Zhongli NOT is S+ tier is a crime. Like you said, he trivializes the game. IDC if he's somewhat of a dps loss, he makes the game literally easy. Also, Itto in C tier is kinda harsh. My Itto swings for about 40K crits consistently and he's only C2. And I don't even run him mono-geo.

19:32 This is possibly one of the wildest takes on Zhongli I've seen. Firstly, you're not a beginner, and I'd assume you'd know how to dodge and learn enemy attack patterns, so you'll obviously have less of a need of Zhongli's shield than an actual beginner. Second, the hardest part about abyss for beginners is not the DPS check. It's about game knowledge and skill level. A player with top tier characters with no idea how to build or utilize them will struggle a lot more than someone who's watched a couple guides or two. Even then, it takes a sizable amount of time to learn core combat mechanics of the game, like reactions, dodging, and rotations. Zhongli has to be possibly the easiest character for a beginner to learn and utilize effectively, whilst still providing a beginner with a DPS boost through survivability and resistance shred. Even strong DPSes like Neuvillette take time to learn how to dodge enemies effectively, while Zhongli allows any character to easily breeze through the survivability check. The problem I have with your take about beginners is that the majority of beginners are not at your skill level. While you may find it more efficient for yourself to pick a strong DPS or offensive support over Zhongli, do you really think that a beginner would be able to utilize those characters more effectively than a one man tank? In your F2P account, you already have the knowledge of how to dodge, build characters, and form teams, but a beginner doesn't have those skills. You didn't put yourself in the shoes of a beginner in your take.

For Ayato I think people underrate him completely. I often hear his name come with the phrase. "Jack of all trades, master of none." Which people tend to use in a negative manner. But what people don't realize is that the full quote is "Jack of all trades, master of none. Though oftentimes, better than master of one." He's so versatile. Has a fun play style. Great burst. All around a very good character for any account imo. He's definitely S.

As you've title the tiers, imo, Zhongli definitely deserves a spot in the Game Changers tier. Simply because that's just what he objectively does. He enables players to quite literally ignore an essential mechanic like dodging, and depending on the team he is in, sometimes deletes the need for a healer. Not to mention that his shield has 100% up time, and as if that wasn't enough, his shield gives a 20% omni shred in a small AOE around the player while it's up...which is all of the time. His burst, disregarding the DMG it does, is essentially a better freeze in terms of cc since it works on cryo slimes and shielded cryo abyss mages. The only enemies it can't petrify are boss enemies. Tired of running around chasing enemies in the abyss and losing precious time? Press Q with Zhongli, now they can't move, if they're even alive that is. Anyways, that's my two cents. I definitely believe Zhongli to be a game changer character and definitely should be in S+ tier.

cyno is the perfect example of a character suffering from success. normally you would think a long burst and a lot of damage is a good thing. but for him, he kills the enemies too fast and unless u run through his entire burst cycle, he won't have enough energy to burst again as soon as the cool down is gone. but if u continue his burst cycle you're supports will run out and he'll be dealing just electro dmg and he can't do much electro damage cuz he's supposed to be played with dendro

I still think Zhong Li is a game changer. He completely changes the way you can play the game. No more dodging. You can completely ignore some game mechanics. For quality of life, he's a must pull. Same with Kokomi. Her healing is massive and basically on 100% uptime. It's almost impossible to die with her on your team. So for quality of life, she's a must pull. If you want to enjoy the game more, pull for these two characters.

I really disagree with you on Baizhu, having to wait for YaoYao's burst to be active for you to get healed is just weird and uncomfortable. Baizhu does it all in his skill and everybody is alive and well with his burst. It so not the same like at all . Seriously.

The only reason I don’t think Nilou is S+ is because she needs a very specific team comp. In my opinion, this slot should be reserved for the most powerful AND flexible characters. If you fit one but don’t fit both, drop to S. That said, I’m ABSOLUTELY pulling for her next time she comes up! I have Yelan, Nahida, and Yao Yao already so all I need now is her lol!

It's definitely unfair to "take your bias" out of Miko's placement then dunk on Klee because "she feels bad." She has risen in popularity a lot thanks to Furina and has very synergetic teams with her, and her previous teams are nowhere near bad, although there is an argument that there are better use for her teammates. Still, your bias is heavily showing with Klee's placement, and I feel like you haven't done enough research to justify her placement.

