For Stamina restoration your best bet is to cook any 1 endura food on its own (or things like tireless frogs for elixirs) as they fully restore your stamina regardless of how much you have and give you a little bit of temporary on top
@@-wingsofwasp- ive found the carrots pretty often near the sakura trees and the endura shrooms randomly near large trees on sky islands, you could always use sensor+ to look for them and then mark them down on the map
Pizza: hateno cheese, hylian tomato, and tabantha wheat. In order to get the cheese you have to complete a side quest in hateno village that then allows the cheese to be bought in stores
@@urbangoose001can you cook any special meals using the pineapple? I can’t believe that I’m 105 hours into the game and still haven’t discovered it yet.
Literally was in the depths just trying to make some stamina food and only had the one cooking pit but it was my first time using it. As soon as it disappeared I was immediately disappointed and ended up going back above ground and cutting my exploration short.
i was the opposite… i like to over-prepare before exploring so the challenge of “is this going to last b4 i find another cooking pot” is very thrilling 4 me /gen
Not really, you can teleport to basically anywhere from basically anywhere, especially once you get the pad(s) I used the portable cooking pot twice, once just to see how it worked, and the 2nd to make an extra fireproof elixir in the volcano. As long as you’re near a shrine tower or root, you can just go home and go back real fast
I found out early on, I used it to set fire to leaves to get a korok (all fires were out because of rain, but the leaves where covered.) so I got the korok and used it once, very sad, but now I know.
I lost to Ganondorf because I didn't have gloom restoring food... On the second try I plopped down 5 portable cooking pots in his lair and cooked right in front of him.
The 3x haste speed up is the most broken and fun to always have on for me. I use three fleet lotus, one swift flower, and one dragon horn for 30 mins. I would dupe a ton of the fleet lotus if you are still on 1.1.1
I have a few questions cause I don’t know a lot about cooking. 1: Why don’t you use 4 fleet lotus or 4 swift flowers or 2 fleet lotus and 2 swift flowers instead of 3 fleet lotus and 1 swift flower? Does it make the effect stronger if you use different kinds of ingredients? 2: What does the dragon horn do? Make the effect last longer? 3: Does adding 2 dragon horns make the effect even stronger/last even longer? Or is it not worth it to put 2 in it? Thanks in advance man :)
Fun fact they're actually a few shrines that are put right next to areas that have a ton of resources It seems Nintendo watched playthroughs of breath of the wild because they ended up putting shrines in places that people used to put their travel medathion in breath of the wild One of which is an apple orchard on the Crow mountain (So sorry I can't remember the name But it's the second mountain south of the snowy stable that's next to the big crack) You're able to get almost nine golden apples every time you go there and I'm not 100% sure if it regenerates every loading or regenerates every blood moon but it's still an amazing place to get food items since I already have 800 apples, putting five apples together will give you a five heart heal and putting five golden apples together will give you more than 15 hearts so almost an entire row of your hearts I also recommend one of the sky islands that has some hardy bass if I'm correct it has about five or four of them and they respawn every blood moon, Also because the island is drained the fish are extremely easy to get since they don't run away
By the way cooking between 11:30 before a blood moon and 12:30 after the blood moon will increase the health regen or effects of the dish by a substantial amount (Ex 4 bananas normally gives a 3:20 lvl 3 attack up - under blood moon it goes up to 8:20 if it increases effect instead of health)
I love the pizza, which is 1 Tabantha wheat, 1 Hateno cheese (complete the lady's letter sidequest), and 1 Hylian tomato. It generally heals anywhere from 6 to 8 hearts. If that's not enough, just use 5 Hylian tomatoes. That heals over 10 hearts. Go to the forest on the other side of the Riverside stable, and there are plenty of tomatoes over there.
You can save your dragon parts by using monster extract. There is a random chance that it gives you either 30 minutes or 1 minutes and is more likely the 30 minutes under a blood moon. You just save at 11:30 before a cooking pot and star trying until you get the recipes you want, keep saving when you get the 30 minutes or reseting when you get 1 minute. Yes it's a little more extra work than just throwing the dragon horn, but a lot less cheaper and worthwhile considering monster extracts can be bought in tarry town or the ocassional drop from evermeans, its that vs any dragon farming method wich is more work to have at hand enough of your 30 minute dishes, and especially if you plan to upgrade all your armor.
And then you have me who basically only cooks meet skewers and simmered fruit 😅 If I'm prepping for a proper fight I'll just cook up a bunch of food. If I'm just casually out I'll probably not really heal and just go to Link's house every so often to sleep 😅
That seems wholly inferior to just cooking 5 separate Endura Carrot meals and getting as much as 15 full stamina wheels worth of recovery. There's nowhere you need 2 extra wheels to glide to that you couldn't reach more efficiently via Zonai devices.
Reminder that as you gain hearts, the hearty food temp hearts become less helpful: you can never exceed your max hearts. You end up having sort of a bell curve between early game cooking the one or two hearty radishes you find in small combinations for maximum effect, midgame cooking as many as possible to max temporary health and lategame where you go back to cooking less for the full health regen instead of the temporary hearts
heres a very good one: 3 sticky frogs 1 dragon horn and 1 gleeok gut i usually get a 3 teir slip resist for 30 minutes and also if you want a full stam restore a single endura carrot will give you one if you dont like bonus stam
For an even better stamina recipe, just cook 1 Staminoka Fish. It fills up one full circle of stamina. Not too much and just enough for exploring. I have like 20 of these meals bc I use them everywhere.
