If you want to avoid the crowds go to Sunshine Village. The gondola and Standish chair is open in the summer and there is over 10 km of trails to hike. You also get an awesome view of Mt. Assiniboine. The Matterhorn of the Canadian Rockies.

@@FloraandNote make sure you have a very high limit on your credit card, Banff is only for the rich now, you can expect at least $300 to $500 a night for hotels, and restaurant prices are at least $100 for 2 people for a nice dinner, munch is about $50 for 2 people
@@rk74194 It is off season now, during the week in off season you can get some deals, restaurants give no discounts in off season. I've been there many times in the past, never again. We stay in Canmore for half the price or less

WOW! The town of Banff is so beautiful. The mountains in Banff look amazing as well. Flora and Note the city of Banff looks so clean. I'm looking forward to you both going to Vancouver soon.
My son and I just returned from a week in Banff, Jasper and had a beaver tail at the same place lol, went up the gondola. Banff town is so busy so glad we stayed in Canmore and jasper town

Too bad you couldn’t go to Moraine Lake-when I went years ago that was the highlight of my trip but back then you could drive there. I’m glad it’s so popular now though. One day I’d like to go back again.🙏
Welcome to Calgary's backyard. If you want to save money, you can just hike up Sulphur Mountain instead of taking the gondola. If you prefer a shorter hike, hike up Tunnel Mountain. Although it's not as high, the view is also magnificent.

Thanks for mentioning not to feed the wildlife and to keep a safe distance! Been to Banff region multiple times and it still amazes me but I'm always disappointed with the amount of vandalism in the region as well. All along the boardwalk and the old weather station itself people have marked it all up. This is also true of so many signs / benches / tree's it's really sad that Parks Canada doesn't do more to make people aware that it's illegal. Also as a drone pilot I really like the footage you used. If anyone is thinking of flying in Banff please know that the footage used is almost certainly stock footage. The reason is that drone use in any of Canada's National Parks is banned and getting a commercial permit to fly is incredibly difficult. The only accessible area remotely close to Banff is the area before Canmore (they have helipads in the town so it's also a no drone area for almost the entire town itself) in and around Deadmans Flats or up close to the Nordic Center.....However it's been a few years since I did my research as I REALLY wanted to fly so those area's might be closed off now as well.

Banff is ruined, we don't go there anymore, it is a crazy place, way to many bus loads of tourists, long line for overpriced restaurants, hotel prices are INSANE. Glad you liked it, but Banff is finished for my wife and I. We prefer the interior of BC where we live
