I’m so glad that you mentioned honey. I use a honey mask in winter. Just pure local honey on the skin, gentle emulsifying with warm water to wash off and then a quick wipe with a soft baby facecloth. I then moisturise with a rich face cream. It’s bliss when I’ve been out in the cold and my skin is cranky.
That sounds amazing! Honey is so underrated and overlooked in skincare. There are some Korean skincare products that feature honey but I'm yet to try them.
My favourite lip balm (no SPF) is The Jojoba Company lip balm. It’s Australian and cruelty-free. It’s in a little metal tin. I put a fair amount on at night and they are soft in the morning.
Admittedly I haven't used any of these ones before... I have REALLY dry skin/lips and find even "moisturising" lipsticks (I'm looking at you L'Oreal Color Riche and Revlon Lip Butter) dry my lips out and I have to use a balm as well. I know it's not a drug store item and it's little pricey but I find the BEST moisturising lip balm/lip colour (has SPF too) is the FRESH Sugar Tinted Lip Treatment Sunscreen SPF 15. I pretty much only use the Sugar on my lips now. Poor Razia with her wool/lanolin reaction! I had a bad reaction to the SunScense sunscreen so I'm not keep to use their lip balms. The Laniege mask is nice and lux but I don't think it really does a lot.
My favourite lip balm is by Dermal Therapy. I had really bad cracked lips with some eczema. The first time I bought this I didnt think much of it, it just looked very affordable. Within 2 days my lips were back to normal. They also do a lot of experiments with the lip balm as well as their other products and provide the outcomes on the packages and website
Oh yes dermal therapy are a fave for so many! They've got a few diff options but the ones I saw had lanolin lol so I couldn't give them a go unfortunately. Thats so interesting! I'll have to check out the website :)
I have noticed like "age spots" on my lips. Is there anything you can recommend to decrease the look of this? I am so bad, i have just started implemented sunscreen into my routine
Paula’s Choice lip and body treatment balm is my favourite. I use it every evening before going to bed and my lips are super soft in the morning. Haven’t had chapped lips for years 😊
Recently I found the Blistex Lip Infusions hydrating balm - it's only SPF 15 but it has hylauronic acid! Feels really nice although the fragrance is quite strong
Do you like any of the pawpaw ointment I like the pawpaw + macadamia nut oil one it's at the check out at ALDI I like that it is cheap and the macadamia nut oil gives a great shine I mostly use this in doors and use an SPF underneath
I've tried the Sun Sense one, Razia. I enjoyed it til the formula got 'clumpy' and difficult to apply evenly when the temperature dropped last winter. It might be more of a summer-friendly formula. Who knows - maybe they've reformulated since then, though ... ? I keep repurchasing Nivea Lip Care Hydro Care SPF 15 these days ($3.49 at Chemist Warehouse at the moment).
I’ve been using the QV one but I feel like it dries up on my lips so quickly. I have super dry lips. I will try Vaseline over it! What are your thoughts in Lucas paw paw ointment for lips?
@@raziamoe Update: Vaseline made ALL the difference! It seals in my PawPaw ointment, and it worked well over the QV SPF lippy. Thank you for helping me put two and two together!
I agree I do not like exfoliating, i used to pick my flaky lips then learnt that only made it worse, now I only use vaseline lip therapy at night and with sunsense or blistex during the day
I have just started using blistex lip balm and has varying spf of 15,30 and 50 and they are just wow. And you gotta try innisfree sleeping lip mask. It is just wow wow wow worked as a wonder for me.
Ive used both the mecca spf lip balm and the Go To pinky nudey lipbalm, which both kind of put me off of spf lip balms: mecca's didnt taste nice and go to's was wierdly grainy. Thank you so much for the recommendations!
Ohh good to know! I did receive the go to one but gave to my sister since it had lanolin. I wonder if she found it grainy as well. Thanks for watching!
I have used Maybelline SPF lip balm works okay but I will have to reapply it very often. I think it's my lips I always have to reapply lip balms even vaseline.
Thanks for making the vid razia! ☺️ and also thanks for the great recommendations. Whoever suggested it to you on insta seems pretty cool 😎 I have such sensitive lips so I always get scared to try new lip balms. But after watching your videos I'm always like yes I need all of them 🤑
I would really like to try this but I don't know if I would have to pay shipping duties to my courier, since I live in Italy and I would have to get it shipped from the Uk No signs of this in Italy just yet :(
I wanted to love the LRP lip balm but it irritated my lips 😭 I had to take it off after 15 mins. I've never had a lip balm irritate my lips before and I was really surprised that the LRP one did 😮
@@raziamoe yeah, I'm wondering if it's the panthenol or percentage of it cos I also bought the cicaplast baume B5 to help with skin barrier repair on my face and it just irritated my face even more 😞 so maybe the skin on my face and lips is sensitive to panthenol 🤷 I ended up using the cicaplast baume B5 as an over night hand cream and it was totally fine on my hands
