Scotland History Tours is here for people who want to learn about Scottish history and get ideas for Scottish history tours. I try to make videos which tell you tales from Scotland's past and give you information about key dates in Scottish history and historical places to visit in Scotland. Not all videos are tales from Scotland's history, some of them are about men from Scotland's past or women from Scotland's past. Basically the people who made Scotland. From April 2020 onward I've tried to give ideas for historic days out in Scotland. Essentially these are days out in Scotland for adults who are interested in historical places to visit in Scotland.
As a Scottish history tour guide people ask: Help me plan a Scottish holiday, or help me plan a Scottish vacation if your from the US. So I've tried to give a bit of history, but some places of interest in Scotland as well.

I'm about 20 mins away from the castle, me and my pals would drink in the graveyard and on the walls of said castle, even the drunken youth are usually respectful to it. Growing up in Bannockburn, we learn a lot about our history at a very young age, the way you capitulate the kings and queens of our past is exactly the way we should have been taught at school....ya know...not boring. Anyways, thanks for the content Bruce.

I was born in airthrey castle. Bridge of Allan and somehow I have always had a great love for Stirling castle. It's by far my favourite castle with astoundingly interesting history. Add the romantic bravery of Wallace and Bruce and this whole area of Scotland has a fascinating, hypnotic sense of Drawing you into the past. You can almost imagine hearing the cries of the men, the clashes of weapons , and the hooves of the horses. I just love this area.⚔️⚔️🛡️🛡️🗡️🗡️

When I lived in Stirling, I still remember the stooshie when the Great Hall was painted. I'm Scottish, however, I'm currently living in exile in the middle of Norway. Stirling castle has always been my favourite castle. Many years ago I was there with my mum and dad when we saw the actor Jack Lemon pass us talking to his young (and very bored looking) daughter.. he was telling her to look around, as this castle is a lot older than her country.. Stirling is remarkable, wherever you're walking it feels like you're going uphill.

Stirling Castle is my favourite too. I used to work in Stirling and sometimes walk around the castle in my lunch break. I'm very fond of the slow bus from Stirling to Aloa. Taking in the University campus, The Wallace Monument and the impressive Hillfoots. On the way back the castle keeps popping up to remind us of its presence. The gold wash they used on the restoration of the Great Hall was controversial at the time, imagine what the whole thing would have looked like in gold.

We went swimming at the baths. Watching this evening on the pc, as per usual, with my feet up and a pint. What's the best way to work one's way through your series? In the order you made them? Or is there another way you've mapped out?

Go to the playlists probably. Then they're chunked together by subject. I need to keep them up to date though

I'm in Washington state, making supper, Beef Doner, for my family. I'm a writer... sort of, so my favorite part of your videos, with the exception of Scottish history, is when you say, "Let me tell you a story," and your Gaelic outro. They always make me smile.

I am watching on my computer at my home in Pekin, Illinois USA. both my grandparents on my father side of the family were born and raised in Scotland. they came to the USA when they were young but they never forgot where they came from. I was raised with great pride in my Scottish heritage. I have a interest in learning more about Scotland

I watch sporadically through the day, but my favorite time is bedtime. It's like reading a great book and has the same effect. They soothe the chaos that's my brain while feeding it amazing stories out craves. Thank you, Bruce. Oh, and I live in New Jersey, a stones throw from Philadelphia..

I have ADHD so when I get hooked on a subject I devour all the information I can find on it in a very short amount of time, usually 😂 So I have been watching your videos every chance I get. In bed, at the dinner table, while watching a show, while practicing Gaelic, while cooking... You name it. I just don't watch in public places because they're too distracting. But I'm really appreciating your tours. It is a nice substitute for being able to go to Scotland in person and it's easier for me to focus on than books, podcasts and audiobooks. Very nice with the scenery! Thank you for what you do :)

Answering your question, " How, where do you watch these videos?" : at this moment I'm in my wing back chair watching/ listening to your Stirling Castle video while placing our vendor orders for our Fall line. Usually I watch/listen to your videos Bruce, while cooking my dinner, as my fun break time from my design work in The Studio. Your voice is melodic and you always brighten my mid-day.

Love your videos, very informative and the way you tell the stories keeps it intriguing. I often wonder why at school they were more interested in teaching us shit about the Romans and not our own heritage and what made us who we are today. I'm sitting here watching your video in the living room before I head to bed , that's the norm 👍
