I took this deal, I'm now 600 quid lighter, but up one fantastic guitar and a durple. I got the turquoise 24-08 and love it so far. Andertons are a pleasure to buy from, I've had to speak to you guys twice and its been a great experience both times. I live up north but definitely want to visit your shop if I'm ever near Guildford.
Lee I really can tell that you're embracing space within your solos and it's really starting to make you sound unique and you're starting to get your own little Style it doesn't sound so much like Blues Licks it sounds like emotion well done bro
@@mobeus84 look up what it means lol. A backhanded compliment… Ur insulting him in the past to compliment him in the present. You’re basically saying he wasn’t shit before and noodled too much lol. Like you’re god looking down upon him 😂. But then throwing on a compliment. An insult and compliment rolled into one is a “backhanded compliment”. It’s super douchey and pretentious. Also, FYI: Ik judge, I have my own sound too.
I sold some stuff last week at GC and they told me that a lot of the stores in the area aren’t taking in used gear or trade in’s. They stocked with so much inventory. The companies I feel like might over correct their production schedules and we’ll see long wait times in the future for certain models. Definitely buy what you can now.
I think that will be a good thing, in the long-term. The guitar companies, by limiting the amounts of guitars they make, will arguably, provide the customers with arguably, a much better product, because that will mean the inspection and QC will be much longer, thus making the guitars more stable and functional. That's how I see it, anyway.
@@elefsidi yeah I agree, I just hope the manufacturers start to actually put 110% into their high end models instead of charging an arm and a leg only to be slightly different from their entry level models.
My wife and I use to live in Annapolis MD USA we Retired early and after a few years we moved to the Delmarva Eastern Shore... So we use to live near PRS .. Cheers 🍻 🥃🥃 🎸 🎵🎶🎶🎶
There are three used, like new SE silver sky guitars across the street at GC and about 40 used MIM strats or tribute LP's. They'll sit on the shelf til the prices drop to ~400 which is what they should cost new anyway.
Have you ever played one? I got mine through today from them and it's fantastic. You can Yank the Trem around as hard and as fast as you want and it doesn't go out of tune. Infact getting it out the box it didn't even need tuning! I've got a US Standard Strat and this PRS John Mayer SE Silver Sky Maple in Nylon Blue I have brought blows it away in everyway. I can assure you. I'll be gigging with this from now on. 👍
Got my PRS John Mayer SE Silver Sky Maple in Nylon Blue through today from yourselves and it's blown me away! It plays itself, sounds amazing and you can yank the trem bar around as hard and as fast as you want and it hasn't gone our of tune once. I prefer this to the US Standard Strat I've got and in my opinion it sounds a great deal clearer tone wise. It really is a beautiful guitar and a pleasure to play. I also brought a Chapman guitar from you a few wks back and that again doesn't go out of tune and sounds awesome when play ACDC, Black Sabath tunes or anything within Rock and Heavy Metal. So thanks again for the heads up.👍
The used market is flooded here across the pond. Surely deals to be had. As a side note I wound up getting my Fender Princeton ToneMaster. It’ll be much friendlier for apartment use ❤ Best wishes guys!!
Why have so many people missed the part where PRS set the offer. All the comments like “they must be overstocked”, makes me wonder if they sit a bit close to their amp.
When did you have a SE Silver Sky for sale for £979? I believe it was on 1st of Never, so why are you listing that as the original price? Ask yourself the same question about every product in this sale.
Eric Johnson may be going back to tube amps and pedals, but I tell ya, Quad Cortex and Line 6 arent the ones having to cut their prices nearly in half and do giveaways! 😉
PRS should dip their toes back into the solid state amp business like they did in the 90’s. They don’t have to stop making tube amps, but it could potentially be a moneymaking venture with people dropping tubes in favor of modelers. They could put in a built in option for IRs and see how they sell. I’m sure they could make a decent sounding one.
Fantastic sounds and , unlike certain dealers, you're making it very clear its a deal that Paul is offering instead of claiming it's down to you! On another note, when are you reviewing the Oriverb?
That puts them at the price point they should have started at. The SE models always seem to end up on sale. I assume they don't sell well at the inflated price they start out at.
