Its so demotivating when you miss from 1 to up of 5 cards in every deck. This is not a critique to KM, he has to build the best decks afterall, but holyshit the aquisition system than we have in this game right now is kinda sad.
@@OPGrimmz I don't think being broke has anything to do with it for alot of people. For example I'm not broke, yet I do not buy cards. But power creep always hurts when you feel forced to spend money. Spending exorbitant amounts of money on non tangible things you don't actually own, which can be taken away from you at any time doesn't seem smart to me.
@@yugh2agreed I think she is currently the most irreplaceable S5 card atm in the meta. (Short of can’t run Loki without Loki you get it) Jeff Nocturne may have higher numbers but decks but if replaced there isn’t as huge an impact power wise than if you replace MB in any deck that features her
One of the last times I tried playing Doc Oc it was on turn 4 (elysium) and he pulled, in order: Onslaught, Mystique, Iron Man, Blue Marvel. Hit them with the Arishem emote and backed out
Nocturne isn’t a must have in any of the decks she’s in she’s optimal for top players with all the cards but if that’s not you, she can be substituted with so many cards and the deck will be pretty much the same.
22:12 Can't you play Jeff through your own Electro anyway, cause he's Jeff? :D I think it should just be seen as Electro being an early game body that does something useful and you can then turn into a better body with Sersi or Blink.
Deck 1 only missing sage Deck 2 only missing gilgamesh Deck 3 only missing valentina Deck 4 only missing red guardian Deck 5 missing White widow and Makkari Deck 6 missing White widow, USA Agent and Baren Zemo Deck 7 missing White widow, sage, red guardian and Sersi Deck 8 woot woot, got all the cards Deck 9 only missing sage Deck 10 only missing red guardian Deck 11 only missing Sersi Deck 12 only missing red guardian Deck 13 only missing Corvus but will get him this week in spotlights Deck 14 woot woot, got all the cards Just some ramblings from someone who has almost all cards except pretty much only 1 card from each top deck. Card acquisition is so grueling in this game. And every time I get a card that fills a lot of holes in the top decks for me, like red guardian or sage right now, they no longer are staples in the top decks or get power crept by new cards. Pretty annoying. But I guess that I can even play some top decks (I'd say, I can run 3 without any real downgrade as Lokis valentina is really unnecessary I would think) as a f2p player is still pretty amazing. Still grueling that it's only 1 card for most of these decks :/
You care too much about playing the “Top Decks” instead of focusing on the archetypes/ decks/ cards you like to play and getting the cards that fit inside/ along side them. The acquisition system isn’t meant for everyone to have every card. SD has said numerous times that they want everyone’s collections to be personal, unique, and different. Unless you spend money to acquire every card (Which I think is $50 a month) you won’t have every card and that’s just the Free To Play Game experience. You can play and have fun without spending money but if you want to have everything possible you will have to spend money.
@@Kimoni6913 I like the archetypes/ decks/ cards that have a higher win percentage/ cube equity ;) Alright, but seriously: I would just like for there to be a true f2p gaming mode like in hearthstone with hearthstone arena. But of course, marvel snap is a different game with different monetary goals...
It's strange, for me a lot of these decks feel really bad. Let's take Surfer for example (just to do the weekend missions), boy does this deck have a lot of bad matchups. So you didn't draw Surfer? Yea, you are dead. Deck that goes really tall? Dead. Mill? Oh you are so dead, like just concede right away this is going to be embarassing. Getting those 4 wins with Surfer seems like an impossible challenge (still haven't done it, I'm sitting at 2, I just gave up).
I feel like there's ways they can keep the game expensive but make series 3 completion easier/smoother so new players at least can have more cards to choose from while grinding. It feels like they want to make the series 3 climb as bad as possible so people spend money to get through it sometimes
I know SD will not f*** me over. I will use those sweet free borders we getting this week on Jeff/Nocturne since they are the best universal cards that were featured in 80% of these decks. They haven’t touched Jeff since release…..they won’t touch nocturne.
They didn't directly touch Jeff, but I think I would argue the Professor X change is a substantial nerf to Jeff indirectly. Professor X not stopping the movers makes his "Can't be stopped from being played or moved anywhere" text less relevant, making the gap between him and a card like Nightcrawler smaller (though Jeff is still better, don't get me wrong).
Insane that I've been keeping up with the meta cards for the most part but even I am starting to miss 2-3 cards per top deck. Also kinda crazy that we're approaching having 2x more series 5 cards than series 4.
Hey km, I climbed to top 40 with zoo and to me it felt like mobius was the best tech in slot over shadow king, it gives you such an advantage over the first two decks in the list, wanted to know your thoughts about it!
I hope so with the upcoming OTA on Thursday. I think she could be a 5/7 and still be very playable. I’m also curious about moving Sage back to her datamined statline of 4/1 because I think she’s way too much power for 3 energy (2 with Ravonna).
This game will die unless they fix the card acquisition system and get rid of the 300th Knull or MODOK in spotlight caches and actually put good cards back in
AKA: “Give me all the cards for free or I’ll stop playing hence the game will die”. Which isn’t true little Timmy. You aren’t getting the cards for free and the game won’t die if you stop playing.
