There were so many more amazing cars I wanted to show you but unfortunately the loud music would have gotten the video de-monetized. Let me know if you want to see more car show coverage in the future! -Olivia
I sure would. I'm subscribing today. I like the Handyman Wagon the best. I'd like to see one like that totally restored. I'm just saying. You don't see them anymore.
I'm getting very tired of all the patina cars, and especially the fake patina cars. They are really just a way to not finish a project car. Clear coat on rust is so ghetto !
Surprised how many Patina cars and trucks. That far west. Some really nice restorations. And Street machines, Hot Rods and Gassers. Great show just like you said. ❤️💯👍👊
This show derived from Ventura Primer Nationals that used to be mostly patina, hood rides and rat rods. I remember the "No Billet Wheels" disclaimer on the posters as recent as may be 10 years ago.
Man, some days you just don’t want to end! Great show, neat location. I was fortunate enough to get to go to the second show (called ‘The Primer Nationals’ at that time). Thanks for sharing the visit with us!
I brother bought a new GTO (same body style as the Tempest) when he came back from Vietnam. (All the guys did) After seeing the combat they saw they earned it.. I also like the Chevy. Dad had one like it
Great video, thanks for sharing! I’m curious (and sorry if this is a silly question), are fuzzy dice at all a thing still or were they ever in SoCal car culture? Seem them before but didn’t notice any in the cars in the video. Thanks!
Have you guys considered visiting other car shows outside of CA? There's one coming up near Vegas called Henderson Hot Rod Days in Henderson, NV. If you're in SoCal, that trip shouldn't take too long. Just thought I'd mention it, if you're interested in venturing out. Oh, and it's FREE to attend.
You might enjoy following along as I get my late father's wagon back to daily driver condition. Consider subscribing. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-9jJxV_qSNmg.html
Sorry sweetie, but Duke is not a Hamdyman wagon. Handymsn wagons are 2 doors.. 150"s have no trim above and below side windows, 210"s have the chrome above and below side windows (easy way to tell)
@GnarlySpeedShop Us Handyman owners have to deal with being called Nomads, so we get a little touchy. LOL! But we love the 4 doors too! Love all your cars and content!
To me there is nothing cooler than a lowered '59 Chevy. What does "Ventura Nationals" mean? So it's open to all of the nation? Do people drive in from like Nebraska or something?
I'm always amazed at how many people are stuffing their faces with food at these car shows! CMon you can't go a few hours without stuffing yourself!! lol
Pity about that Safari. I mean, I'm 100% cool with heavy patina, but at least plug the craters with Silly Putty, if nothing else. And especially so if the ride is as rare as a '55 Safari coupe-wagon. There's a fine line separating "cool" form "trailer trashy;" thanks to the craters, the Safari has unfortunately crossed said line, IMHO. And I wouldn't be a bit surprised to find out that the wagon also sports the ultra-rare Fred Flintstone floor pans!!!🥸
Worst Trends to happen to car culture... Clearcoat over patina..just paint it.makes me think the owner is too lazy or broke to finish the car Black wheels on everything ...I was hoping this fad was gonna be over 10 years ago Modern power plants in old classics... yeah, I'm talking LS Ridiculous rims with rubber band tires Just to name a few
The fad is here to stay because not everyone can afford an extra $10 to $30k for paint ,rims and original engines. These cars are driven as they should be.
