Move to Idaho? Camped in northern Idaho in 1978 and it was so cold in the morning that when I took the boiling coffee off the fire and turned around to get my cup the coffee was froze solid. Not only that, it froze so fast the ice was still warm. Thank God it was July or we may have froze to death.
Pretty good video I believe you might have show cased Caldwell a little better it’s a very cute town with many nice subdivisions and lots of shopping availability I saw trailer parks and not so nice roads on your video ok but you did a pretty good job on other cities in Idaho and was pretty informative. No sir. That’s a downside for sure. There have definitely been winners in this market but when something pops up that half way interests you, you just have to be ready to pull that trigger!
In fact, I’d say the Boise north end is at California levels now. Maybe not the ultra primo coastal signature areas, but certainly at the level of many good areas in notable cities where people aspire to live. It’s pretty interesting.

We plan on moving to Idaho. We like Meridian. Eagle is nice but kind of far out away from the action. Isn't Meridian in a valley prone to flooding though? That is making us think twice.
I have been telling my friends in California, who not move to Idaho. It’s so beautiful here, higher quality life. As long as the couple both work, it’s not an issue to afford the house here. You can spend 400k to buy a nice decent house.
sure, come on up buy all of our houses and push us out of our homes that we can no longer afford! Natives can't afford to live up here anymore and have nowhere to go. The market will crash and it will crash hard! When it does we will all be laughing at th major loss southerners will suffer.

2 months of summer wouldn't be great! apirl and may is great weather for outside, and September and October too.. plus 3 months of heat... pretty nice!
As the Treasure Valley area population ; and the rest of Idaho keeps on growing there won’t be any good affordable apartments because the wages will not keep pace with the rental increase!

Brian, loved the concept of the video but the stats in Southeast Idaho are totally wrong. Zillow definitely not a good source for stats. Feel free to check out our monthly stats video for the updated info. Love the attempt.

I don't know off hand, but i would head to facebook marketplace, hotpads, or zillow for rental info... i do know that the rental market is hotter than the real estate market right now!
lived in OC for 13 years and left in 2012 paying 1680.00 for a one bedroom in South Coast Metro. I checked rent there recently and it's now over 2,000. I pay 2200 in Pasadena right now for a 550 Sq foot studio. Ridiculous. If you're paying 1720 that's not too bad.
Great area! I’d say too two vacation destinations :) on my rating system which was totally correct (sarcasm here obviously) I don’t know that I’d want to live there

We have a governor we are currently trying to recall, most of CA is stupidly democratic, have some of the highest tax, a "drought" every summer, seasonal fires all over the state to the point we can't even go for a walk, some of the highest gas prices, some of the strictest pandemic regulations (we are still wearing masks), horrible gun laws, no real space... i make $30 an hr and can barely afford a 700sq ft 1bd apartment. But yea, it's nice. Move here.
Boise!!! more mild, winters aren't as harsh, fall is longer than eastern or northern Idaho, etc :) I feel like you have been following me for like a year! are you gonna move here?
@@stargazer5073 hopefully that proves accurate! i had a buyer that told me they would buy this year because last summer's prices were out of control... he's down $150k for the same house. sad reality but true :)
@@BoiseRealEstate Except it's true. What people loved about Idaho has been ruined by people from CA, WA and OR. Boise is a mess. Housing prices are ridiculous, traffic is ridiculous. Too many people and not the best from those other states. More homeless, trash, drugs, etc. We've started calling it Mini California. You talking it up to make money is disingenuous.
@@kimammons4014 I hear that argument. I would argue that all industries are better off. The dentist has more patients, the salons have more clients and these aren’t leech’s. These are contributing citizens. House prices unfortunately aren’t what they used to be.
@@BoiseRealEstate yeah, well its hard to get in for appts of any kind, Drs especially which is not a good thing. Most Natives agrr3e with me, its totally out if control. Our aquifur is working ot now. The roads are incredibly packed, stop and go traffic on freeway and side roads, yeah, its just wonderful. Not to mention crime is up. Its not the same place at all. People are rude also. Mini jackson hole. Very sad. They will hunt and fish, reducing the populations of game. Its only a plus for you and other real estate companies. Natives are the ones taking the hit. Taxes skyrocketing. Unbeleivable that you think its a great thing. Are you native??
