Sahaung: An iconic dive site and a firm favorite among divers and staff alike, Sahaung is a hidden gem. The site comprises a series of underwater boulders and pinnacles that barely break the ocean’s surface. Two separate dives can be enjoyed here, each centered around its own pinnacle. As you descend, the continuously sloping bottom reveals several shelves. Sahaung is renowned as the most famous dive site in the area, offering an enchanting experience between two beautiful pinnacles, where vibrant corals and sea fans surround you.
This biodiverse site teems with life. Frequent encounters include white tip reef sharks, rays, and eagle rays, along with nudibranchs and seahorses. The current can be strong, and visibility hovers around 15 meters. The depth ranges from 5 to 40 meters. With an abundance of soft corals, Sahaung beckons divers to explore its wonders repeatedly. Snappers, surgeonfish, fusiliers, batfish, angelfish, and red-tooth triggerfish populate the pinnacles. Keep an eye out for small white-tip reef sharks concealed beneath the table corals. And for those with a trained eye, the elusive pygmy seahorse may reveal itself among the sea fans. 🌊🐠🦈
