Grumpy old man comment inbound! If the line were to end today, I'd be happy with the 12 you've featured here. I would however be frustrated that we don't have any version of Dryden Vos, U-Wing pilot, Iden Versio, Tonnika Sisters, Cobb Vanth, the list goes on. Hasbro, just Make The Mains and get them out of the way so we can get some new unmade characters.
C3po fits perfectly with not only the first 12 but the films in general, we still need a 100% OT vac-metalised 3po. I would also love an AOTC 3po in the vintage collection, great video OOK!
I really do agree with you on your top 12. Amazing that the best OB1 comes from a Non TVC release. I have that one and the Luke you showed. Glad you told me he has ball jointed hips!

I think I went 2 for 1 on the Princess Leia Collection New Hope Leia and R2. Not the best face sculpt, but the soft goods make for a nice figure. R2 is shiny too. Nice list. Enjoying this series.
Another great video, thank you!! For Leia, the one that I like the most is going all the way back to the Power of the Force 2, and using the one from the Leia Collection that came with R2-D2. Still not the figure we should have of this great character in 2023, but in my opinion still nicer than anything else put out.
Love your videos! As for the Vader figures, I wish they would do a TVC Vader with his Tunic over his shoulders/chest in soft goods. The way he had it in A New Hope. The Rouge One Vader would have been perfect for it. It is a wonderful figure but wish they had gone with soft goods for the tunic instead of plastic. Also, I'd love to see a battle damage version of Vader from the Kenobi series or Rebels. We really need those Rebels TVC figures. Some say Hasbro missed the mark on Rebels TVC but we got the original Clone Wars figures that was way before Rebels time. Think we needed more Solo and Rouge One figures as well! I'm headed to my fourth ICCConvention in May. It's like walking into my version of Heaven! Last year I got Ian McDiarmid to personalize my Emporers Throne Room and got a picture with him! He's coming back this year too! If you and Bossk ever get a chance to make it to Nashville for ICCC, It would be so worth it! My first one was in '94 when I was 13 and got to meet Warwick Davis, Peter Mayhew and Anthony Daniels and didn't cost a dime! Now its $100 to meet any of the stars. I so wanted to meet General Veers last year but spent $200 on the Emporer himself. I was only there for a day last year and spent $1000 dollars in the first couple of hours. It's better than Christmas and truly a divine experience!
I only own a couple of vintage collection figures as I'm just starting to collect tvc again after a long break away from the line but the sculpt and new articulation sucked me back in. I own dark times vader. Deluxe tattooine boba fett. Tvc emperor palpatine with lightning fingers. Pulling the trigger on din djarin and the child 2 pack on Thursday for £17😉👌 Bo katan kryze. Fennec shand. Luke skywalker(mando s2) Moff Gideon. Paz vizla. Stormtrooper commander(s) Last jedi card obi wan All figures that's caught my eye and plan on getting this year👍 Good choices o.o.k
A good idea for a video. Videos like these are always interesting because it gets discussion going and honestly you could make a whole sub series that expands beyond the first 12. Other characters could make their way here from the Original Trilogy to the Prequel Trilogy. If they could get the main characters done in a definitive good way then they wouldn't need to keep re-releasing them and then they could focus on people who don't exist yet in figure form be they from new ongoing media like Mandalorian, Andor etc. or they could go back and make figures from these films or shows like the Clone Wars that never got made but they got to get the main characters done the best they can be. Repainting and retooling has always been a thing but surely by now they could get to a point where it wouldn't be a problem? Maybe someday. It definitely is sad that Leia doesn't have even a halfway decent figure released of her. Once you put out the definitive for New Hope you can hopefully do so with the rest of her looks same with her mom Padme. I think the head and face is the key and articulation particularly in the elbows. They did put out a kitbash of that 04 Leia body where they gave her ball hinged elbows instead of the swivel in the Legacy Collection. Released it as Medical Frigate Leia for the ending of Empire because it's basically the same outfit but the head which was new again isn't great. Even their scan tech attempts with some of the more recent offerings don't seem to have helped which is strange. Anyway let's hope for Leia, Luke and everyone's sake they get it sorted. Anyway I think that's it for now but knowing me I've forgotten some stuff. Looking forward to the next video.

