Sadly I did forgot about that episode really when I made that comment. It's honestly my only favorite episode with actual decent writing and character development. I just see it as a older sibling just sharing what he knows or believes to his younger sibling. Since Lamda is a clone of Saya.
Shadic Namikaze It's so wonderful to see an actor so immersed in his part. You can tell he very much enjoyed it. But, it still didn't compensate for the rest.
"THESE MATHEMATICAL PARADOXES ARE SO FAR OFF THEIR OWN ASS, YOU'LL SPEND THE REST OF ETERNITY TRYING TO SOLVE THEM!... oh, AND DON'T FORGET TO SHOW YOUR WORK!" My math teachers in a nutshell.
@@HYDEinallcaps Terumi: Okay WHAT THE FUCK!? Minamimoto: SOHCAHTOA FAM!! Also... It's X2 DIE! Terumi: ahh fuck. shoulda known not to pick the guy who speaks in mathematical puns...Welp you win some you lose some!!!
For a second I thought that this was some sort of abridged series dialogue. But no. Terumi's just that much of a sarcastic troll. And we all love him for it.
maths can hurt u. explanation: let's say u get a huge pile of maths homework but it's the last day of holiday and u still have 95% left to do and the time is 11:59 pm. it puts so much stress on ur brain that it damages it and it could lead to suicide if ur teacher is really strict on homework and makes ur life hell.
“These mathematical paradoxes are so far off their own ass you’ll spend the rest of eternity trying to solve them, and don’t forget to show your work!” Pfft ahahahahahhaha
I swear, Doug Erholtz must have studied Mark Hamill's performance as The Joker in preparation for his role as Terumi. The two sound very much alike...that's not a bad thing, though, since Terumi seems to have been 75%-90% inspired by The Joker.
This is a pre-optimized screen time Deadpool performance, something closer to when we first got to play DP in Marvel Heroes. Not the rapid succession of gut punches like the movie, but still a fun performance. The VA definately put some Hammil work into his laugh. Would definately watch more from this character.
“Would it kill you guys to get a potted plant or something?” Excellent establishment of the troll. Also, “I just broke its ass with the power of mathematics.” At least the VA was giving his all for this anime, too bad most of the rest wasn’t up to snuff.
1:55 to 2:02 Terumi:Remember that Takamagahara thing in the jig?I JUST BROKE IT'S ASS WITH THE POWER OF MATHEMATICS! Everyone:jezuz christ didn't see that one coming
A sad reminder that this series was the last hurrah for the based English cast before CF deleted the dub. The only hope now is for ArcSys to break the cycle and come out with dub DLC in the same way they're supporting Revelator, through updates instead of re-releases.
BlazBlue can be complicated and the anime doesn't exactly do a good job explaining things, so I'll elaborate; When Ragna beat Hazama, he didn't kill him because the life-link he had with Noel would just revive him. Relius came and "killed" him, giving him enough time to wait to strike. When Ragna fought Noel/Mu-13, Ragna did the impossible and managed to basically beat her, with this being the only timeline where he succeeds. In that literal fraction of a second, when Takamagahara was distracted, Terumi slipped in and caused the scene in the video. He was able to remain in the world because the Emperator/Saya/Izanami was Observing him, grounding his existence to the world.
Blazblue is a weird series for me. It's story is so god damn convoluted and all over the place and most of the characters seem like they should be in separate series but the characters are all so well designed and the interactions whether funny or serious are gold. The gameplay is also really fun and balanced. Yeah this series is a tough one for me.
I conflicted about Alter Memory. Its more Blazblue content, and it has a lot of really subtle things it does well. Like the remixes of the songs and scenes like these. However yeah, its has a lot of flaws. I do want another season or more. I guess.
Miss 1 episode of this anime and you too will enjoy the cursed disease known as scrambled brain, wherein events of that missed episode will be required to know about the following episodes, plus you will have a sore brain, plus due to this, many people's brains were sorely hurt trying to understand it, is nick from screwattack, who after tested his research skill on cap America, got dropped into the abyss whilst researching this anime for death battle, which got aired on repeat due to a copyright strike by a fussy artist, thus drilling into his mind the complexities of blaze blue
What's great about this was the ADR for this as I watched the subbed just to see the difference and the idea of math was barely carried on from there. It was great to see the evilest guy used mathematics the bane of our existence.
I think of this anime as my friends seem to think about Harry Potter (My family thought it was witchcraft, and I wasn't allowed to read it). If you've played the games, and have at least a general understanding of everything, it's pretty damn good. Just fanservice, but the plot really misses a lot, doesn't seem all that great, and the characters don't reasonably develop, unlike in the game's plot. But I love the voice acting of the english dub, and the fight scenes are great.
this just makes me want them to try again, but with effort and budget and proper pacing. like christ, I know CT&CS take place over the course of two days, but those days repeat enough to where something interesting could have been done. im not saying we needed all routs covered, just the ones of the key players.
As a guy who watches bleach in dub, I can comfortably say that yuki terumi is what happens if gin ichimaru decides to go to clown school and graduate with a major in madness, a minor in evil laughter, and have all of that knowledge taught to him by the joker himself, and yes I'm referring to THE clown prince of crimes of the DC Universe himself. Honestly, when I first heard terumi's voice change from calm to manic, I thought that the dude changed his voice actors because I never heard gin talk like the joker before, let alone a psychopath.
