The BEST Coverage Defense in Madden 20! No Adjustments Needed! 

What are the best defensive coaching adjustments? I know that base align is one, but should i have them play ball or reciever and should i have them do aggressive tackles to try and cause more fumbles?

kingcinemattic i recommend when you are trying to tackle someone use a conservative tackle, A or X, tackles will happen a lot more unless you over shoot it or if they have a really good juke. things for passing, especially for cover 3, i man up the slot receiver and put a linebacker on the cloud flat to cover that area then i user the middle. What i also do, my opinion, cornerback matchups by speed, so i dont get beat deep unless i press them

Because it doesn’t work. I bet you he has an 90 overall ultimate team and didn’t do a damn thing to earn those players. Maybe he did but now a days dudes are posting videos that say “BEST DEFENSIVE PLAYBOOK IN MADDEN” and then you see they have 95 CBS and 93 safeties 🙄🙄😓

I know when I try these for the most part it works and I have a 80 overall team I just make very minor adjustments. I normally use a dollar set

Ok so this is a comment from another vid I commented on. So in big nickel over g I use the Browns online and that formation let’s you take your RE and LE out and sub them for Lb. I take #95 which is my X factor player, I take him out and then I try to put him in as a nose tackle and I can’t. His name isn’t there. So when I go to put him back in the game as a RE I can’t. His name is gone completely lol it’s a glitch. Because in practice mode it works. But not online.

In my experience when using zone coverage the speed isn't that huge of an issue. You obviously don't want an 85 speed corner or safety, but you can get away with an 88-89 corner as long as they have high play rec / awareness and good zone coverage.

I have 91 Lawrence Taylor and 92 Von Miller on the edges and both of them have edge threat and power specialist abilities and they get to the quarterback really quickly, especially if they try to run outside the pocket lol I haven’t ran this particular play, I usually just use nickel normal Tampa 2 in passing situations with some adjustments and they get to the QB super fast. I was just wondering who your pass rushers were if they weren’t getting any pressure.

Yeah it is underneath routes open 🤷🏾‍♂️ You rather gives those up then deep routes? Plus you can use the underneath stuff and take it away yourself problem solved.

Like I said tho a good user will be able to bump that short route then get back. 99.9 percent of the time it’s going to be at least a drag route ran. On every play with maybe a in route behind it to make you choose. It’s a chess match at that point on what do you wanna give up.

Reason I ask Sherman is a 90 man coverage. Other DBS 70s . But Bosa and Dee Ford are two superstar . Rushers on there . Tried it in practice . Noticed formation worked as long as I was on user control.

Use contains and spys in those cases. You have to adjust based on certain situations. You can't just set it and forget vs every possible outcome in the game.

Be careful running cover 4 palms (I never use it). On certain plays, the safety will dumb out and give up a TD. Regardless if it's a Superstar or X factor defender.

Yeah. It's not the X Factor ability that matters though, it's the regular superstar ability called "Edge Threat". But yes I believe all the superstars that have that ability are also X Factor players.
