I'm not quite sure about which of these has advanced optimus, g-sync, muxx switch. But yeah. If you'll ask me if lenovo or Acer, sa Lenovo na ako. It is a Diamond in the rough.😁👌 3 lang complaints ako about it and those are: *Sana nilagay na lang nila yung 80wh battery nito *Sana naging 16 by 10 yung aspect ratio ng screen para mas madaming makikita sa mga productivity task i.e. using excel, etc. *Sana ginawa na lang nilang 3060 yung gpu (6+vram is a HUGE game changer). Liked and subscribed,,, bumili na kami ng laptop pero second choice namin itong Ideapad Gaming. We just went for a more portable option Ideapad Slim 5 Pro. Hindi pa naman talaga namin kailangan ng graphics card si we saved some money on that.

I think namiss out niyo na yung warranty ng IdeaPad Gaming 3i is 3-Year Premium Care so onsite warranty siya. Technician ni Lenovo pupunta sa bahay ng customer to repair the unit. 😊

I bought this unit last December rather than going with nitro 5 due to the fact that nitro users said that their unit has a lot of issues including lcd flickering and such. I love Ideapad Gaming because of its aesthetic vibes with lowkey gaming accent.

Few things actually bakit mas maganda yung nitro imo. Ang hirap maghanap ng 2242 ssd and even if makahanap ka price is relatively more expensive than a 2280 one due to it being not common, and i have never seen a 2242 ssd na may dram meaning it suffers performance-wise. Add mo pa ba na yung 2242 slot lang yung gen 4 compatible while yung 2280 slot is only gen 3 and not the other way arround, then yeah your taking a performance pebalty lalo na nagrelease na microsoft ng direct storage which allows ssd speeds to affect fps. Additionally, a sata bay is a very welcome addition sa mga naghahanap ng mas murang upgrade ng ssd. Regarding the add-ons, i dont think it matters too much. The bag has a unique design, and so what. If you really care about the bag, bibili ka ng mas maganda. The mouse is not the most important thing and if you care about the mouse then most likely meron ka nang mas magandang mouse keysa yung binigay sayong freebie. For the software naman, it really depends. As someone who mainly works in google docs and not thru ms office then its something i dont really care about, and warranty, from my experience is bs. Almost never mong magagamit yung warranty. Mas mauuna ka pang bumili ng bagong laptop kasi outdated na yung processprs sa loob and seeing how intel amd and nvidia are going today in further increasing performance ng processors nila, yeah mauuna ka nga mag palit ng laptop bago mo kakailanganin yung warranty. If your the kind of person na nakasaksak 24/7 yung laptop mo then i guess baka nga kailanin yung warranty, but even then components are generally strong enough to the point where other than the battery, di masisira yan even after 4 yrs. Also warranty is generally not needed if kaya mong tiisin a day or 2 ng panonood ng youtube kung pano magupgrade and disassemble ng laptop. I know it sounds very pessimistic but as someone who is looking for best value then yeah i will be looking for every nook and cranny trying to squeeze as much as i can from my budget

@@deecee7073 good point. These games can only be applicable if it has a huge difference vs it's mobile version. For example, if it's pc version has Raytracing, 120+hz(applicable with a help of a certain site), and true 4k res.

Seems like your unit is facing a stuck clock issue... that's why GOW is having only 30fps. Check the GPU wattage is limited between 50W-60W range only due to lower CPU clock. Had faced the same issue for sometime and now it's working fine and CPU reaching above 4 GHZ turbo boost speed. GOW on high settings easily gets above 60fps.Going to upload a video soon..
I want to buy this laptop this week, but this scared me. I know that it is capable of running more than 60 fps, but in this video it is barely 30, and I noticed that the watts are 50. Are you sure that it can work on a higher watt if i unlock it?
@@abodzplays9822 yes...4 GB RTX 3050 85W can easily deliver 60 FPS on high settings in GOW with DLSS quality. Make sure you have Dual channel RAM in case of a DDR4 unit for better stability and bit more FPS. New LOQ (New Gen)with RTX 3050 6GB and RTX 4050 are also released.
cguro ung nagustohan lang talgah namin sa nitro is ung termal fan niya,, yes maingay siya pero malakas ung fan which is good.. kaya kapag may heavy work load, it basically cools it down,, yes maingay pero we can use headset.. but hoping their is a loptop that really cools down the loptop on heavy workload

Ung i5-12500H processor talaga ung may actual improvement over the last generation processors. The 12500H trumps over last gen’s i7 processor. The 12450H however, is just a cut down version of the 12500. Those CPU’s are only used for cheap budget laptops like ideapad gaming laptops like these.
Ano po maganda recommended niyo Microfiber cloth para sa Gaming laptop na nag Fingerprint magnet lalo na sa Lcd, Maganda ba po ba lagyan na Skin/Wraps with design ang Gaming laptop para iwas gasgas, etc. Sana masagot niyo Tanong ko thx

Rendering softwares needs atleast 16gb of ram, gpu either rtx 3050 or rx 6600), i5 12400 or ryzen 5 5600 or ryzen 7 5700. This specs usually nasa 55k up na range ng laptops.
Noong Dec, 2022 I am planning to purchase Laptop and pinag iisipan ko kung ano ang bibilhin ko kung ideapad gaming 3 or 50YE. and I consider buying the Ideapad Gaming 3 but I am hesitant to purchase it kasi wala pa ako nakikitang review neto mula sa inyo (Laptop Factory) so in first week of Jan. 2023 I decidedly to purchase 50YE since eto yung may review mula sa channel ninyo. and now I am writing this comment using my Acer nitro 5 50YE. SIguro isang reason din kaya di mabenta si ideapad gaming 3 dahil di nyo pa narereview. and isa ako sa matagal ng nag-aantay na ireview ninyo ang ideapad gaming 3 but now I am happy na sa 50YE
You did the right decision going for 50ye. Basically 165hz on IdeaPad gaming 3 will go to waste mainly because it struggles on performing. Let's be honest with the free mouse it's not something that someone will highly suggest to you. You can sell the free mouse and purchase something better with the money. The 500 peso difference you can already purchase a better mouse than the freebie. I'll go for 50YE as well than this IdeaPad gaming 3. 365 lifetime access has free alternatives.

Mabilis uminit pag maglalaro specially sa may left part ng laptop. pero makasupport naman agad si nitro sense mas better din to provide cooling pads pag gagamitin mo sya ng matagal na na laro. But overall goods sya maganda considering its price. Thermal lang talaga nakikita ko na cons nya ay ano pa pala yung bigat nya. Mabigat sya sa mabigat 2kl sya. But yon marerecommend sayo si 50YE. Goods for future upgrade din sya when it comes sa storage tsaka memory. 👍👍
Mas maganda parin ang 3060 ng nitro compared to this. Problem lang sa nitro is madilim ang screen niya. Kung gagawan ng paraan ng ACER para luminaw ang screen malamang magiging one of the highest sell niya ang bagong nitro 5.
