As @Ishdoan corrected me, I just wanted to note that I made a mistake and the Windfury Aeromancer identity actually increases the atk speed/move speed of allies who are in the AoE instead of reducing the boss' dmg.
Note: Wind Fury Aeromancer's identity doesn't reduce the damage that the boss does. The atk speed/Move speed replaces the atk power reduction to bosses/mobs
Thanks for the correction. I don't play windfury myself so I just watched the memo vid and put down what he said as the identity skill. Should have done my due diligence in double checking.
the best class to make is the one you'd think you'd vibe with if you are just starting out or wanting to mainswap the best classes to make if you are looking to add a character to your roster that doesn't cost a lung in no particular order support, gunlancer, Transformation scouter or DI, a duplicate of your main
I would add a caveat for red lancer that it's one of the harder entropy classes to play with a pretty low damage floor due to most of your damage coming from two very slow skills with long cooldowns. If either one of them doesn't hit frontal, you lose a massive chunk of your damage. This isn't a huge problem for big slow bosses like Valtan or Brelshaza, but against mobile bosses that move/turn a lot, or bosses with a lot of grabs, it can be very frustrating to play. As a GL main, I see way too many ZDPS GLs out there already. I also feel like Pistoleer is underrated as an easy to play class with a very high damage floor even if its ceiling isn't super meta.
i mean to be fair even if you have 100% uptime and 100% frontal gunlancer is still supposed to be bottom dps the only time gunlancers outperform in the dps department is during learning runs, significantly overgearing their team, or their team being a bunch of glue sniffers
I wouldn't recommend red lancer for newer players either. As you said, front attacking isn't really easy, and you have very long cooldowns, and a lot of downtime. Blue is pretty chill to play. Taunt, turn on the shield, spam buttons, turn off shield, taunt again, turn on shield, spam buttons. It's pretty easy to play. I would have recommended blue lancer personally. It's also pretty cheap to build with stabilized status being one of the cheapest engravings. Blue can do respectable damage with 2 different build variations, one running cursed doll/nightmare, the other being kbw hallu (need food buff iirc). It's nothing insane, but considering you are practically unkillable, you just turn on your shield and hit the boss with the only thought being "is it safe to turn off the shield to taunt?"
@@PlasmoX nightmare is significantly weaker than hallu my problem with hallu is that to do that damage you have to sacrifice your almost entire utility contribution and then you are still fairly weaker than everyone else still hallu does allow the use of atros at least and doesn't eat shit in g2 voldis so there are some upsides to it
I would only recommend Red GL to veteran players that know what they are getting into and already have extensive raid knowledge, and even then they have to enjoy the playstyle of a front attacker. The last couple of raid releases have been very unfavorable to front attackers and sometimes punishes the rest of the raid with some attacks. Although they can provide great utility, its just as easy to become zdps as a front attacker.

If our express is the same as the one KR got then you get a full set of Brel gear upon hitting 1490. You can at least play the class until Akkan then enjoy getting gatekept 🤣
Red GL is my main character. Maybe if you liked tanky characters in other MMOs and you're not afraid of the boss, I recommend it because it's brutal. If it scares you that you have to stand in front of the boss and skill from there, I recommend the blue build. Its damage is not outstanding, but the almost infinite shield makes your life easier if you manage your skills well.
Coming back to the game after a year or so feels great but extra overwhelming with the server merge. Sad that a new character can’t be made where all my progress of 400 hours went. Is it still necessary to go back through all the first islands and such even though the rewards are the lower level honing shards?
I'm thinking going for a non-positional perfect suppression Shadow Hunter, I find myself enjoying the "midrange" aspect of it but still a bit on the fence with Night's edge Soul Eater.

