Hi there Can I ask hows the hold of the gel? Cause right now(I also have 3b 3c curls) I only use a leave in conditioner and a mousse and that lasts me 6 days of good hair(without refreshing). So I'm hoping the gel would be able to replicate that results
@StrewthFroogals

@hmmmnope2455 I'm sorry but 6 days without refreshing?!?!? That's AMAZIIIIING I'm really curious how do you handle your hair when it's bed time???

@Aeriana.. 7 месяцев назад
@@StrewthFroogalsgirl!! Because I have tried the pineapple, two plats, one plat, in a bonnet out of a bonnet on all of these styles AND MORE and I wake up to a matted mess every morning no matter how moisturized it was. So please, how do yall handle your hair at BEDTIME?!😭
@StrewthFroogals
@StrewthFroogals 7 месяцев назад
@Aeriana.. my best method is to pineapple with a scrunchie and then claw clip it in place so it doesn't slide, and sleep on a satin pillowcase. Any material other than silk/satin is garunteed to cause matting! But even then it often needs a refresh in the morning with a little water, leave-in conditioner and gel, just because of moisture loss!
@hmmmnope2455
@hmmmnope2455 7 месяцев назад
@@StrewthFroogals hi there! I do a pineapple with half of my hair(mainly the top sections) using scrunchie. Then I tip my head forward(so all of my hair is facing upwards basically) and put on my bonnet in a way that makes it seem like I'm plopping my hair. I also sleep on a satin pillowcase(it's just a nightie of my mom's lol). In the morning I take off the bonnet and the scrunchie, shake my head for 5 seconds(without touching my hair), and in a few minutes it'll fall back into its usual shape There are times where I notice curl clumps then I'll separate those(after my hair has settled to its original shape), and I don't use an oil But, I think the biggest reason my hair lasts so long is because of the way I apply my mousse. I apply my leave in conditioner, section my hair, then apply my mousse as if it's a curl cream(so spreading it through all my strands from root to tip. Section by section though) and THEN I brush style my hair with the denman brush. This felt like a game changer for me in terms of longevity

@mohita8414

Flax seed gel is just about EVERYTHING you need. However, if you're new to maintaining your curls or are trying to get them back after having them straightened out, try using a curl boosting cream with flaxseed gel. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. I, personally, use the cheapest one I found in the market. What it does is that it kind of reminds your hair how to curl. (I'd chemically straightened my hair) How to use this: Pre-poo oiling the scalp (please do this for one hour once a week) Shampoo Mask (optional) Conditioner (never aplly it on the scalp and rinse it all out) Squeeze hair to drain out excess water and use flaxseed gel now (with or without the curl cream). I prefer to comb my hair before oiling and then simply rake the gel in my hair with fingers and keep scrunching tightly. Get an old t-shirt or microfibre towel to plop your hair in it for about 20 minutes, no more. Your hair is good for 3-4 days. If you feel you're losing curls after day 1, just spray some water in your hair and scrunch. Water will reactivate the gel.

If your hair is longer with no layers the weight of your hair pulls the roots and midsections straight, leaving just the ends curly. go to a hairdresser that knows how to do a curly cut and if you tell them exactly which way you want your hair to sit they know exactly how to cut it to get that result. It’s nothing like a traditional haircut, it’s made to specifically get the best out of Afro/curly/wavy hair. Look up some videos on it, the before and afters are amazing.
