When my friends convinced me to try ROM, my first instinct was to pick dancer, because that was the class I played in the old Ragnarok Online. Unfortunately (or fortunately lol) it was not yet available on the EU server, so I had to choose something else. I played a Bash Knight a long time ago on my google account, my daughter also played around with it, she loved riding the Ferris wheel... I dont know what she did but my old account got perma banned! :D I stopped ROM for 2-3 years... and saw an ad here on YT that the freaking Ninja class was coming! I made a new account, was surprised the leveling was a lot quicker now... Made my Shuriken Ninja... guess what, it as TRASH! :D Made a Nogu, got the proper runes, loved it! Made a Tyrant, sucked at it, changed my boss hunt job when Saitama came along, changed to Rathgricy for PVE and never looked back. I have 7/7 Thanatos, 7/7 Saitama, 7/7 Rath, 7/7 Thor. I really missed out on Ronin and Genos but for now it's Thor for PVP/WOE, Rathgricy for everything else.
The first class I picked in ROM was assassin because I thought it was good DPS. Although fine for PvP, it was definitely not good for PvE. For the Code Giveaway let me know which class you chose and why! Be sure to include your server (SEA, Global, or EU). Thanks!
Same, dagger assassin was my PVE mvp hunter then until high tier mvp's came and assasins cannot compete so I put it on the side to try other jobs then created my nogu to replace my assasin. Now I heavily invested on my rathgricy eventhough I still play my assasin from time to time (it still has the most atk on my account) but still nobody can beat rath holistically 😂
@@jeffreykho1830dagger SBX was crazy for PVE. But as for recently I would choose Katar AA Crit build, mostly after Full Back Claw and poison coefficient buffs 🙏🏽
My first class pick is Rogue Bow which i find amusing because it can equip either bow or dagger but because Im not a spender player i find it difficult both in pve and pvp especially ET back then 😂
I'd also say Elf is top tier for end game, stronger than genos and I'd even compare dmg to Ronin. Much cheaper too since you don't need to invest in mdef switch gear. For Airship 15 elite my elf dmg is similar to ronin with the exception of full team supporting ronin dps
Thanks for the heads up, I'll re-examine elf on my beta server (since I'm out of runes). I have a guildmate who is crazy strong with Elf, but I only play certain instances with this guildmate. I haven't seen them in action in Airship. I'll definitely give it a try again!
I started playing as monk coz thats what i was used to using when i was playing classic RO. I changed class following meta class like Mecha, Nogu, RM, Jorm and now Ronin.
IMO, elf is also top tier magic class for pve. I can do almost all weekly with elf solo except wsa and cml 3f, in psr solo just need to know the change armor trick to survive explosion and poison dragon, also i think elf is better/faster in ec elite 60-70 versus slayer. In WSA elf has nice damage I've seen some strong elf that can out damage ronin. Also I want to note that a strong jourm is good on cml 3f cause can hit fast and hit multiple boss with snake form.
First Class that i picked was Creator, you have one pet tank with heall buffs and hellplants for hitting. This was 4 years ago but in that time alice was really hard to kill so i farmed ancient capes with hellplant and the sheep as tank hahah Server: Global Eternal Love Greetings from nydhoggr 😁
My first class in ROM is Assassin. Because when i play RO clasic in PC when i was kid, Assassin look so cool, many player choose that. And when i try it, yeah the damage is big, thats why i choose Assassin. Zahvan SEA Server
LB on Soul Hunting Ground. Make sure to able one hit, high cast time reduce equipment, and boost with cat on Soul Hunting Ground with either move speed or reduce cast time.
Taekwon is my first main and it is still one of the best class for me. Soloing instance and even a mvp hunter killing machine and because of the new rune system it's make me want to back at that class.
For me, it has always been Novice Guardian, the most fun class to play. One thing that is happening is that hero classes are repetitive and monotone in their playstyle, so you get bored doing the same thing all the time.

since the original ragnarok i'm a SinX main, til ROM around 2018, now im sticking to Rath for farming/PVE and then get back to SinX with better gear. bokaxcef Sea Server
I'd say elf is one of the top class in pve/pvp for magic class alongside genos, but genos has a slight advantage due to its anti fatal skill. In pvp genos is boring to use although it's strong so I still prefer jorm or elf in pvp. Elf can also become a utility in 6v6. (SEA)

