+Welcome's House I looked for Wayne Pearl but only found Wayne Goss ! Do you know him by another name ??? And the British lady your talking about, do you know her name as well ??? Thank you ! Hugs from Texas
you're so right on about the mascara. I try new mascaras as they've come out, but for decades now I've always come back to L'oreal voluminous original.
I've used the L'Oreal Voluminous mascara for years and love it. Now that I'm in my 50s and don't have the thick lashes I used to have, it really does help me accentuate what I do have. I also have black bags under my eyes and I use the L'Oreal True Match concealer. It matches perfectly with their True Match foundations and pressed powder. I really loved your enthusiasm in this video. I just wish someone would make a video suggesting products for us older ladies. Keep up the great work!
absolutely on the Loreal carbon black....I've used it for so long because it makes your lashes look amazing. Better than most mascaras out there...even the "yes they're real" mascara.....
i regret buying the maybelline gel eyeliner. the reviews are amzing which is what gets on my nereves as it isn't even a deep black and is too sheer and buttery meaning you end up having to keep going over the line and that just messes it up. I've always noticed it takes longer to try as well!
Miss_Alma Nope. i've tried it three times now and still it is not deep black and i have to go over it to get the desired colour and by the time i acconplish that my eyeliner is completely thick and messed up :(
I buy the L'Oreal gel eyeliner in espresso, so I don't know what the black is like, but maybe give that a shot? It always seems to stay on for a good amount of time!
Gosh, Marlena, you look so very beautiful in this video! Your hair, makeup and skin is just perfect! You look so thin, here, too! Gorgeous! Yes, would love to see a new updated version of this for us drugstore girls! Thanks! G-
The Revlon foundation you recommended is so awesome! Foundation has always just sat on my skin and felt oily but this one soaks in and feels so soft. It is perfect for combo skin. Thank you!
It's best if you put your foundation before the concealer because maybe the foundation it's gonna cover a lot of things that you feel that you need to cover, so doing that you don't put soo many products as if you try to cover with the concealer and then layer the foundation, but it's a personal preference of each! I rather do it that way... But it's up to you! :)
Revlon Colorstay is the best purchase you could ever make for liquid foundation! The wear is amazing, even for oily skin (they also have a special serum for oily skin), the finish is awesome and the coverage, ah, just 10/10. Highly would recommend!!
Can't stand the Fit Me concealer! It was runny, leaked everywhere and out of the packaging, and was so sheer! If you have the money to splurge, it's a bit pricy, but the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is so much better and to die for! Or the Sephora Beauty collection actually had a nice concealer for around 12, which isn't too bad.
luckygreenstar22 Also the fit me concealer oxidizes super fast and turns really orange if you're wearing it over your whole face instead of foundation:(((
Natalie Costello You can substitute concealer for foundation. For example, sometimes I will use my MAC Prologwear concealer all over my face because it's great coverage and I love the formula. It all depends on you :)
+luckygreenstar22 agreed! i could not for the life of me find a shade that... fit me. But the Nars has a MUCH better variety of shades. for the price though, i replaced it with Nyx full coverage concealer.
i love how your videos are always so bright and i can see them some of other peoples videos they are filming in a dark place and i can not see them well so love it
Not everyone is going to like everything that is recommended; or the way she's wearing her make up (I think she's gorgeous=). So take note & do yours however YOU want but don't judge & be hateful. There's a KIND way to say everything & maybe haters need to find someone else's channel to watch!!!!!! Make up is about creativity- THERE ARE NO RULES IN MAKE-UP (as Jaclyn Hill said;) take the info w/ a grain of salt & do it however it works for you....
Yuck, I seriously hate Revlon Colorstay. It saddens me that I can't enjoy something that everyone else seems to like so much. I honestly think it's one of the worst foundations I've ever used and I've given it a couple tries and even tried the dry skin version. It's just so cakey and separates on my face and sticks to any and every dry patch. I don't even find it has good lasting power. Even some of the cheaper drugstore foundations work out better for me. I wonder what my deal is.
You said it sista! Have fun shopping! At the end of the day thats what it's all about! I live about 200 miles away from my mom & sisters but will be visiting for Easter and first thing on our list is makeup shopping! So much fun!
sara al neaimi Mascara is one product that everybody has a different taste in. If you want a good recommendation, you need to find somebody with similar lashes to yours that likes a similar look.
sara al neaimi The brush is what makes a mascara. If you don't like the way that formula looks on your lashes, but can't return it, you can try an old mascara wand that you like...of course, make sure to wash and sanitize it first. Aside from a few different types of formulation (ie waterproof, fiber) most mascaras have the same general makeup. Some may be more dry or more liquid also, but using a brush from a mascara you like is the best way to get results similar to the one that you do like.
