What a great video, all your recent shipping videos are delightful to watch. I would really like to see a video about Palina and Iscan from Legends Arceus, I think its a very underrated shipping and one that truly touched me when I played the game and I describe their relantionship as a the romance that mends hardships, Palina suffered a lot after a lot of tragic events but knowing that Iscan helped her a lot and they were secretely together, despite their opposite clans is very poetic, kinda like romeo and juliet but better, because they, specially Palina grow even more during the course of the Coastlands arc and in the end, both are my favorite wardens in the game (not counting Ingo).

I really do enjoy the relationships that Pokémon shows, even the smaller side ones but i understand why that even with Kukui and Burnet they kept it somewhat light. This is somewhat supposed to be a kids show and i can see how doing things like this would maybe cause some problems which i believe is why they leaned more so into having them be parents. Don't get me wrong i love this ship very much but i also understand the production side of it as well, but like you said maybe someday we'll get the green like for more romantic relationships.

I actually played Dream Radar back when it came out. It was quite the surprise to see Brunett again. I didn't think she would ever get out of this niche gimmick game since it was only interesting in order to get Pokémon with Hidden Abilities and the Totem forms of Boreas, Fulguris and Demeteros. Especially when considering the faces of the other games that are only useful when paired with mainline games like Brigette in Pokémon Box and Pokémon Bank. I mean in that sense, Brigette did make another appearance in a game outside of the one she was introduced in, but she didn't make it into mainline like Brunett did.

And yeah, I guess it was if they went from her first appearance to engagement in like a dozen episodes. Only now do I realize how little romance Pokémon games have. I guess my favorite would be Red × Blue. But like you said, mostly out of a lack of romance in the franchise. They have history, more than any other duo in any games since they were the very first protagonist/rival pair in the franchise. They make for a good childhood friends/rivals to lovers story, and Blue used to be friendly towards Red until he started to act like a jerk a bit before the events of Red and Blue (that's what the instruction manual says). But after that game he grew up, matured, realized that the way he treated Red was unfair and they became friends once again. And fast forward years later when we see them together in the Battle Tree, at which point they would be dating. Some people even like to see their trip to Alola as their honeymoon.

Personnaly i wish we got to see ash and serena, because when they reunited in journey it was like, WOW! HI ASH’ As if the end of xyz never happened

I am a huge fan of the Ash and Serena, but am also a fan of Ash and Goh shipping.

Couples in anime? Well there is AT LEAST one much clearer, better shown, and much more organically clear couple in the anime. Ok, they weren't yet officially a couple/dating, they were never admitting it… but May and Drew so CLEARLY are a couple, that the only more clear couples are people who were actually maried. Except Kukui and Bernett. May and Drew were so well and organically developed pairing that - even though I'm not a big fan of "rivals to lowers" trope - I would rather call them pinacle of pokemon pairings. And actually Ash and Serena are quite clear example too. I mean yeah many people see it as just one-sided crush, but it is very superficial view. They were have some actual build-up and development as a couple. The relationship kinda started as one sided and a mere crush, but it did truly matured throughout their journey through Kalos. And even though Ash didn't realize it - seemingly even after the famous off-camera kiss - he actually DID reciprocate Serena's feeling. For me it's more than just "heavily implied". It may not be "official", as they're not on that stage of their relationship yet, BUT it's pretty much clear canon. They aren't any less true couple than Bernet and Kukui. And while they both are at a still very early stage of their relationships, they get something that Bernett and Kukui always lacked: a true, solid build up, and having their relaitonship organically build throughout the series. They were so incredibly rushed (well being most rushed is the only category they truly deserve title of "best") - for me it absolutely felt like it, and very blatantly at that - as far as I remember it wasn't even make so they were friends who just now started to get feeling for each other, but they practically barely meet (for me it didn't really feel like they actually knew each other before, they were barely aware of each other existance) and then falling for each other right after. Despite we actually had entire generation for organically build their relationship but no, they have to just shoehorn it out of nowhere. Which is strange considering they actually show us they CAN do it right. Ok, maybe with the whole break through You give in the video it doesn't seem AS BAD as I remembered it… but it still is bad. I mean yeah squinting eyes of how sudden and lacking organic build-up it was they were working good as a couple (but it was also "just kinda there) and it's sweet we even seen their child (though that was also… rushed. I mean one generation takes pretty much half a year on average and when we seen their child which was not looking that Young to me. I mean like 6-12 months old or something. Just one gen apart...) and it was nice to see healthy, well functioning relationship… even though it just lacked… something more. But I don't thing being a couple and being parents (of the same person) is really all that much separable Also Delia's husband (Ash dad) is not really "missing". His father is out there, he isn't lost or anything. And yeah we didn't get to actually see him, but it's clearly implied he is there… and as far as I know his constant absence is just reflection of a sad reality of Japan culture when father/husband often can be practically not appearing at family home and just earning money for the family to live. And Who I would like to see with their canonical partner? Well… I actually would like to see Ash and Serena relationship develop further, maybe to the point of their actually dating (and frankly having them appearing in some episode of Horizons as already a couple would be great even if we won't see how exactly come to that). Or maybe May with Drew. I'm also kinda curious who would Liko end with... could it actually be Roy, or maybe some other yet to be introduced character… But also it would be nice to actually see Delia together with her husband. And maybe… having Kukui and Bernet love story actually being done right, with proper build up and all... (And if that wasn't impossible already I would like to see Liko being shown to be daughter of Serena and Ash... I mean it ABSOLUTELY looked like as she could be, for me it kinda felt like it was hinted at some points...) So for me it's not really a such clear cut. But I definitely would like to see it IN THE ANIME. And of course it would be about anime characters, as the Anime was always the main canon for me. Also I don't think that kids being there or not would make a difference - they definitely didn't seem as people who live like after wedding before it actually happening.

So I’m not gonna lie, the anime is not my favorite part of the Pokémon franchise, mostly because of how fast and loose it used to play with lore and internal consistency. So my answer is more from the games, but I would have liked to see Lusamine and Mohn have a happier ending. I mean Mohn’s disappearance was the whole reason she became obsessed with the Ultra Beasts in the first place, right? So while their little epilogue in USUM was fitting (I don’t know if she deserves a totally happy ending yet after her villain arc), the romantic in me wishes they got back together