If you want max speed for 30 min you can do Three Swift Carrots One Swift Violet One Dragon Horn (any type) For two EXTRA rings of stamina Five Endura Carrots
The best recipes are when you learn the perfect ratio of level three ingredients to seasoning so you’re not just eating fried greens and steamed fruit the whole time 🤙
Never throw any hearty food all together at once cook them all seperately as each one will refill your entire health no matter how low it is, making it more valuable to cook each on it's own
If u guys just want lots of food go to the sonapan shrine at satori mountain there should be some trees and I get around 90-120 each harvest I have 236 right now
1 hylean herb, 1 hylean shroom, 1 endura shroom, 1 apple. this is a full stamina refill meal, plus it has extra yellow overfill stamina. cheap great recipe
No, for stamina regen just make a extra stamina meal/elixir, with an endura shroom or tireless frog, any yellow stamina meal gives you a FULL stamina recharge on top of the bonus wheel. And any “hearty” food can make a full heal, with truffles being the most common (in my experience) and fish, either salmon or bass, giving the most bonus hearts, or you can make a full heal only (no bonus) with five gourmet meats
My favorite recipe is 4 golden apples and a horn from the dragon of light. It's really cool, just trust me. Go do it yourself before you read this, as it will spoil the surprise for you. The meal you create will be an absolute waste of your time! However, I hope i have taught you to farm for golden apples by doing this, as it is a good skill to have for late game! Start your collection early!
my favorite recipe, add one of any monster part to get dubios food. Im not joking I will literally make like 50 of these before dungeons cause they heal one heart and are so easy.
I roast all my apples and hylian mushrooms for moderate healing.(I do hearty meals as well) This is nice both early and endgame as well. In early game you don't have a lot of hearts to restore so this makes them effective there. In late game they are good because you'll have a crap ton, and they stack. Plus the feeling of spamming food into Link is never not funny, just like in Skyrim.
How do you get dragon horns? I've tried hitting them and shooting them but nothing happens. I've also tried shooting the lower jaw and hands for claws and fangs but can't get those either, all I get is scales
You can only get something from a dragon when they're glowing and you can only get 1 thing. You shoot inside the mouth when its open for a fang, the body for scales, the claws for claws, and the big horn on their head for a horn. I try to glide right next to whatever piece I want before shooting it with my bow.
My favorite is an energizing veggie porridge. I’m not sure of the real name. I believe I used an endure carrot with normal porridge recipe. It gave me a ton of stamina and hearts
You do not get any health boosts if your hearts are maximum. So as long as you have full health stats, any single hearty radish or hearty truffle cooked will heal you to full hearts. No more 5 cooked prime meats needed. Save them all for end game and your set.
I always use endurance carrots for stamina. One carrot cooked fills all stamina wheels and gives you extra with a few hearts. 5 endurance carrots provide hearts, full stamina and 2 yellow wheels of stamina.
For both BotW and TotK I've tried to commit to a no-teleport run (except to get it if the depths). Because of this my favourite recipe is for a speed elixir. Three hotfooted frogs, any monster part (I've been using Like Like stones because they're higher quality) and one monster extract can get you a 30-minute speed buff. Usually it's only tier 1, but I've currently got a tier-3 elixir jangling around in my inventory so you'll never really know what you'll get with monster extract. I've found I get a long duration more often than not, so it's definitely worth a try :)
attack up: 3 mighty bananas 1 mighty thistle any dragon horn armor up: 3 ironshrooms 1 armouranth any dragon horn stamina: 4 restless crickets any monster part bonus hearts: 5 big hearty radishes i will update this comment when i find the best glow recipe!
5 mighty porgy will give you level 3 attack for 4 minutes and heal a total of 10 hearts if you dont have any thistles, dragon parts, or bananas! due to the industrialized fishing with shock emitters i would recommend making this.
Just for clarification the dragon part MUST BE a horn to get the full 30 minute recipe for Mighty renewal. I tried it first with a scale and got 9 minutes. Second time I used a shard and it dropped down to 5 minutes. Third time I used the dragon horn and got the full 30 minutes.
I just make a boat with a c shaped plow and a shock emitter in the front and sail around the coast of Faron, pick up plenty of mighty and armored porgy’s, im talking 30 fish in 15 minutes, then just cook a dish with 5 of one type and it’s a free 10+ hearts and 4 minutes of high level attack or defense
Question: why 3 mighty bananas and 1 migty thistle instead of 4 mighty bananas or 4 mighty thistles? Does it make it better to pour in several ingredients?
Some ingredients have more effect level / effect points and you need to pass a certain number of points to get the next tier boost. I believe a channel called "Croton" made a video about this and other similar stuff for botw but all of these mechanics are the same in TOTK so I recommend going there
Here is link to playlist of videos ru-vid.com/group/PLAjULYyNSE9aa7aQW31IupW685MO-ZBHc In short: some foods give more effect than others and the combination mentioned might be the most efficient? (Don't trust on that )
@@Lyra_dragonal thanks! That makes sense. But then why don’t they use 4 of the same ingredients that boost an effect a lot? I will watch that vid now, maybe I’ll know it afterwards. Thanks!
