Great video, i have a new pool with a uv light, i still use liquid chlorine at night since uv has no residual sanitation. But we always shower before a swim. Wish i could get a salt system to add on that would just keep a .5ppm residual in the pool buy assuming they wont work that low
Would the Enjoy products fall into the mineral sanitizer? I was curious what the Enjoy pucks are made of.

Hello, how is everything? We are a Brazilian chemical industry, and we manufacture chemical products for the treatment of swimming pool water. Congratulations on your videos, the contents are excellent. Our products for the treatment of swimming pool water are 100% chlorine free. Since the oxidation of water is done by hydrogen peroxide, and sanitization is done by a biocide based on quaternary ammonium salts. We would like to know if there is any swimming pool water disinfection methodology, similar to the one we use? Is hydrogen peroxide used in swimming pool water treatment in the United States? Could you tell us the benefits or harms of using it in water treatment?!
When I get a pool im going to use iodine. It'll help restore low iodine levels in anyone that swims in it. It's a lot more expensive but it's natural so I'm more comfortable with it.
Some erroneous information here about ozone. Corona discharge systems are not typically installed on the suction side. They use a pressure-side venturi. Also, ozone is NOT a substitute for a chlorine residual on typical residential installations. It supplements chlorine and greatly reduces its consumption but is incapable of leaving a residual, therefore requiring the addition of chlorine. Likewise, the video's author is confusing UV-C disinfection with UV ozone production. UV-C acts as a disinfectant and can inactivate chloramines whereas UV-V interacts with atmospheric oxygen to create low concentrations of ozone. They are two completely different animals.
@@adamheath9065 Hi Adam. Sun exposure shouldn't have a lot of impact on the performance of an automatic pool cleaner so I'm wondering if you mean which sanitation option is best for a pool that gets a lot of sun. In that instance, maintaining a sufficient cyanuric acid level to help offset chlorine degradation by the sun's UV rays would be very important. Try to keep a residual of between 30-50 ppm of CYA to ensure maximum efficiency of your chlorine, no matter what method of dispensation you are using. Hope this is what you were looking for.
Video is kind of helpful just doesn't tell me what the best way to do everything is number one number two talking about the mineral deal costing money every year there is no system out there that does not cost money every year because of the simple fact you got to buy chemicals so it all costs money every year maybe a price analysis would be more beneficial than talking like the ones going to cost you more than the other that way you have proof what you're saying is factual
