TL;DW - I rode the board in a mainly flat area on a full battery. I weigh 185lbs without gear, and managed to hit a top speed of 30.4mph (they claim 29mph). This is a tie for the fastest electric skateboard I have ever ridden. As for range, I got 10.1 miles before it completely died. Not the 16 miles that they claim, but that number is for conservative riding. Overall, I was really impressed with my initial ride on this one. I liked their original exway x1, and it's nice to know that everything I enjoyed about that one is still here and more. The carve is great, the urethane feels better than most hubs, and is packed with features. I particularly like the fact that you can customize so much about the ride making it your own. I wish the brakes were just a touch stronger (like 5%), but honestly for most people are fine. So far so good! I can’t wait to try it out with their RIOT kit!
Yo Ronnie love your content and your positive attitude about everything! Just pre ordered the meepo classic v2 and was wondering what your thoughts are on it. Thanks a ton! Walker S.
I actually bought the Exway X1 pro based on your other video, and it has been my favorite purchase ever. I got an Indiegogo deal for $900 and they even threw in the quick charger, which really delivers. I can confirm that the speed and tests results that you did are accurate and reproducible. Thank you for making these videos, they really helped me to find what I think is the best board on the market
@@RonnieSarmiento Hey! Thanks for replying! I had a question that you can hopefully help me out with. In your video on the first Exway you included a song at 04:55 that I really liked but I couldn't find the name for it. Could you help me out?
@@elijahcarroll2620 I don't remember having difficulty buying it, that being said it was on the Indiegogo website, not on Exway's website. I don't know if I can help you with your current problem, I suggest you email or call the company and hopefully they will get you sorted
Got mine in Germany 2 weeks ago, bought the translucent wheels and im loving it! So sad you are not allowed by law to ride it 🤨. For now it seems to be stealthy as it should. It is my first Board for 10 years now, but i dont regret. Cant wait for vacation to ride at nice spots! Great channel Ronnie! Next buy: insta360! Love your footages!
Hello, got the Exway X1 Pro with the Riot belt. Real disappointed user :/ Want to inform those looking to buy: You won't get the range you expect, customer service will be fast to answer for your purchase but days will pass before you get any help resolving any issues. You can't get a refund if you try your board and you have an issue, that will be on you. The board is tested with a person weighing 75 kg on flat surface (most likely a running track) as gear 2 (Max 20 km/h). Nowhere does the company inform about this when purchasing. My board goes 14-15 km on Gear 2, which is not even close to 25 km. I know I am ranting, but for all means I just want you all to have all the facts. Otherwise the board is fun as h3ll! Like snowboarding on asphalt with the given fear of any pothole or stone that will come your way! I'm just getting a backhanded treatment from Exway
Y'know, when someone asks about a sub $1000 board, I really dont think that suggesting a board thats $999 helps, like yeah its technically sub 1000 but only by 1, not like that single dollar is someone's barrier of entry
Mine just turned to shit a few days after the Guarantee went off. I contacted them per Mail asking for help, for example how I can fix it or something but didn't got any response. Even on WhatsApp I literally just got blocked by them. And I have to mention here that the board just suddenly turned of in the middle of a ride (downhill) and I couldn't use the breaks anymore. Luckily I didn't need to go to hospital. You can only wrote positive Customer Reviews on their Website. If you don't believe me go a head and try it yourself. share this comment if you can so people get the idea that the Customer Support from Exway goes only as long as you are a potential customer!
So we live in Seattle which, of course is hilly. These skateboards are rated for 30% grades. How are they going down steep hills? Do you just put it in a lower speed mode to use the motor to slow you down?
Wow that is amazing and how the heck you get so much money? Ik you don't give away boards like nothing but please may I have a electric skateboard I don't have any all your choice
I got one and I live at the hills, u can easily go up 18% hills at my local area at about 15-19km/h, depending on the length. Anything longer I suggest u try Riot ;)
Hey Ronnie I been Searching for long time to get a decent board for around $1000 less . Witch you recommend ? I kind between the flex and pro with RIOT . And do you know if the pro x1 is possible use the wheels all terrain ? And thx for all your videos!!!
u can use the donut cloud wheels on the x1 pro but not at wheels. in his riot review he said he prefers the x1pro without the riot pack. you will not be disappointed i have more than 3hundred miles on my board. either way you will like this board than you will want exways off road board atlas
Well I am so disappointed to say that my son’s Exway X1 Pro stopped working after 3 hours and is dead. Motor doesn’t turn on, charge or pair with the remote. After 3 weeks, nothing out of Exway. They are now out of stock until August. Summer is passing, so we are going to ask for our money back and go with the Skatebolt Breeze 2. Hoping that since Skatebolt has a presence in the US, we will get it quickly and they will be more responsive to support issues. Anyone else have this problem? Is it that easy to burn out a motor going up and down hills?