Love the FitMe concealer- I have pretty major dark circles even w/ plenty of sleep. I have to take the the Maybelline Erase stick & put 2-3 dots on the darkest part & FitMe on top of that, blending them together works best for me....
Using blotting sheets, I recommend NYX blotting papers, then us a mattifying powder, I would recommend Maybelline dream powder, since it seems that you have the same oily/combination skin that I have.
Hey there, I use NYX's Matte Finish Setting Spray.. comes in a small black bottle, about $5 or so? Love this product.. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now & I definitely notice a difference!
TingooKids She mentions the Revlon Colorstay.. I don't know if you ever tried that foundation, I was a bit skeptical at first but then I bought it and I will continue using this foundation for the rest of my life (until my skin dries a little bit, I mean). I don't have oily skin but I do have an oily T-Zone and I get oily with all of the foundations I have tried.. with this one I don't and it lasts a long long time. If I wear it at 7 a.m. and I get home ad 7 p.m. I swear it is still there and I don't look oily at all. Moreover it is matte and stays matte but it's not a "flat" sort of matte that really makes your face look like it has no dimension.. I like to call it an "healthy" matte finish and it stays for the whole day (on me, at least). Give it a try :)
Thank you for taking the time to review all these products. I will be sure to check out these items. I especially love that you have the name of the products on the bottom left making Google searches so much easier.
It's actually very good. I own it and bought it based on all the raves and it does make your lashes full and long without clumping. All of the products she mentioned are products many youtube gurus use in their tutorials because its some of the better quality drugstore makeup. The eyeliner she mentioned is even better and darker than the mac gel liner as well x
I've totally realized that! Mascaras work so differently with everyone. I actually went and bought the mascara because of the ravings on youtube and it was horrible. It clumped, it didn't hold my curl and actually made my eyelashes stick together. I think the only thing is that the gurus should describe what kind of eyelashes they have so I know what might work for me. I saw this video after my sad ordeal with the mascara and my heart sank at how bad it worked on me but the wonders it does for everyone else :( It's so hard to find a good mascara!
To each their own. I personally hate the Carbon Black mascara but seems like a lot of makeup artists on RU-vid love it. I don't think it's black enough. It looks like a charcoal gray on me. Maybe it's because my lashes are naturally black. My favorite drugstore mascara is Cover Girl LashBlast.
The They're Real mascara was a total dud for me. But I spoke with someone at Sephora about the formula and as to why none of the mascaras were working on me. The They're Real mascara is water resistant, not waterproof. My lashes are so horribly stubborn, water resistant mascara isn't dry enough to hold them up, neither is normal mascara like this l'oreal one.Would def. try if there existed a waterproof formula, but I haven't seen any yet.
I love so many of the products you mentioned. I bought 3 of those loreal eye shadows last week and that's all ive been wearing. Love NYX lip gloss by far my favorite ever.
Love your video. Great make up but most of your companies by Urban Decay test on animals or do third party testing. For me, I don't support that. You might want to think about that .
I did a 'drug' store shop based on your recommendations and I had a lot of fun. I wasn't overwhelmed and I got a lot of complements this morning..with my new fresh make up. Thanks again!!
I love the NYX Slide On waterproof eye pencil. Works just as well as Urban Decay's 24/7 pencil or Make Up For ever's Aqua Eyes and less than half the price at $8.
Great video! That Loreal infallible in Emerald is my fave too. You are so sweet & classy, I just love to watch you. And, ordered my first Makeup Geek shadow, it's on it's way! (Cocoa Bear). I can't wait! Thank you for everything you do! Much love, Kerry from SC
Omgawsh I love you! Your voice is so nice that I could listen to it all day! Oh and I love how you mention different skin colours too because usually some makeup artists just say "for pale skin" and yada yada
This was helpful to me because I worked in a department store cosmetic setting for many years. Now that I am retired I would like to try some cheaper products than the ones I used to sell. You have helped me sort out the best ones. Thanks!
Yes!! I'm a drugstore makeup junkie! My absolute favorite lipstick brand hands down, is Revlon. I have to try that Milani blush if it's not discontinued. Thanks for sharing
Thank you soo much! I just bought all the products for under $100! This is a huge safe for me since I live in Australia. Love all your videos! Really helps out a lot! Thanks again!
That gel liner is AMAZING! I have really oily skin, and it gets pretty bad on my eyelids. That liner will NOT budge! It stays in place all day. Also it's got a nice matte finish and the conatiner will lasts for SO long.
