@@invaderzim1265 Yes sir...i did it 4 times the first time i had to use it...only thing u do have to charge the capacitor a little for it to turn on...i just use a portable charger...once it turns on...attach to car dead battery start it and watch the amps go up...then start the car and unhook it! There is another youtube video showing a guy using it to start a dead battery like Scotty

I bought one almost a year ago on Scotty's recommendation. Finally needed it to start my Chevy service van with a 4.8 liter gas engine. Saved me a lot of time even though I have AAA. Mine has a battery and caps you are supposed to keep charged. It had 25% and cranked it over till it started, and that's why I'm a sub.. paid for itself with one use. Thanks, Scotty...

Hi scott, 2 years ago after watching this video i purchaced this unit. Although sceptical, i kept the unit under my 2015 tacoma seat until yesterday. My daughters car battery was dead in our driveway. Bad alternator....but i pulled out the unit had to find this video to see how to use it again...lol then hoped for the best. With the autowit hooked to my daughters dead battery it charged right up!!!! Then armed unit to start car!!!!! The i cranked over the motor and she cranked overfast and started👍👍👍👍👍. Your video on rack and pinion video about fluid change also helped with steering lock up on this car as well. Thank you for what you do and your passion for quality content.

I first started watching Scotty's videos when I was recovering from a bad car wreck. I still had a concussion and my husband was deployed and I couldn't even talk to him on the phone. Scotty's videos really helped me to begin thinking about cars in a positive context again, and believe me, with a concussion, thinking is hard lol

Abdul Rashid , it takes some of what's left in the battery and quick stores it. Then it quick charges back plus the other part of what's left in the battery and that's what starts the car! No magic.

The dead battery can't supply the "volume" of current to crank the starter. The capacitor is "trickle" charged from the weak current of the battery to provide a large jolt of current needed for starting. No witchcraft.

Thank you...I don't usually use my car but maybe once a month..my battery is good but by me not driving as often my battery died and I'm constantly needing a jump when I want to use it..I'm retired so that's why I don't drive often.. however I've been watching your videos for the past year and you have giving me great tips to tell my family and friends..but this device on this video I really need it..it seems simple to use and I don't have to depend on a jump from strangers at inopportune times me being a female...I definitely want to get this device cause it looks lightweight and I can keep it in my home until time to use it..this is excellent!..thank you for posting your videos..you are saving us time money and headaches.. eternally grateful 😄

J clark just find a cranny in the car and run wires straight to the pos and neg terminals on the super cap pack to the cars battery cables. You’ll never have worry about a battery problem again unless the battery’s cells go out

Bought the SuperCap 1 a couple years ago and it was fantastic. Gave it to one of my sons for his birthday and he said it was a "LIFE SAVER." Only negative thing about the Cap 1 was that it didn't have a case; whereas, the Cap 2 does and a nice one at that.

I bought one of these units after a nightmare experience with roadside assistance. The guy reversed the pos/neg clamps and screwed up my car! 20 issues on the mechanics scan tool! What a hassle with the tow and inconvenience . Now I have the autowit in my trunk. Thanks Scotty!

I bought one. Then my diesel tractor battery wouldn't start the tractor. Worked perfectly and easily out of the box. In fact, my tractor never turned over so quickly. Thanks Scotty!

Follow up: My daughter left her Honda Civic's headlights on. The battery was dead and the interior lights wouldn't even go on. Hooked up the SuperCap and within 3 minutes it charged and started the car. So much easier than jumpers.

Thank you Scotty! I purchased the supercapacitor to jump my Miata's old battery. The Miata battery was completely dead, would not hold a charge and would not charge the supercapacitor. So, I charged the supercapacitor through my other car’s cigarette lighter. The supercapacitor was charged and jumped the dead Miata battery on the first try and in time to go and buy a new battery.

I bought the audew 2000 amp. Works great. Used it to lift my hydraulic jack on the gooseneck, jump a couple cars. Doubles as a cellphone/device charger, built in light and was 67.00.

Wow, that makes so much sense. It's one of those times I wonder why someone didn't think of to before. Capacitors charge up and store electric energy (Volts and amps). With transformers and capacitors, the lower voltage can be converted to 12 volts (transformed) and then stored by charging the capacitor. What a great product! Better than the Li-Ion battery packs. I gotta get me one of these things!

I recommend the Audew 20000a jump starter, it’s cheaper more powerfull (get about 30 jumpstarts on fully dead battery). I went through multiple jump starters and settled on the Audew.

I carry both the Audew and a newer dewit super cap. Because I can still tape on the audew in case I have a bad alternator and get my car to the shop. The dewit is worry free about it being “fully charged”

I got one from Schumacher and it works great. It's the 800a model that cost about $250. It jumped a F550 diesel with two batteries. It was totally dead so I had to charge the unit with another car. It fired right up. The Schumacher models have a glow plug mode so it will work on diesels. Check it out Scotty. They say they last for 10yrs. or more. I was tired of jump box batteries going bad and having to replace the box.

Hi Scotty, ProjectFarm did a video recently of portable jump starters, and he tested this super capacitor. While it did spin the engine fast, it only lasted for 2-3 seconds. Not a long time if you are working on an older vehicle that might need to crank longer. There was other portable chargers that performed great for a similar price.

@@Jay-pv3ql something people need to remember is that these jump packs and boosters are designed for use as a simple jump start when someone has left something on and drained the battery. They are not for trying to start a vehicle that has an issue starting normally. If someone drains their battery trying to start their vehicle, a jump pack isn't going to fix the problem and magically start it for them.

This is not even in the same universe as the best portable jump starter. I bought a JNC 660 jump box and I could literally go a month without charging it, and jumpstart 100 cars including diesel trucks. And most of these car’s batteries are completely dead even after letting them run for a while and turning off the engine the dome light wouldn’t even come on. Even cars with no battery at all. And only $140. If you look at a tow truck driver, car lot, auto auction it’s the jump box you see 99.9% people carrying.

This was an amazing video to watch. I had heard about super caps in the past but had no idea there were available to the public and could be charged from a basically dead battery, enough to jump that same system. Unbelievable stuff. Thx for the video and God bless!

It's basically a boost converter that charges a big capacitor bank using the residual energy of the battery. When the battery is weak, the internal resistance of the battery is very high and when you try to crank it up, the current draw of the starter is enormous, so the voltage of the battery drops too much, and the starter won't spin. That thing provides the kick needed for the starter.

Woah, that's actually pretty smart! The battery has enough power to slow/trickle charge the super capacitors, but not *ummph* to start the car, BUT THE SUPER CAPACITOR CAN!!!

This product would have sure been handy back when I had a bad battery on my manual Honda Civic and I would literally push start that car for 7 straight months. I would always try to park on hills if possible to make it easier. The struggle was real.

Thanks Scotty. I got one of these super capacitor jump starters because of this video. I like in Lubbock and we have freezing winters and hot summers. The winter can make morning starts a gamble but I dont have to worry anymore with this jumper. Best part is it can tolerate just sitting in the Jeep all year till I or someone else needs it.

Hey Scotty, I have been watching your videos for years. I do comments nearly 1% out of the times. I just bought an old Camry 2000, and will travel soon. I’m afraid to be stuck somewhere since it’s cross country. I did not purchase this item but went with another item you recommended years back. It’s the battery one, Noco GB40. The main reason is because I’m afraid my car will not have any percent in it, and I get stuck somewhere. Other than that, this was my top choice. Thanks for your videos!

This tech is so cool! I got a Stanley Fatmax 700 for Christmas in 2016 and it has NEVER jumped a car successfully. I will certainly look into getting one of those super capacitors!