Diluc may not be top tier damage wise but damn he feels so fluid to play

it's crazy how in the start of the game, cryo was once dubbed as the best element and electro was the worst. Dendro came in and it just swapped.

I was a new player on Neuvillete’s banner and I listened to the wrong people who told me that Hu Tao was better than him. She feels like hot garbage to play and is my most regretted character I have. Hopefully Neuvi get a really quick rerun

As someone who started playing genshin almost exactly a year back and got zhongli in 4.0 He is definitely a game changer. In fontaine the enemies hit so hard that honestly if I could have zhongli on both sides then nothing like it. I feel like DPS has become a non issue as of late due to dendro and hyperbloom where you can run zhongli on deepwood and fav. He's a universal resistance shredder and lets you play literally anyne without having to worry about survivability

Neuvillette is by far the most broken character in game . He's very powerful ❤

No matter how much dehya is hated, I randomly got her in her banner on a 10 pull and love her. Above all, she is beautiful. I play her as sub dps/support in a Raiden, Sara, Bennett team because my Kazuha is already in my Ayaka Freeze team. It's funny and the extra pyro damage isn't bad at all. :D

He doesn't need to do anything else to be top tier, but Kazuha is also amazing for having a stamina reduction passive for dashing and his double jump for launching, gliding, and zero-stamina climbing in a pinch. Being Anemo with a dash passive is amazing because you can run Sayu as a miner or Jean healer or Lynette for her E dash or Wanderer for flight and have effectively infinite stamina. If you have Yelan and don't have Wanderer he's not as good for replacing Wanderer's flight but with another Anemo he at least enables infinite dashing. It's rare enough having an exploration passive that has combat value, but it's also on the absolute best element to have it, and you don't exactly need to find an excuse to put Kazuha in a party.

31:40 one small correction, Furina doesn't just buff elemental damage but damage as a whole, that makes her different from Kazuha who can only buff elements that he can swirl with.

Probably an unpopular opinion, but as a Yanfei main who also has Klee, she feels like a weaker version of Yanfei. Damage-wise Klee might be better because she's still a 5* while Yanfei isn't, but her Yanfei's playstyle feels sooooo much better. Klee's short range feels like torture when you're used to Yanfei who has one of the biggest ranges out of the catalyst users.

Baizhu assesment is unfair. You're expecting him to be Zhongli when in reality he is closer to Xingqiu (interruption resistance and element application wise). Yes his shields are short, but if you're not dodging just because you have a shield - what are you even doing, skill issue, I've never been knocked out in his shield. He gives heals, interruption resistance AND dendro application, his kit is SO incredibly useful and valuable, I wish I had more characters like him of different elements. And his energy needs are not that bad, you can just get a sac or a fav and that's it. For me he felt game-changing, but he deserves S tier at least. Also Yelan is not a game changer because that is Xinqiu, you can't change the game by just copying what's already in it. She is just XQ without the interruption resistance, damage reduction and healing, but with more dmg and buffs for elements other than hydro (yes, one of XQs constellations buffs hydro other than himself). She's really good, but she's no original, let's not kid ourselves. Wanderer....I do agree more or less, but he doesn't consume stamina when dodging, instead he deals a bit of damage while dodging. Just positioning/moving around and using the free dodges is enough most of the time, I almost never have to do the draining dodges with him, those are just hiccups and not an actual problem. Again, skill issue.

I agree with like 99% of this list but I would say Zhongli is S+ for sure for almost any account. Shields are almost never going to stop being useful and he also shreds enemy resistances so your damage dealers can do great damage without having to constantly move or dodge. I think making your team invincible is pretty game changing

Zhongli is absolutely game changing! Even for beginners, he carried me through my start. Late game is where I had to build my supports

unpopular opinion, I don't think nilou is really as broken as he makes it sound. He said it himself that he's ignoring her weaknesses just so he can put her on top of the list. Weaknesses should not be ignored, not to mention you really need to be mindful of who to put in your team (there are so many times i really wanted to put venti or kazuha in a nilou team cause some enemies just don't approach you, but realizes oh you can't put anemo in the team. this might change in the future maybe we'll get a dendro or hydro that can group enemies but i don't think thats happening since hoyo is really focusing anemo to be the only element that can suck). I think she's similar to zhongli, that she's not beginner friendly, since you really need level 90 on your chars for the team to deal damage. I have nilou with level 80 chars, and without proper understanding of who should trigger the blooms, your team DPS plummets significantly to the point you can't 36* abyss. As someone who pulled for her, i don't really recommend pulling for her unless you're a veteran (unless of course you like nilou as a character, then you should definitely pull for her). level 90 characters is a must in her team unless you're mindful who triggers the blooms, and level 90-ing characters take SO MUCH experience books which beginner players DON'T HAVE (or don't have access to level 90). Again i still do think she's a really strong and unique character. but i think this tierlist is overvaluing her cause he said it himself, he ignored her weaknesses.

