I used to hate squirrels. They hated me. I moved and feed birds and was mad about the squirrels eating their food. For the past 3 years, I have been feeding squirrels on a daily basis and named them. I love them now. I feed them black oiled sunflower seeds and it costs me more than my cat at this point in time! ha My boyfriend, who I live with, is intrigued how Eddie, Stewie, Piglet and Tiny just love me. He just bought shelled walnuts and we are going to give them some this weekend. LOVE THIS VIDEO - even if it is 6 years old! Thank you!
Nice story. I didn't really care for them pretty much all my life until about two Years ago. I moved In some Apartments with two big trees In front of my window and every time I walked outside these two squirrels would follow me around and walk up to me. I smoke out my window a lot because I don't feel like going outside and there there they are watching me from a tree. First five Years living here never seen them or any other Squirrels last two Years see them almost every day.

Indeed ! Even though "my" squirrel gets peanuts in shells and hazel nuts, I thought I will introduce him to walnuts. WOW ! His favourite but is the big walnut 😊 Weird, he eats seeds too, but he is far from fat. Had two squirrels but only have one now....I hope she just moved or maybe now has a family.
This is a great video! If you don't think those teeth are sharp?!? I had a squirrel accidentally bite me this year barely touched my finger and slit it open good fashioned! Had to go to the emergency clinic. Didn't require any sutures but I was on antibiotics for two weeks and soaking my finger twice a day. I love the way he's figured out how to hold both halves of the nut. Squirrels fascinate me!I've been giving them unshelled nuts because nuts in shells are hard to find and they're expensive. Even the shelled nuts are pretty pricey. I found some wild nuts in my neighborhood when I go on my walks and I've been picking them up and putting them in bags and I have a nut bucket that I keep them in and hand them out as snacks during the day. They always take them and run off with them probably to bury them I would love to see one crack one to eat. Now I know how they do it though! Those are some sharp little teeth!

Great video! I feed the squirrels who live by me shelled walnuts too and wonder why the take them and run away to a private location to eat them. Also, heard the morning doves in the background too🕊️
What do you think squirrels eat? Celery and radishes? No. They eat acorns, and other seeds, but the squirrels in northeastern America survived on Oak Acorns, Black walnut and Hickory nuts also.
I just gave my buddies first x walnuts n hazelnuts but there use to peanuts n well they didn't seem interested n cached those last so idk if they even like!i paid alot for them!
