Otz's 9 1/2 hour killer video says the spawn points for the box are the same as for people. In the middle of the map sounds like a killer spawn. Your video has much more information than either his or Hens. Appreciate it.
Thank you so much for the tutorial, I already knew about the box logic from another video but I am glad you can still help the others.. can’t wait for the guide 😉
Thanataphobia with the DMS+Sloppy combo is one of my favorite loadouts on Pinhead as of late. Thana is much nastier when you retain control of the box, not specifically because of the slowdown itself, but because even experienced survivors will constantly try to heal ASAP to get rid of the team speed debuff only to get clapped by a chain hunt and constantly get reset. Keeping everyone injured is no problem once you have control of the box and that's the real strength of Pinhead in terms of actually closing the game. (God Sloppy is so good on him) Since Distortion+Calm Spirit is so common these days due to the Ultimate Locker combo, I've stopped running most Aura reading perks on Pinhead and started running more utility, stealth and slowdown. The last slot is a wild card: Bamboozle helps a lot on the indoor maps since they tend to have a lot of obnoxious windows. Surge(Jolt) works through DMS and is pretty strong on Pinhead in general since you never want to be punting gens as him anyway. Gift of Pain is a fantastic pairing with Pain Res, as is Monstrous Shrine since people rarely see it and will usually greed on the gens, only to cost their team an extra hook stage or two. This works especially well if you hook their box runner in some obnoxious location because they tried to lead you into a dead zone to carry or solve it. (though it is admittedly luck dependent since who knows where those Scourge Hooks are going to spawn)
I don't find thana that great Can you explain why would it be so powerful ? Dors it affect the Lament Config solving Time ? Or only gen/totem Im fairly New to this game with 20h and i started playing the hellpriest, looking for ways to plat it on yt
@@leflashblanc8166 Not a problem. Normally, Thana isn't that good in general because survivors will just heal to reset against most killers by default, which wipes out its value. Where Thana shines is on hit-and-run builds, ideally in conjunction with some other mechanic that discourages healing or slows down the game. (Legion and Plague for example) Pinhead's chain hunts work amazingly well in conjunction with Sloppy Butcher's Mangled+Hemorrhage effects since the chains will hard reset any healing progress the survivors try to make. This forces them to stay injured, which creates a feedback loop that slows the game to a dead halt due to Thana and Dead Man's Switch. Thana isn't necessary, but It gives you a lot more time to chase and acts as insurance against bad box spawns. You still have to have a relatively good first chase though. It's not as easy as it looks on YT.
i'm loving this killer and your videos are so helpfull and clear. It will be hard to be good to handle the box logic but i'm confident that with practice i'll learn.
I love Pinhead so watching this was fun as heck. I can see this being very hard to pull off consecutively but getting p100 on a killer is bound to get you tons of experience. I'm very new well off and on anyways lol and still trying to unock all the perks but this was a very fun game dude ty!
as a big fan of the Hellraiser franchise, Pinhead will be my eternal beloved killer and without a doubt yours videos and gameplays have helped to improve my skills, in fact if you know the box logic where will appear you become an ''annoying'' killer and i love that. Thank you Reaper very helpfull and great video ⛓❤
My favourite killer usually but I haven't played him too much since the box chains change (no relation). A little bit of a shame you say it was a nerf, that people think it's OP, since it's really only OP if the player spends a lot of time and effort working to get good and applying it constantly, and the survivors don't take serious steps to counter it. This is a really special strategy in this game, nobody else has anything like it. Very cool showcase! Hope I see more Pinheads in the wild! 🙂
Thanks for your tutorial it really helped me understand the fundamentals of box logic. I’m still learning but I’ve just been doing customs and I’ve been getting better at knowing where the box is going to be and just box juggling in general just to get better at my understanding of the box.
It can be a lot harder on multiple story maps and indoor maps, the concept is the same but due to the awkward shapes of the indoor maps it can often spawn inside the spawn circles around characters, sometimes it may spawn only a few feet from a player
honestly i always loved pinhead, pretty much since his release, but i just find him soo incredibly hard to play. mentally, i would even think. it’s like playing pinhead is CONSTANT pressure on where to find the box and how to not get survivors to solve it ON TOP of winning your game, downing and hooking survs..
its hard to play ceno at his skill ceiling, but that makes him one of the cooler killers in the game because a lot of people dont want to try to reach that level. not sure if you have seen it but I did post a full guide for ceno that might help!
@@fieldagentreaper i rewatched it several times, and i dont think i’ve learned something new. box logic, shooting chains on top of survs etc. maybe im just inattentive, probably a me problem..
It was amazing playing Pinhead at the beggining, DMS had a 45 seconds of effect and Ruin regressing gens at 200% was amazing. This play style is yet strong (probably the only one you see around) but it was so much better, its sad
Love the DS3 Firelink Shrine music. It's so beautiful, perhaps just lower the volume a little in future just so your voice is a bit more pronounced. Great video though.
