Imo best new player mount you never see people using is the deathclaw from achievement tokens. It's a unique riding style, there are no "clones" or other similar mounts, and you can get it way earlier and with pretty much 0 effort other than just playing the game

for events to wait for: Starlight Celebration in december 2022 earns you a reindeer mount. no red nose attached, but still pretty :D

He forgot about the other crossover event with Monster Hunter… That has a mount. A very cool mount!

For all of you who don't know what 12,000 Achievement points means : This man has done over 1/2 of all the possible things available in a game that's had huge data patches and expansions for over 10 years. He is what is called a "LIFER" and I bet he even has the Lifer titles.(they are named achievements for running thousands of dungeons and extremes). For people who don't know also: There are between 2 and 3 million daily players of FFXIV.. It has a turnover rate of over 60% daily, which means that of the 28 million active characters, at least 10-12 million unique accounts log in at least once a week. There are 10 data centers.. That roughly equates to 1 million to 1.5 million players per data center who play at least once a week. He's in the top 2,000 of that in lifetime achievement points, and probably in the top 1000 in mounts too. I've been playing since 2018 January, and 2020 Summer continuously, and I only have 10,100 pts myself, and 135 mounts. That puts me top 2000 of 1.5 mill on my data center on each. And I play HARD when I get time. So Nasty Namazu, I would ask you two things 1. What year did you start playing FFXIV (include dates when you got serious). 2. Just how many things (areas of content) did you think you've done to get there? If you can't figure it out, just list your favorites.

None of them are better than the Chocobo, imo. You can change its color and add barding to change its look.