Wanderer was a game changer for me ,Exploring was never so much fun but now he is always in my exploring team and somehow I managed to get C6 Faruzan and C1 wanderer and he is very fun to use . I you have trouble dodging you can run wanderer freeze teams (wanderer faruzan layla/diona yelan/xingxui) wanderer can also use dehya as teammate(wanderer Faruzan bennet dehya) enabling pryo res

I was using Eula since her release until first sumeru patch. She's great tbh, but Idk if I should say this as her downside or not but when using her ulti and stacking autos, her enemies were long dead before her shard exploded lol. I really love her design so much. I'm glad I pulled her❤

Zhongli and Albedo were my first 5 stars back in December 2020, I didn’t start playing again until I was convinced to come back and got Neuvillette, but now I love my Zhongli with my Neuvillette

awesome tier list , I think Furina position in the tier list might change pretty soon because of future characters , she also enable to any character to use marechaussee hunter set, her off field hydro application and damage. yes we need a healer she comes with pretty good healer "Charlette" I know she is not great but future character going to synergize with her really well (at least i hope), but at this stage yes she feels lot restrictive but man the damage bonus is broken . again super in-depth tier list I hope you reach 1M sub this year .

I am a recent Genshin Impact player with 315 hours under my belt. I managed to gather up 32 characters so far but I have very few S+ and S 5* characters as per your list: Keqing, Furina and Venti. Being a 65 year-old player with fairly stiff fingers, I cannot use my computer keyboard. I use my "magical" Elite Series 2 controller instead. I wrote "magical" because I have logged in thousands of hours on that thing and have yet to experience any stick drift - I love that thing. That's fantastic but I find doing elemental combos difficult because I find taking my finger off the left stick to reach the d-pad awkward. That was until yesterday when it finally dawned on me that I should use the back paddles configured for d-pad input. Now, I can switch characters quickly. PS. Enjoyed the Persona 5 Royal touch in your background music.

As a f2p with raiden being my first 5 star character (other than qiqi) def makes me a little biased but she changed my account forever. I seem to end up using her in almost all my teams, but after getting a few more characters like alhaitham and yelan, she doesn’t seem as impressive or useful. She’s still amazing and probably my favorite, but it’s not hard to see she’s really not broken

The audacity to put my man Lyney in A tier as opposed to S tier His teams are very f2p friendly- you get a free Xiangling and a Bennett if you played that one event. Not to mention any anemo flex, dendro/geo sheilder, c4 yanfei, thoma if you NA all work with him. His damage output is incredible and all his talents are useful. I would argue his dmg ceiling can rival Hu Tao with proper investment. To be fair, he can be vaguely restricing. But I'm a Lyney lover, so I have to come and defend him at all costs. Anyways, love your content man, you're always so consistently entertaining and informative

Nilou should be S tier, very strong but not a game changer at all without Baizhu and/or Kokomi. I don't hate her and I really like her as a character but I don't know why many people say she is game changing

The thing about baizhu is, the purpose of burst wasn't the shield. It just glorifies resistance interruption. The purpose was the buff. On ascension passive 4. After the shield breaks it will release a heal from seamless shield. The character who get that heals will get his buff. 50k hp baizhu gives 100% increase on burgeon, hyperbloom, bloom and 40% aggravate and spread. It's sad that wasn't included while rating him.

Seeing Keqing get the respect she deserves and going in S tier was such a joy. I might be biased because I got her in my first 10 pull and was a main for her for a long time, stopped using her when I pulled Ayaka but I still love using Keqing, just where I'm at in the game (going through inazuma) and when I farm in monastadt for exp books and such electro just feels bad. But she just has such a fun play style and looks so adorable lmao ❤ great video! Stopped playing genshin for a while but Wana get back into it so watching videos on it again and your videos are always such a joy to watch :) keep up the great work man, can tell you put a lot of effort into them and get as much joy into making them as we do watching them

Raiden's only real weakness is that unlike Fischl/Kuki she does literally nothing vs Abyss Shields since her skill requires damage to be dealt to activate. Only flaw in her whole kit (well and not being usable with Beidou).