@@nateallen8639 it’s so ironic that gamers like you are so quick to pull that “mobile game” line as if it’s not a game you’re invested in. So quick to pull the “I don’t care card” when you obviously do if you’re complaining about it online💀
Dude, Where's Ma Kkari got me to infinite. Went from 88 to there with it. 70-83 was PF, no ghost spider (what was I thinking?). 3 days from 93 to 99, then back to 93 same day, and then against all sound reason I got pissed off and aggressive, instead of cube scared, and made infinite from 93 in less than 2 hours. First time infinite, been playing just over 2 months so this is my 3rd season. I didn't have Nebula so I subbed in Spider Ham. It worked just fine. Trading power for nailing a key card quite often. Don't understimate a random cube stealing pig :-D
The first deck is super dependent on matchup. They have a destroy deck, chances ate you lose. They have a Phoenix deck that hits their one third shot to get Phoenix down, you lose. THEY have a surf deck, you lose. They have ANY TECH CARDS with some power behind, YOU LOSE. this barely goes above 50 percent with close to neg cube rates. Just get a deck thats flexible and has some tech to deal with destroy or surf like a blink sand or a good zoo deck and you will loekly get better wins/cube rates
The zoo deck... The second I think I'm not running into a ton of Killmonger I think its fine subbing Ciaera. Then I immediately Hit 3 surfer followed by 3 destroy. I've given up. She stays. She has also won me a few death's domain games. I would also appreciate it if you stop spawning Zero and Maw Shanna! Please and Thank You
When metas spring up like this where so many of the decks are lacking tech pieces and ways to disrupt the opponents side of the board i always default to playing tribunal. Again, when my opponent doesnt have a way to disrupt the combo, tribunal will, more often than not, put up more points (usually many more) than they can handle. So when i come across somebody putting down mysterios and sasquatches i just smile knowing they probably have no way of stopping me. With this in mind though, as much as i really do like the morph tech, i think that spot would be better occupied by a red gaurdian. That card can singlehandedly stop a lot of decks, including the mirror.
What a ride this game has been. Working to infinite was far worse for me than hitting Mythic in MTG Arena. I think I gave myself hard mode by getting to 6k CL in about 3 months rather than trying for infinite in Pool 2 or whatever. Yeah, I spent a lot on this game. But some people spend far worse on golf. The thrills and euphoria of getting to infinite, beating many infinite bordered players along the way, has been worth it. It was a hell of a knife fight from 93 on.
Greener gaming featured the first deck recently too (even I noticed it as your initial cball build); it got a glowing reception there too, and morph Hail Marys were scary good, kudos to this deck thriving now I wanna give it a chance 👌🖤 . Question though; what utility does juggernaut have over Jeff?? Jugg plus Cosmo is neat of course but jugg alone??
You don’t even know what power creep is lmao. Only 4/15 (Mockingbird, Makari, Nocture, Red Guardian) of the best cards in top 10% infinite have been recently released. The rest are Series 3/4 cards with the exception of Nico and Jeff and if you haven’t picked up those two already that’s a skill issue.
Bro lmao facts, I play destroy & all of sudden my opponents are running, Shang, armor, & cosmo. I play tribunal and all of a sudden my opponents have rogue & enchantress😭
Lol, this guy, this is a real meta decks video based on the experience of playing as a top 20 player. Those stats that Alex uses are affected by people playing bots and such. I like Alex, but I rather use this tier list than one that is using data pulling from people who have not even hit infinite yet.
@markmurex6559 does stats don't matter if they are influence by bots. Also your play style might be different from specific decks and therefore you will have very distinct stats. For example, when Thanos was the best deck per the stats, I was pretty mediocre with it. However, Loki did not even make it into Alex's list this week and I still have a good WR CR with it because Loki is more of my playstyle and Thanos is not. So I don't look much into stats but rather what is the meta and how to beat it. Looking at a list of decks based on stats does not give a clear idea of the best decks and how to beat them. But to each their own.
@@vivapr6136 In a 'snappy' game where you win 60% of the time at best, and loose 40% of the time at worst, bots are basically needed for people to progress.
How do you people even get these cards? You obviously are all P2W players. No player with casual play and wants to win with skill have those cards. Do you people make any real original content??
During the "we have 2 blinks" deck breakdown you mention that getting rid of Electro isn't necessary for the deck to keep doing it's thing, but that doing so can sometimes enable you to 2 card with Jeff. Jeff isn't affected by Electro's restriction. You can play 2 cards with electro out at long as Jeff is the second card. "nothing can stop you from playing or moving Jeff". So getting electro off the board is even less important than you talk about. At best it enables a 2 card turn with nebula.

I dont think its a bad thing to point out the acquisition system sucks. Theres a difference between wanting every card and wanting the little gameplay content we do get not to be a miserable experience
@@malthiryvigor6047 why do you see it as miserable experience though? I for one quite enjoy Marvel Snap and I think that’s because I know that this is a game meant for consumers to have fun but I also understand that it’s a game meant for the producers to make money. I think Marvel Snap does a great job at balancing those two. They have created a system where cards are obtainable if you are willing to put the time and effort in to acquire them while also allowing you to out right by them if you so choose. You can (and forever will be able to) argue that the system can be cheaper and they can give you all the things for less time, effort, and/or money but we as consumers also have to realize that the game has to beneficial for the producers as well, if not you will be endlessly complaining about the game and you won’t have a pleasant experience.
The role is cheap, and therefore flexible, deployable power. Possible substitutions are Gladiator, Wolfsbane, and Elsa. In a slightly different role, Sersi, although you need to plan your turn 6 Sersi to hit a Mysterio illusion, Ravonna, Morph duds, and/or your movers.
