I was expecting to see luke at the excellent father part because he was the true Father figure in Rory's life and later he became his step dad anyway

you ever just cry bc you don't have what lorelai and rory have? I know I'll never get to be the rory in this situation, but one day I'll be an excellent lorelai.

The line "You were on my side even when I was wrong" FITS SO WELL. People complain a lot about it, but I think it's great that Lorelai never punished her kid for making mistakes. She told Rory when she was wrong but stayed there to hug her and support her everytime.

This had me SOBBING. I'm so lucky to have this kind of relationship with my mom, and it's one of the reasons I adore the show so much