The first class I picked is Rogue. Ever since OG Ragnarok Online, I have used Rogue classes. Now I'm still Utility Phantom Dancer main but I use different hero classes since they are more viable in PVE. SEA Server
Amazing content as always. Thanks for sharing this. I recently started, made stellar hunter (doing 200k shoot attacks now), in terms of depo at starting stage. It would be helpful if you can create an updated starter guide on 10-15 must do things as a newbie atleast for a few months maybe start game, mid game and end game it would be awesome. Just a question though, where does stellar hunter and the new Fenir fit in or is it Rathgricy, Saint, Lightbringer all the way?
I started playing as SBX cuz of I wanted to be illuga in ragnarok the animation and now I regretted not focusing in sbx cuz of i listened to others that job is only for "high depo" p2w players
Thanks for the tip, I'll try that tip out. I was going to work on a new player guide soon, so that's great to know. I thought you'd need to auto complete the rifts yourself, but it is true that if someone carries you, then you don't need to do it yourself (which is hard for many).
@@WobblyWallaby I've tried a new acc and you need to complete the rift by yourself to raid it. To me MG Begetter is much more easy to complete those rift. Your Homun is very strong even without good gear. I've complete any rift as soon as I reached the requirement level for it, my Begetter clear it so fast and easy. I've started with Ninja and have to wait long until I can clear the rift by myself. Hope this help :) Anyway doing quest is the most effective way to level up new char if you have time. One quest complete give exp nearly as much as a rift raid.
@@lexuanthomai3870 Didnt know you had to solo rift to then raid it. But I helped a new guild member about a month back with this rift trick. You only need to get to is the Lv120 Divine Tree Defense rift, it gives the most base and job experience at material difficulty it gives 54m base and 32m job. Den of Calamity at material difficulty only give 54m base and 31m job experience. Doing the rift trick it took about 2 weeks for my guild mate to get leveled and the following week we got him his first job voucher. Always possible he was doing other things too (which is what I expect) but still you have a lot of CT per day and using 180-320min a day to get 162-324m base and 93-186m job is really good.
True, farming is PvE, but I put that in it's own category. PvE in these videos is for doing well in instances and boss hunting. For farming, Stellar Hunter and Lightbringer are the best overall.
Genos really still the best dps among new classes. (Including Valkyrie) The only Only con for genos is genos not tanky as Valkyrie... Btw i have high hope for khalitbugz to out dps Geno's but lets hope that class dont get nerf badly 😢
So, I just get to the new map, ancient city, it said that I have to farm merit to level up the white knight level, but it said I reached the limit, now I'm level 7 reputation, how and where I can see the limit of getting reputation merit though 😕

I also started as an Assassin since launch day because of my celebrity crush who became a veteran in the PC versrion in the past once used this job class. But around the EP. 6 update, I have to go on "hiatus" because the guild that I joined at that time had gone fully hardcore on PVP and decided to kick anyone deemed too weak for the guild. Class Discrimination is also rampant at that time as well. I admit progressing in the game as an Assassin is PRETTY tough and picking this job class made me feel that I made the worst decision. But after hearing several news about optimizations in the game, I decided to return. Honestly as a PVE only SBX main, IT'S HARD. But fun if you put on the effort. i have genos 7/7 core only 26 depo have good equip and gacha equip .. til now can’t solo lil&cml fl1 epic :( maybe i need ygg card but i don’t have zeny poor account 😂
Personally I have Genos at 7/7 with high depo and can't do it. I find him standing still and being tied to fire and wind to not be the best. It is easier with a tank for sure
my taekwon with 57% depo with new rune can outdamage ronin with 100%+ depo.. i think with the 50% shadow EQ, taekwon will have more survival and can shine more in WSA in the next patch
I always started on merchant for money making in all the ragnarok games, but I'm still always poor lol. So I suggest others to just play what you have most fun with since if you're not having fun you will just end up quitting. I started playing the game with my stellar hunter, the reason was because it can farm well thus ensuring a good zenny income since. But as time goes on i switched to rath due to being kicked out on weekly instances. Then i started to invest in other classes like saint and taekwon because i heard they were good for pve. My starter job is Monk. I have bittersweet time playing the job untill Doram came. Never going back ever since. The introduction of class 4 shut him down Wataru and LB team up to nailed him and Saitama smashing him into pieces. Seriously why don’t dev delete this job from the game? Or just give him some love.

I chose swordsman to rm but the difficulty on making it strong was hard so switched ro nogu. Had both genos and saitama but still stuck to nogu then rath came out just stuck with it. Maybe gonna try khalits and that archer hero class. Im from eu server.
If you're a new player, please don't play this game. It's old and not free-to-play friendly. If you want your character to become more powerful, you will have to spend a lot of money here to obtain cards and deposits. I myself have paid a ridiculous amount of money to purchase BCC in order to buy gacha. I have made 162 deposits, and it's not worth it to spend money on a 5-year-old game. Furthermore, it's not enjoyable anymore because the game itself is repetitive.

I personally prefer Thor. My Thor can clear PvE much better than Genos. I find Genos being fire and wind still has some trouble against some bosses, whereas Thor's insane damage modifiers allow him to fry bosses. Thor is one of the few classes I have that could clear legend isles 1-3 and museum 1-2 without being 7/7 core hero passive.

None. What's remaining are uncles and aunties that are too much invested already in the game. The devs failed to realize that the young generations make a game alive. Young ones won't play this due to extremely pay to win schemes. Too sad that if you are a returnee, the immediate action from the devs is to make you spend money. What a garbage.

I agree, once I switched to hunter after realizing my mistake, it was a lot of fun. I prefer ranged DPS in other RPGs I played too and it was great that I could farm well early on.
I started as Acolyte since High Priest was my job back in RO PC. I don't remember why I chose that class back then, but I really enjoyed its complexity. Imagine my suprise when Saint got released lol. It still is my main class to this day, and I highly recommend it for F2P players starting fresh. Global Eternal Love david.agustin

@@ah-ys8gs when content gets hard you already have different jobs for different situations. For farming those are mainly Stellar Hunter (easiest and flexible), Lightbringer (current meta, yields the most zeny), and Gunslinger (Tyrant; needs good runes). Or else you can do daily rift, which clear automatically and you can sell the items for a similar amount of zeny, if you're not farming offline. It's a good option for those of us who don't buy premium with real money. Even more for those who don't buy premium at exchange either. Moreover, weekly instances need a lot of CT too.
I started by crusader, because it was my favorite class at PC ragnarok. Even being a terrible farmer, and after tank classes became less important in PVE content, I still played with it until its hero class arrived. wodsonslk, global
