I expected gaga to die to that french all in, quite surprised he managed to not only hold but win. I do not think that Cistern of the first hill will get meta, simply cause you need a lot of micro to take advantage of the heals. Though adding monks to heal the catafracts may not be a bad idea.

Being a pc player myself doesn't mean we better than consoles. We all brothers and if you do well on console good for you we support you🙏 Me personally will stick with my mouse and keyboard though👐

what about cistern with the landmark that gives triumph, you have two heals, and then go imperial and do the palantine school and you have a double healing cataphracts, with a printing press cataphract landmark.

The auto key on the other game you speak is so good! God it will be so easy to command

As a G1 1v1 noob, I'd love to have auto queue for vills (and maybe traders?! 🙂). But I can totally see how there is a fine line between QoL and "noobification" of the game. Since there are already key binds that select certain types of military (melee, ranged, cav and siege) I think that's enough.

On discord someone was asking how to beat a pc player from his xbox. My suggestion was "you can connect a mouse and keyboard on your xbox" but he considered it cheating.

Having a mouse doesnt mean you are better but it really gives a massive advantage in microing. No wonder Pc's top rank in crossplay are all PC's and no xbox. Making extreme precise and fast micro moves on a controller is extremely hard

i have an idea for cistern of the first hill so that it gets more play by us gold/plat boomer micro boys, what if you can put the auto drink instead of being it on the cistern, to be on the units, this way you can have your heavy cav and maas drink up while spears archers and horseman wont or have it do less healing but have more charges and faster recharge

Villager queue please! Its so frustrating forgetting about it for like 30s and feeling like you've thrown the game

So, you asked for some input on controller versus m&k. For some perspective, I'm 39, single dad, with 3 kids. So, for the price of 1 PC I can get xboxes for all the family, and I don't get to game much, but have always enjoyed rts since the original warcraft/starcraft series launches as a kid. That said, I've watched a ton of yours, beasty, the kids, and many other channels. The obvious difference is the ease PC has to micro in team fights versus us. If I want to select a single unit, I can tap A on it. I can double tap that unit which selects all of that type in the frame (which doesn't help micro). So my only option is to hold A with an increasing circle from the cursor's point of origin. Meaning I have to time exactly when to let go of A to select exactly what I want. Too long, too many units selected. It takes a second of holding A to start the process as well. The other issue I find is the UI. Simply selecting the mini map requires me to push RB then scroll and select where to look with Y. While I understand we are limited in out button composition and the devs did a wonderful job providing us the opportunity to play this game, the speed with which you guys are able to select units and micro is simply superior. That should win most games at the higher tier. So, auto crafting villagers is a minor nod in our favor. Sure, but compared to the speed you guys can zoom around the map and micro units, we are surely at a disadvantage. I want to be clear, it's not a complaint. Simply an observation. I'm thankful to be able to play what I think is the best RTS game to date. Also, thanks for all your casts and supporting the community as you do. It's been educational and entertaining all at once. 🤜🤛

I think every production building should have auto Q if not just TC. AoE is at its best when you outsmart your opponent and outposition his units. Having to constantly cycle through production buildings and queue units is a skill, yes, but it doesn't mean it makes the gameplay better. It's an outdated mechanic.

queing up vills is the easiest thing to learn and it teaches a lot about the game in the easiest way possible through gameplay. its basically a simple way to train people in multitasking in rts. I dont really care but i dont think cutting the easiest part out will make it easier for newbs.

Villager auto queue is only available for controller. You corrected yourself, wrongly, when you said taht shouldnt say controller but xbox.

YES TO AUTO-QUEUE. Anyone who thinks players will reach the skill ceiling with this are deluded. Even at the top level, players make tons of mistake. This would move the game away from "chores" and focus it on real-time *strategy*.

There is already an auto villager mechanic. Albeit with a (deserved) penalty of making you float alot of res. Its called queueing them. Just queue 20 vills

You can see the humongous difference here. PC player was trolling, overfloating resources since 10m mark, idling vills, absolute troll build and bad timings. Probably watching a movie at the same time. Yet the console player couldn't keep up with that simple micro. If he just sent 2 keshiks in his base he wouldn't even notice his vills getting killed while pushing lol.
