Wow the USB out on the JBL speaker is seriously a game changer!! I didn’t know any of the battery powered speakers had that feature. I was planning to have a separate battery pack for the mics but this is a great option. Great video

I’ve been using that Speaker for 2 years. I love it. Plus I use a the small Numark DJ2Go. I love it.

I use the Mackie Thump Go. Love the sound. I do have to use a jackery for the wireless mic base. Not and issue, but would be nice for less to pack and carry. I almost bought the Everse 8. Awesome speaker. I didn't know the JBL could also be used to provide power.

Great video! We use and love the JBL Eon one compact for small-medium wedding ceremonies and remote gigs. It's the only battery powered PA we could find that has 48V phantom power for a condenser mic (used to mic our voices & acoustic instruments) + the USB DC out to power our wireless mic receiver for the officiant. Very similar setup to yours. Nice and compact w/ quick setup & teardown. Sometimes I wish it was a bit louder, but the overall convenience is incredible. The app is impressive - great EQ & effects. Wireless mixing is great.

Very clear instructional video! Thank you Sir Josh. I just purchased the Eon One compact and tried to use it in a large ballroom directly in between 2 JBL 715s. I put it in the middle on the riser (for the wedding party) and ran a 3 pin cable daisy-chained from the left side speaker. There was a Polynesion dance troop performance and I thought it helped fill the room. It was terrific during the dance troupe performance but it became a bit distorted as I increased the overall volume for the party dance set which followed. Any suggestions to prevent that distortion in the future will be grately appreciated! Sincerely, Top 10 Portland DJ Dan

I own a Bose S1 battery powered speaker since 2019. My microphones are also battery powered. No need to drain the power from the speaker.

Nice setup. My only concern is the Bluetooth. I don't trust it for something as important as a wedding ceremony. I've heard too many horror stories of the Bluetooth not working or dropping out during a ceremony when the bride is walking down the aisle.

Can it be also used as a dj monitor ( SPL?) via cable trs or xls?

I have been doing this exact set up for the last couple seasons and it’s amazing. Downside I discovered was that the mic pre-amps in the speaker are not good enough for mics to get loud enough without distortion. This can be solved with the use of a small mixer like the Yamaha mg6. Another part is if you are using a second one, sometimes they break each other for some unknown reason. I am not sure why, but they interact with the other and one will actually shut down and become inoperable for a certain amount of time. JBL needs to fix this because it totally cost me a refund for a customer when I set it up in two spots that were less than 50 feet from eachother in line of sight but needed two separate areas of sound. I ended up having to bag the downed speaker and bring my main with a jacket for back up to those areas and my sennheiser transmitter to the JBL and direct line in to the main. Now I only bring one and use the second As back up but right now I cannot confidently recommend the two JBL setup for these.

Wouldn't it be better at the front of the room facing forward projecting forward in front of the person with the microphone to avoid any reverb?

For the hand held mic why din't you use a wireless microphone transmitter/receiver? and for the lapel, a rode?

BIG question Josh! We have the exact same cable in cart at the Sweetwater page. But it specs for AKG systems. Called Sweetwater and they confirmed it just for AKG. They said it "probably" 'could' work with the Shure BLX 88! (We have the exact same one that you have and two Compacts for Church) but they're not responsible if it's compatible or not! Any recommendations or confirmations our way would be so helpful!!! Thanks Man!!!

What is the bag you have your kit in? Looks like JBL, but I don't see a bag like that for the Eon One.

Would this work for a solo singer with backing tracks- in a small pub. Say 50-100.

Looks amazing! My only concern is with the bluetooth range.. Once you get a bunch of people in the room with phones, have you had any issues with signal drop?

For me…Bluetooth still makes me nervous especially for the most important part of the day. If I screw up that bridal entrance song-I’ll probably be judged the rest of the event.

Lo compré pensando podía enchufar 2 micrófonos y una guitarra ( ya que tiene 4 entradas), pero resulta que, no ví a nadie decir, que la entrada 3 (de línea y con Hi Z), no sirve para guitarra electroacústica, no amplifica..o sea que si usas guitarra, puedes usar una entrada mic/ línea para micrófono y la otra para guitarra sin más opciones.... Para mí las 4 entradas son ficticias..