Yeeeee somehow volume did not save the way I wanted it to and missed it in my edit double check my apologies but it will be fixed going forward as I found the issue
Because chatter tooth isn’t giving you real game experience the whole point is to give yourself tools to try to get good at this without chatterer tooth and this is extremely viable I have been able to beat comp teams with it several times and put me on a 244 win streak
chatterers tooth also changes the effect of the box though. i suppose to learn the basic spawns of the box it might help but you can usually simplify it to the corners of the map plus the center (where survivors can spawn).
It’s crazy how one extra thing like pin heads box murders solo and good survivors I don’t think I’ve lost a single game of pin head in recent memory at least
I dont think the newest nerf where survs can solve the box without getting stopped by chains is going to change much. It is indeed a nerf, but good players would just wait the 3 chains sequence. This time they dont have to lose is a disadvantage as well the little odd of they getting hit by chains anyways but its not that bad imo
Completely normal problem, it’s much harder on indoor maps and maps that have multiple stories so that’s why having a good headset can help you hear it if you are close enough.
Thanks for the video. Can you tell me where to find documentation on what probability the box appears at what point? Because I found information that for all points that are at least 16m from the survivors and 40m from the Cenobite the probability of the box appearing is the same. But that can't be the case if the search method you and other streamers are using works.
I’m going to be honest I don’t really understand your question but all the info for the values are on the dbd wiki if you are looking for more numbers. I don’t know what you mean “if the search method you and the other are using works” not following with that part
My English is bad, sorry. I mean, the dbd wiki says: 'any spawn locations outside of these radii have an equal chance to be picked as the Lament Configuration's spawn location'. If that's true, the probability of a box appearing in the most remote location shouldn't be as high as it needs to be to regularly find a box there. Anyway, thanks for the reply, I'll look into it. @@fieldagentreaper
so you are correct that is how it works, as I say its not a perfect system when predicting the spawns but it seems to still like picking spots that tend of be farther away, from my experience that is how it works about 90% of the time
Pc players can go into the files and replace any picture based icon with custom ones, this is part of a custom perk pack I commissioned someone to make for me
Can’t believe I’m just now seeing this comment but yes! You do not need any perks or add ons to do box logic, but it makes it easier to do with the use of specific perks and add ons, I would not suggest chatter tooth for box logic as the point of box logic is to keep absurdly long chain hunts going and picking up the box with charterer tooth resets the chain hunt timer
Maybe it’s just a skill issue for me but there needs to be more of a notification on where the box spawns it’s such a waste of time looking for it absolutely horrendous
Depending on if you mean as a survivor or as pinhead yes its either a skill issue or a MAJOR skill issue yea lmao no disrespect. If you are talking about pinhead you do realize that would make him stronger then nurse and the best killer in the game by far and make him way to easy to play which is not a good thing lmao. The entire part of box logic is a skill expression from the player and if you cant pull it off then that is indeed a skill issue as the reward for knowing box logic is having the best pressure in the entire game. If you are talking the survivor side yea not sure what to tell you there just look a bit harder for the giant yellow aura of the cube that spawns every 45 seconds
@@simonfsson817 yea if I had to replace a perk for rapid it would be lethal as you don’t need lethal for box logic it’s just good for training yourself or if you don’t want to use your brain at the start of the game to find the box
I hope to be like you with pinhead. I love pinhead, he is one of my favs but man I literally got the shit beat out of me from this 4 man swf who sent me to The Game map. Moments like that make me feel like I’m terrible
It happens to all of us, you just gotta keep practicing and keep grinding. I was not always this good with pinhead it took lots of practice both in pubs and against comp and pro teams to really hone my skills. You got this 🔥
Coconuts was the one with this evil stategy, not with the infos that hens give but around 7 or 8 months .coconuts uploaded it, if i remember right. More funny and with a more relaxed voice. If i remember right he used sloppy, hex: face the darkness, thrilling hunt and the last i don't know. In midwich and abuse that the cubespawn into a room where survivors can't come in if the cenobite blocks the room
His strategy was more of a camping strategy on the box and was kind of an exploit and wasn’t about box logic spawns, this strategy actually involves you constantly picking up the box and only playing defensive around the box but still allowing people to pick it up so not quite the same.
@@ivansvalker7025 wrong, watch my pinhead guide I just posted it a few days ago and you will see that is a incredible poor mindset to have with pinhead
@@ivansvalker7025 if it wasn’t worth using his m2 I wouldn’t have gotten a 244 winstreak with pinhead and beaten multiple comp teams, the facts say you are wrong and it’s all here on this RU-vid channel lol. Also I have no idea what you mean “break easier” they are the exact same they have been since day 1 patch for pinhead he was never nerfed in that aspect
