Coming back to this video after a year and a half with my flex. I love the thing so much. I have ridden it over 500 miles to and from classes at my university. I ended up buying cloud wheels for it which improved my experience even further. This video sold me on this board and it lived up to all of the hype. Great product for a great price.

Would love if you would do a hub vs belt drive in acceleration, braking, speed, and battery consumption. Love the videos, your awesome and keep it up!!

Here is some of my own data on Exway Flex with riot belt drive assembly, 120mm cloud wheels on it. I weigh 216 lbs with gear on. I got 11.2 miles today, That’s only 56% of the advertised range. I had remote set on 3rd gear the whole way(I have turbo turned off in Exway app). This was a leisurely, carvy ride. Average speed was 15.4mph, top speed 26.4mph. I have hit 30mph on flat road numerous times on previous rides. If I go full throttle with or without turbo turned on, I only get about 8 miles of range, which is only 40% of advertised range. Speed and range recorded with Strava app and Speedmeter app.

I just got one because of your review. I watch other channels and the reason I went with your decision is you know how to shred a board. It's my first eBoard I'm 62 years young😎💪

I got 19 miles today on my exway flex! The bike path was relatively flat with some short but big inclines along the way. Was crusing on gear 4, going about 14-15mph (25kph) on average. Started at 100%, ended at 5% the board was still moving but not much faster than 5-8 mph. I weigh 150lbs, and there was a lot of wind drag in addition

Backfire G3 deck vs Exway Flex deck ????

Was a good watch 100%, your right about the battery life. Need that g3 plus pack strapped to the bottom of this and even if they charged more 100% people would pay. One can dream.

I appreciate your insight. You don't suck like virtually everyone else doing the same thing. Small video request: I'm a Stealth owner. For obvious reasons I'm looking to leave Boosted. I'd love to know how all the Exway boards compare. Others have done this, but like I said they pretty much all suck. You're far more engaging.

I'm a middle aged Aussie bloke that only dabbled in skate boarding when I was younger and wanted to get into esk8ing because both my daughters ride analogue longboards XD and wanted to join their hobby...but faster.

Nice video. The clip of the end of your range test is just a black screen. Also, seems like the Meepo V3 is a close alternative. Especially for sub $500. It’s hub motor and not quite as flexy, but has a much higher top speed and much longer battery range.

The unibody design was what captured my attention, and also my source of apprehension. I had concerns with the internals if they were to flex, cost of upgrading parts, battery limitations, longevity. This seems more modular and easier to replace/mod parts.

Then I started seeing reviews of the Flex, and so am real near ordering in the next 2 days, whoop whooop : ) I had a go on a Meepo short board and an Evolve Longboard a few weeks ago, e boards are so much fun..!! I just want to go cruisey stylee, and carve, whilst getting my happy skate feet back in the groove : ) A couple of people mentioned the Zealot and the Wowgo3 , but I am being pulled towards the Flex. I was a little concenred about the shape of th board with the concave and flare up's on the front and back. But as I am around 70kg and 5ft11" , I am hoping for my weight and size, it will be just right. Plus it's good to hear about the sound and how you feel the Riot is the way to go, I was thinking originally about the hubs, although I don't know a lot about them. Although I really like the idea of having ral skate wheels. Think you review is another great affirmation, of a great starter, and fun board that I can grow with. Hi Ronnie* , I love this review... it's the second time I have watched it, the first time was pre deciding and ordering my Flex, and now I have watched again since my Exway Flex arrived last week.. I am sooooo loving it, it's soooo much fun!! 😀 As it's my first skateboard in over 30 years.. haha.. I wam going to be taking it fairly crusisey and carvey.. man you got some skiiills!!! As where I am in the UK, the pathways by the coast aren't all smooth, I am hoping some sweet new next generation 105 i wonder cloud wheels will help smooooth those vibrations, for an even sweet ride.. I am so loving it, it's like surfing on land 😀 I am a little confused about the cloud wheels, and my knoweldge is pretty basic. I have seen some videos showing people changing the pulley and belt for the new wheels, and some just changing the pulley and wheels .. errhh.. ?? what would you recommend, being such a tip top up to date, skating inspiration.. do you know the cloud wheel knowledge my friend, I would be super gratefuls for some tip tips, guidance on this, if you have any.. as even the thought of taking the wheels of is like, errh.. better get this right 🤣 Big Thanks Ronnie* , keep shining it awesome! 😀

Manufacturers should state the riding conditions of the range quoted. Fixed Weight and aggressive riding vs economy mode riding

I mean the trucks are great and all but as soon as you said I don't feel a difference I was like what's the point then, and just knowing they're better doesn't cut it for me.

Solid review as always Ronnie, really appreciate your work! Exway do amazing things, so might sell my X1 to get a Flex in the near future. About water resistance, do you know whether the Flex is just resistant as the X1 and X1 Pro? I know it also has IP55 rating, but still battery is not inside the board, so thought that might make it less water proofed??

I’m looking at buying my first eskate and can’t decide between the flex and x1 pro. I have only a little skating experience (enough to be relatively comfortable on a standard skateboard) but I’m not sure if I’d be better off with a flexi deck or stiff deck. I love the sleek look of the x1 pro but not sure if the flexible deck would be better for a casual/inexperienced rider. Thoughts?

Hello, since a few days i get a BMS error. Today again only this time much longer and the board had only zero percent but actualy nineteen. I have already unistalled the ap… but Nothing helped can you help me? At this time i cant drive 10 meters because when i stand of the Board and press start the remote vbration direct and the Board have zero In idle mode this is displayed. So I think it is because of an overvoltage which is not possible. First I could continue to ride but now it is not possible anymore because it is permanent and the board has 0 percent but is actually full. Cam you help me thanks

The range stated is usually the range of mode 2 & not the top one. Lower speed & acceleration would still give you a good ride while maximizing the range.

This would be my first eboard but what would you recommend between this and the X1 pro? The exway x1 pro is out of stock for shipping by Air so I'm wondering if it would be better to wait on it, order it for shipping by Sea or just order the Flex which is in stock for fast shipping. When you did the distance check, were u using the skateboard at fulls speeds? My boosted stealth probably only got 5-6 miles when in the fastest mode so I’m looking for a better battery life alternative

I commonly see people say eboards are even easier to ride, and they have brakes which is also helpful for safety. What do you think? And what board in the $500 range would you recommend the most? Only thing i hate is the range (way to short range in my opinion) I am really keen on the verreal RS because of the double King pin and way larger battery. But I am still confused what to choose between these because the exway Flex is a really nice board. Are there anyway you can help me decide what to choose 😅 I really dont know