@@MisoxShiru I did and it was a great insight video. I practiced both in Trixion and on solo guardian raid (Mostly Deskaluda) using old power pass on other regions and feel comfortable with each so it mostly comes down to how the class plays and feels. Soul eater is definitively an amazing class to play with great visuals but I think I feel a bit more confident on harder content going with SH PS, still time to think it over. It's great video in any case, keep up the good content ;)
@@thomasblake8504 non-positional PS SH is so comfy to play. You never have to worry about mana and the only thing that is a bit annoying is conviction judgement procs for dom fang management. Its pretty easy to get used to though. The mid-range playstyle is my favorite part as I can still greed dps while the other melee have to run out of AOEs.
I thought about making a breaker when seeing the gameplay in KR when it came out, but I've since changed my mind and I'm going with an eso wardancer. I tried old FI before, and if I invest more into her, I might also play FI in the future, but I want to try eso this time around. Having a scrapper main also influenced my pick due to being able to share some skins that otherwise get put in the storage to collect dust.

I think people are still riding the Pinnacle Hype Train. The class fell off after getting nerfed 3 times in a row... Also having to hit 4 animation locking back attacks one after another doesn't feel great compared to the old Glaiver build
It's not a press-all-the-buttons-randomly class, but it's not hard, you get used to playing her and it's fun. It's not a enjoyable playstyle for everyone tho.
Arguably 2nd hardest class in the game but theres no truly ”hard” classes in the game so just play what you want. If you want to farm mvps SE does that job with less effort than either arcana spec tho

Why do we keep perpetuating the lie that Surge is hard to play? it's a 1 gem class that only requires to land 1 skill, which has super armor, to deal damage. While at the same time having double synergy in head/back attack damage + mov & at.spd synergy. Absolutely broken class top damage while requiring next to 0 skill and great utility. I Can't believe I got pushed away from the class for so long by streamers/content creators claiming surge is "incredibly hard to play" while in reality it barely requires more from you than Legacy scouter or DI Shadow hunter.

Probably because the average surge player is pretty trash despite this. They have an insane ceiling but the floor is so low your at the core of the earth if you've got no fingers. I see blades get gate kept because of this, kinda sad really. RE is harder than surge.
The playstyle isnt hard its having good uptime. The reason the class is dealing the insane dmg is because of 0 CDs and having a 6-8 second cycle. The dmg loss is extremely high the longer you Take to surge making it have a really Low Floor + the Lack of crit. Ppl say its a hard class But dont know what exactly is hard, Not playing it is hard but reaching the Potential dmg Output is. And due to that 90% of surge Players dont do dmg they cant Play high apm classes, where surge is by a Mile the highest apm class in a Game + being entropy.

Pause the video at 0:38 and look at it. You had 0 meter, all 3 meter cycles were available, 2 of them for stagger (QS or QWE), I'm not sure what you mean by messin up rotation when you basic attacked Akkan 3x for no reason. >.
As a none hardcore casual players, we can only play on the weekend. grudge and curse doll is a pain in the as* to play and make the game unenjoyable. me and my friends going to make older classes that have alternatives engraves for the dps and cheaper to gear up (machinist evo, shadow hunter, slayer predator,etc). go* dam why do na players are so toxic for this game? cryyyy

If you are a new player do not play Breaker. it looks nice on clips but if you never played a positional class don't, you gonna hate your life. You don't wanna invest into class with a very hard skill caps (animation canceling to make your Identity last longer? what?). Positional classes are in a VERY bad spot right now. I main WD but I am debating in my head to switch main to one of my assasin's, why? HIT MASTER CLASSES ARE AND FEEL ALOT BETTER TO PLAY. So my advice is to not play fighters if you can avoid it. all of them are in a bad spot because positional classes are in a bad spot. They haven't even said anything about Entropy set yet, all we know is that it will simply be removed, sweet.

@@NInjaken1337 i agree that DB is easy but it is not for alt, you wont see much of potential as an alt untill you land your surge on farm content boss is already phased. And that is why they even buff it constantly, couse it cant perform good as an alt with medicore gems. But as an main it is broken, top dps cieling very mobile best synergy etc....
returning player here, how is slayer doing currently in terms of dmg? i heard that its getting outperformed by scrappers,wardancers,breakers,blades,souleaters, etc.