Agree with most of these Nick. The only exception I have compared to your list is the 5POA Leia that came in a 2-pack with Han around the time of The Last Jedi. It is probably my favourite ANH Leia likeness, they definitely need a new one for TVC. #makethemains
Why cant we get a Vac-Metal C3P0 in the TVC line. Really needs to be done. Also well overdue to give us a dufinitive Luke, Leia & even Han all 3 need to be done!! They really seem to strugle getting there head sculpts right!!

Hmm, I need to get that Tusken and that Obi-Wan - you're right about that facial likeness, I had no idea it was so good. Not a bad Jawa to have either. Personally I was never a fan of VOTC Han, the anorexia was glaring to me. Hopefully they're finally moving away from that after almost 20 years! That new Endor version is a step in the right direction IMO. That Vader and Stormtrooper are incredible. What I love about Vader is that most of the old plastic capes fit him quite well for those like me who don't like softgoods. The figure has enough neck to accommodate them and look natural whereas with previous Vaders I'd put the plastic capes on but it'd look like he was scrunching his head into his shoulders. I think you said you want softgoods on your ideal Farmboy Luke - well, have to disagree there. They've tried it, and it was a reason that figure was terrible. I wouldn't risk it again. For me the definitive Farmboy Luke is the Resurgence of the Jedi figure with better, more proportional legs that aren't stuck in some ballerina pose. And make him the right colours. Farmboy Luke figures have been all over the place in terms of colours such that offhand I don't even know what would be an accurate colour scheme anymore. So my fervent plea is for the people making these figures to do the research and get it right then stick to it. As for Leia, you're right, scandalous that that fairly poor 2004 figure is the overall best we have still in 2023. Child face, giraffe neck, swivel elbows, knees that bend backwards if you look at them. Plus my VOTC leias are a dirty yellow at this point. At least yours still looks white OOK! I quite like the headsculpt on the POTJ 25th anniversary ''Swing to Freedom'' Leia (packaged with Luke) - trouble is that's a very pose-specific figure.
Love your videos. When both have the same taste. That 3po you chose is really the best. If only they could rerelease him for the people who weren't lucky enough to get him. That newest 3po was absolute dog shit. Why did they even put that in a box. We really need a definitive luke and Leia new hope. Like how have they not been done? They are literally the 2 main characters! Drop what you're doing Hasbro and get on this!
maybe an unpopular opinion, but i'd like them to pause old figures for the next year and catch up with all the new series figures, we have barely anything for each. then go back to figurs that need updating
Awesome video man! For my definitive a new hope Luke, I used the resurgence of the Jedi body, but I got him in that commerative blu ray pack. And I swapped the head with the Stormtrooper Luke head. And it worked out great!!
Definitive BF is possibly ROTJ, I know we've got Morak and Tattooine Boba with upgraded paint apps, but the mold For ROTJ was brand new ( obviously they're milking that) and he has that awesome Cape and it just boba on to the screen version
Man I’ve been in search for the best 3PO. I got the Legacy Collection one with the Ewok throne and my understanding is that it’s a straight repack from the Saga Collection one you have but mine doesn’t look near as good as yours. Mine is a very pale gold, almost a silver compared to yours and the legs are way too wobbly. So then I bought the Episode 3 version which looks better and more yellow gold like yours but it doesn’t have the Episode 4 silver lower leg. So a few days ago I ordered the OTC 3PO online which looks really good online so hoping that one will be a winner when it arrives. Just wondering why my Legacy Collection one gold doesn’t look like yours? Am I wrong that it is the same figure as the Saga Collection one?
