When a man or woman turns eighty in Obosi, a community in Idemili north local government area of Anambra state, the king, his cabinet members and all indigenes at home and abroad converge on Obosi stadium to celebrate and honour him or her. Its called ‘Ito Ogbo.’ It happens every three years. ‘Very colourful and unique celebration.
Ito Ogbo Obosi 2018 is the first episode of our new programme titled, ‘THE WAY WE ARE.’ This is a half hour documentary on festivals, carnivals and unique practices of different communities in our nation, Nigeria. It’s time for us to tell our stories, ourselves. This is a dream come true for me!