As a player who has only been playing for about a month with very limited character options, my entire account is based around Tighnari.. Stringless causing as much spread Dmg as possible clears most of the content I’ve encountered so far

I KNOW THIS IS A C0 TIER LIST, SO MY OPINIONS MAY NOT BE ENTIRELY RELEVANT. SO IF YOU DON'T LIKE CONSTELLATION/INVESTMENTS TALK, PLEASE IGNORE THIS. ALSO, TEXT WALL WARNING!!! In my opinion, Neuvillette should be in a tier above on his own. That dude is so busted and there are so many things TC calculations numbers game don't say. People who call him a "DPS-only without providing the team with anything or support" is just batsh*t ignorant (Refer to points 6-8 below). Just at C1 he just trivialize combat content that isn't hydro-immune. Some of the things people don't consider ON TOP of his ridiculous damage: 1. He has broken range and AOE. 2. He can deal with single target, multi target, multi waves with EASE. 3. He is not very burst reliant, especially for overworld enemies. 4. His beam pierces through "physical" shields (Mitachurl, big geo eremites, probably even big double axe guy etc) 5. His beam shreds through elemental shields (Non-Hydro Abyss Mages, Slimes etc. Yes it works on cryo too, especially Mondstadt talent book domain which took me by surprise.) 6. Regarding the DPS-only thing mentioned above, he can spin and hit everything, which makes him equal to a cc slot because he don't need a cc. Heck, it is even better than those cc characters, especially swapping and burst animation is not required, and even more so against large and difficult to/unable to pull enemies. 7. He heals himself by A LOT, which makes him equal to a healer slot because he is pretty much always on field and heals almost half his health every time. 8. At C1, he does not even need shields, he could move around and even when hit, can nullify interruption. This also makes him equal to a shielder slot for not requiring a shield. 9. At this point he could even SOLO the abyss when decently built, making you only have to worry about one other side. What Nahida? What Yelan? What Furina? All those require more members. Yes, its a team game to some people, but the fact that more characters are required compared to his solo ability kind of says something about him being on a whole other level. 10. Even if you have difficulty SOLO-ing abyss, you could just put some unused "0.1% usage rate" characters such as heizou as fillers. A VV heizou + any unused other element + any hydro for resonanace would be overkill enough. Heizou + other element will give Neuvillette 3 Draconic stacks, pretty much 1.6x damage. VV and hydro resonance further increases DPS. 11. Ever seen a c6 Neuvillette spin in combat events? 100k+ score and stuff. There is almost no competition how much better Neuvillette is at multi target multi wave compared to any other maximum invested characters. The only exception being Childe's riptide during certain combat events at low difficulty, but even that is not close enough to a real maxed out Neuvillette. Also battling single target does not diminish his DPS towards that single enemy either. To add on, if a player chooses to invest, his c6 further increases his single target capabilities even further. 12. He is stup*d easy to use. No need to manage maximum stacks buff time, balls don't expire that quickly, no need to manage a bunch of gimmicks like HP loss, damage increase over time etc to output good damage. There isn't anything I can find that isn't hydro immune that Neuvillete can't delete. At higher constellations it gets even more absurd, which makes him the most worth character to invest in, to me, and also why I went all in on him (I mean I have a c6 Nahida and c6 Furina too, but R1). I have videos of him c6 solo Abyss seahorse (70% Hydro resistance) under 1min30s, and him solo a Local Legend with about 20 million equivalent HP (2 million+ HP with I believe 210% hydro resistance or higher, I was doing about 10% of usual damage) in 4min+. If not for the existence of elemental-immune enemies, ALL my characters except ZL and Kazuha would've already been benched. If anything about Hydro immunity, Hydro-immune enemies are the easiest "elemental immunity" enemies to deal with in the entire game. Simply because most of these pricks ARE ALWAYS AFFECTED BY HYDRO. Traveler-Kuki hyperbloom is enough to delete these enemies. Basically Neuvi-Trav-Kuki-Hydro is enough for most combat content overworld (exceptions maybe enemies like the geo cube). Maybe only the 2 Hydro Local Legends will require some skill, but Neuvi can be on field to tank and heal (cancel CA after absorbing balls) while leaving Traveler burst and kuki skill to do the job. He may not output the highest damage in the first few seconds for single target, but his sustained damage is definitely the highest. His closest DPS NUMBERS GAME competitor is pretty much a c6 vape Furina. There are showcases of c6 Furina poking enemies with hundreds of thousands of VAPE damage, but those are, in the end, showcases that require ample preparations such as draining team HP for Jean to maximise Furina buffs instantly (so that the salon members don't take too much time from the 10s limit to attack after using skill, and messing up vapes), fully stacked R5 Key for EM boost, probably instructor set on support, Freedom Sworn. All for 6x c6 special attacks to hit within a tight 10s or less. Anymore enemies, she falls off. Even if its just right number of hits to dispatch all enemies, your team HP will still be quite full due to Jean full heal and Furina passive, and that salon members wont be able to drain much during the time frame. There is also the issue with energy. Very likely the entire team do not have sufficient energy to go for a 2nd wave, while also considering Furina is burst reliant for that vape damage, as well as her skill activation, which has 20s cooldown. That is without considering the POINTS 1-12 I made above. Continuing with c6 Furina Issues, she is single target, walled by shields and can't efficiently break elemental shields (I also have a small clip within a Neuvi focused video where my c6 Furina stuggled with a Shield Mitachurl), wants a healer, prefers an on-field DPS after her 6 hits, can't hit some flying enemies with c6 pneuma because sword be too short, GETS INTERRUPTED (really hated this when I get juggled around by some attacks), MELEE RANGED (just feels clunky and peasant-y having to run up close to enemies after experiencing Neuvillette, also combos with no interruption resistance for extra frustration). One thing about her is that she is way more fun in Co-Op FOR YOUR CO-OP TEAMMATES.