@@RonnieSarmiento there are so many things that makes the onewheel so great. First is the fact that it can go on trails. Next they are very manuverable. It is a great all around experience. I got one on Saturday and am loving it!! I have gone about 30 miles and it is absolutely great!! I saw your video on the onewheel and that's what made me want one
The water resistance of the Exway is a big selling point for me. Yes, I cant surf with one (yet) however it should survive the time it takes to get off the road when it starts raining as well as deal with water on the road being kicked up (after rain)
Aloha Ronster dude, that board is sick looking and fast! Then you start ripping an epic trick session like it's a regular longboard? Pure phatness dude ur killing it with the awesome vids!
6:30 Ronnie, TRUE... That smooth smooth pavement, dang! I live up in Crystal City so I usually recognize the places you're skating, but this video I was like HOLD UP, where is THIS?? Va.B.... sad face womp womp LOL
Kool board. But I believe g3 plus is a little better on mileage. With similar top speed. Well price is just about the same as well. But. The X1 just looks way more like a NONE electric board. Great video review Sir Pinoy.
I entered into the world of e-skate with the X1 pro. I think I made the right decision. I am about 150km in. Happy to say the board fends off the odd puddle and is putting up with road salt quite well. I have taken to rinsing off the salt by putting it in my bathtub, setting the cruise control to 19km/hr, and carefully rinsing with cold water. I then pat dry around the hub motors and charge port with paper towel. Leave it in cruise mode with the wheels spinning for about 5 minutes to dry and she’s good to go. Can’t wait for the weather to dry up around here to start regularly commuting to work on it. B
I really can not decide between the flex and the X1 pro. The x1 pro has a sick design that is 5 years ahead compared to the others... I really value range performance so I don't know if the Flex would be better...
I've been looking into different board since will be purchasing one in a few days. Primarily for getting to the local transit center to catch but 5 days a week then return trip in the evening. Distance is 5.4 miles with only mild short hills. What would you recommend? I'm thinking ownboard bamboo at with cloud wheels. Condition of the roads are fair with recreational paths thought the city. Thanks for any input you might have.
Dude... 3 mins in the video and the way youre selling this board... IM SO FREAKIN SOLD, like, shut up and take my money hahaha do hoped that they ship to either the Philippines or Riyadh tho T~T
Hey man would you recommend it as a first board? I already ride classic longboard a bit and I really love the design and the fact that it looks like a normal skateboard. I'm very concerned with the stiffness of the dock, especially when compared to other less expensive esk8. I'm basically considering between this one and the backfire galaxy which also seems a pretty good deal for the lower cost. Thanks!
@@RonnieSarmiento not sure, but I did notice the mean speed you were hitting on the straight was lower on the turbo mode which is odd, 1 test isnt conclusive tho
amazing video! I am always wondering, is it possible to push the board when the battery dies, and how does it feel? I would like to suggest this little info to put in all next videos, cause it would help me a lot! thanx!
I do like the looks and stats on the exway. Seems to be a very good board. Still, I have to ask Ronnie. Please dont do any videos between now and christmas as this window shopping is getting painful lol. J/K bro. Catcha next vid. Stay Stoked!
Edit( notification squad but still 2 hours late to watch cuz I was busy😂) I was split between this and the Ride1up Slopestyle, I needed up placing my order or the ride1up and im so regretting it but it's almost $500 cheaper, you think the Ride1up is a good all around board ? I have not seen anybody show what speed it goes when in lower batteries to see battery sag on it.
@@RonnieSarmiento oh yeah, you have tried the ride1up carbon fiber though, would u recommend that one? Its technically same board but different deck, was there a lot of battery sag on it or anything else ? Thanks for reply 👌🏼and I'm so impressed on the tricks you do on E-boards. Above everyone else haha
I’ve loved mine so far I just wanna find the best way to get better shock absorption are there skate shoes that are better at reducing fatigue like I haven’t worn dc shoes in years but are they thicker soled shoes and what are any recommendations you would have
Hi Ronnie, definitely agree with "gg e" on this one and would happily give you a little feedback on the video: This video (like basically all your video) screams high production value (camera work/angles, editing, transitions and overall structure) - you just know how to balance very qualified information with great entertainment (love the tricks/ride sessions). Seems like you really think about putting out videos that are above all else user friendly and fun. You blend in the need to know essentials in a structured way without rambling on. Combining that with your very positive energetic, dare I say stoked being, that just oozes you doing this out of pure passion. In this video especially you combine all these things in a very effective way. So yeah, keep being the stoked eskate-reviewer you are :)
