Hi Bastian there. In this tutorial, we will deal with the best diabolo trick for every advanced player who is already more confident in playing. The trick is called Endless One Eighty and I will show you in 6 steps how to master it confidently. The special thing about this trick is that you can do it as many times as you want with enough spin or with a bearing diabolo. To start with this trick, you should be able to play around the leg. If you are still unsure, you will find a link in the upper right corner to learn the trick or refresh your skills.
Otherwise you start in step 1 with a few swings around your leg. In step 2, as soon as your diabolo hits the string after being thrown over your leg and is about to go under your leg again, turn your torso 90 degrees gradually in the direction your diabolo is going under your leg. So as a right-hander, you turn to the left from your point of view and your diabolo swings to the left.
Once your diabolo is close to the end of the string, throw it slightly in the air in step 3 and catch it with the bottom side of the string. Your diabolo is facing your torso with its axis during the up-throw and catch.
So catch it and in step 4 swing the diabolo in a complete circle back to the previous position. This time, move not only your torso, but also your legs further through 90 degrees, so that you are standing rotated a total of 180 degrees from your first starting position. So, as a right-handed person, you turn to the left. Turn during the circular movement of your diabolo and pull your legs apart a little so that it has space to pass through. Alternatively, you can stand a little more wide-legged before the swing to create the necessary space.
Once your diabolo has completed its circular motion, a piece of your string should lie over your playing arm. Now, in step 5, throw it back up in the air a bit and catch it with your upper string side. While your diabolo is flying in the air, turn your wrist down a bit so that the piece of string can leave your arm and you catch the diabolo again.
In the 6th step, swing your diabolo over to the opposite side with enough space under your legs. Continue rotating your entire body 90 degrees so that the axis is again facing you.
From this position, repeat the entire process from step 3, except that you now throw your diabolo up with your weak hand and catch it again with the bottom side of the string. Theoretically, you can now do many more repetitions, depending on the swing and condition of your diabolo. I recommend that you do one more complete rotation of your body from this position and then finish the trick so that it doesn't get too boring.
To finish the trick, you only need to throw the diabolo up again and then catch it with the upper side of the string, as in step 5. This way you play your diabolo in the usual position over your leg again.