Thanks for making the video. My husband was going to buy the amp and called your shop on Saturday to ask if it would work in Europe, the person said only the UK, he was very disappointed. After seeing the video he has now ordered it and is very excited.
the problem to buy at anderton's outside UK is not to buy, it's to send it back if you have an issue. You lose the VAT (I bought a guitar from another UK dealer, had an issue, sent it back, never been able to get te VAT back and i spent hours on the phone)
@@jackflynn-oakley1937 That’s not the real RRP surely? I’d say they push it up to £979 to make it look like an insane saving. I have never seen any of the SE line go for that apart from some of the quilted top custom 24-08
They don't - they're not real prices, the originals are fake. All these guitars sell for hundreds of pounds less than the "original" price at every other retailer. Shoddy sales technique.
Hello Gens, thank you for Epic Deal !!! PRS Sonzera 20 1x12" Valve Amp Combo is on the way + free PRS pedal. Looking forword to plug S2 mccarty 594 thinline and S2 Singlecut. I cannot wait.
Hey USA viewers! Unfortunately I was just told that we can't get the free pedal with this deal. Plus it cost me over $200 more than the UK customer. So I cancelled my order. What a shame.
Yeah, Andertons do this kind of thing a lot with their sales. They will apply a ‘small’ discount and then suggest that the RRP is much higher than it actually is.
@@joshball8674 every bit store does it. The RRP is actually correct, but it never is used because nobody buys 1 or 2 units, they buy dozens so they get it way cheaper and can afford to sell them for those prices.
I went to buy a PRS SE Silver Sky, having a 408 and loving PRS. I left with a Player Strat. Silver Sky just lacked brightness of a strat - sounded muddy, instantly noticable!
good choice....i love prs and they are great and great to mod....but a mim Strat is just best money can buy......i bought mine 15 years ago....cost 550.- Euros....not bad.
Feels like PRS has had a lot of trouble reading the demand as they expanded their focus away from strictly high-end guitars. SE's, amps and pedals all seem to have had various sales after the initial launch hype has faded.
Exactly what I waited for. The pedals are fabulous. Absolutely LOVE the Horsemeat, and Im picking up a Mary Cries next week for half price. I already have an Archon, and I would never get rid of it! If I had the room for a Sonzera, I would hunt down one of those too!
Shame the shipping to Australia just ruins the possibility of buying from you guys love your channel love your work, love to buy from you but shipping is half the price of the amp 😟 😢
Last weekend was visiting my local guitar shop and got to play an SE DGT and an SE Silver Sky. The DGT has a very nice neck and it played very nice. The Sylver Sky though was disappointing. A Fender Player' Strats playability is better, sounds better and overall quality is the same.
Sorry can't agree. Just got mine Sylver Sky through today and it blows my US Standard away. Perhaps you had a bad one or perhaps I've landed with an exceptional one but in my opinion I won't be gigging with my US Srat any more! 👍
In the US, I'd be buying PRSs left and right if the value of our dollar hadn't crashed these last 4 years. The cost of everything has doubled or tripled but wages have stayed the same. I'm paycheck to paycheck now.
When the amps start tonbreak up, they sound like they are farting at you. Thats quite something, ive never heard that in an amp before. Wonder what fartwood Paul is using for these?
Every guitar shop i visit is flooded with PRS guitars and i can’t even get a trade deal with my PRS if i wanted to… there is not as much demand for them as PRS and guitar stores think.
Fender and Gibsons too. New models are coming out all the time so no different than a car dealership, they're always needing to make room for new inventory.
I wish we could have heard the guitars plugged straight into the amp . It seems misleading to go through effects pedals . I had better go to a guitar store and see for myself.
NO because I was told by Andertons that anyone outside of the EU/UK aren't even eligible for the FREE PEDAL. Plus with added taxws and fees my order came to almost $800. NO DEAL for US
New model guitars are coming out all the time so no different than a car dealership, they're always needing to make room for new inventory. I think PRS has some new products coming' down the pike...
Paul just use the strat headstock shape and pay fender the $1 a piece to use it lol. I always want to get a silver sky but then my eye is drawn directly to the hideously shaped headstock and it looks like a strat became an amputee
The guitar market is crashing after the pandemic boom. The deals on marketplace for barely used gear are amazing. Hell even reverb has deals now. Bought a brand new fender American vintage ii 57 Strat for 1500 bucks 3 months ago. Got a new sg special in black for 1099 around the same time. It’s literally raining deals out there. Problem is if you don’t like it you got to return cuz resale obviously sucks.
Forgetable?? Maybe to some folks with short attention spans. They are high quality pedals, and sound fantastic in person. The available videos just don’t do them justice. I will never sell mine.