I actually disagree about Zhongli, I have the opposite opinion. I think he's great for beginners who aren't that good at the game yet and I'm super glad he was my first limited 5-star. But as I got further into the game, I started using him less and less because I got better and my characters got stronger so there wasn't a big need for his shield anymore. I think he's definitely S+ tier if you suck at dodging or if you're simply lazy, because it's amazing to just be able to attack the enemies and not have worry about taking any damage. I still use him against weekly bosses and in the Abyss and he's so comfortable, but other than he's not really needed anymore. As for Baizhu I actually really really love him, he's so comfy to play. I don't like to use bursts in the overworld at all and having to wait for my burst in the Abyss because the energy isn't filled up yet would stress me out when it comes to healing, so I much prefer healers who heal with their skill, and I think Baizhu is the best one who does that. Of course there's Kokomi too who heals a ton, but I definitely prefer Baizhu over her because he heals your entire party and that's so overpowered. I feel like a lot of times it's a huge risk to try to heal your low HP character by swapping to them because they'll just immediately get oneshot before getting any heals, so it's so much better that you can swap out to a different character and heal the injured one first before putting them on field again. Then again, I do suck at this game so these are just skill issue opinions lmao, I admit Baizhu probably isn't the absolute best healer in the game when you're actually good at playing it, but for people like me he's incredible.

I love Mona for exploration. Her water run glides so smoothly across Teyvat. It’s not the same using other characters lol Idk what weapon you’re “supposed” to have on Nahida, but I have Sac Frags so multiple waves of enemies don’t worry me too much because her skill usually resets. I love her so much 🥰

- I feel like there's definitely some bias going on with nilou. Yes, she is good, but in very particular situations and she is LIMITED ONLY to bloom. A team without a good teamwide healer with Furina feels average. - Lastly, Ganyu fell off pretty hard. There's no way she's Alhaitham, hutao, etc level.

Only 1 thing i would change, raiden is not s+ tier anymore. At c0 her hypercarry and national teams deal less dmg than an alhaitham or nevillette team. That’s why i personally use her with full EM in hyperbloom, she has some value there but not enough to put in S+.

I've found Mona is so absurdly helpful, damage boost, running over water, her bursts has a large AOE and if she's built with emblem you can clear enemy groups with her and Bennett with ease (I also just really like her and I am salty she's so low)

Id say the only way Nuevilette could fall off is if future abysses are less forgiving towards hydro characters as a whole and since a team for nuevilette is really wierd to make, basically needing kazuha and furina, it could lead to some flexibility issues as stated. We will see tho
