Watch out for my range test where the e-Niro lasts longer than the Tesla Model 3 Long Range!
@PinballGeorgio
@PinballGeorgio 2 года назад
I drove already 700KM with a full charge in mostly city usage with regeneration level 3 and using the flap to come to a complete stop. After 2500KM with the Kia e Niro, the average consumption is 12KW/100Km. Definitely the most economic EV!

This isn't actually the 2022 model. The 2022 model has the new Kia logo.. And that's all what changed from the 2021 model :)

I have the 4+ and absolutely love it. It’s still to be beat in my opinion, superb range, good size, nice comfortable drive, full of kit and it comes with a 7 year warranty.
@TechInTheCar

Totally agree and I am guilty of forgetting to mention the 7 year warranty on both this car and my video on the new EV6. It is a very big benefit.

@richardhaywoodh At Hyundai is 5 years on unlimited mileage. So if you drive more than 100 miles in 5 year, you're probably better of at Hyundai!

Smooth ride. I am getting over 55 mpg. Lots of room for my 6'4" driver. My model is the Niro LXS eco/hybrid (no plug in, regenerative braking charges battery). So many features for the $26,690 base price.
@TechInTheCar
@TechInTheCar 2 года назад
I didn’t drive the hybrid but I am sure it is a great car in any trim but hybrid and electric are the best as they save lots on fuel! It is very well trimmed with features and that is why I really like this car.

I just got this car with my husband, and I love it! The regenerative breaking is a really nice experience, as I don’t have to use the brake much at all. The only thing I can think of right now I don’t like is the steering wheel. It isn’t really grippy when I am wearing gloves. I’ve ordered a cover for the wheel to get that traction I want, and I think it will work just fine.
@TechInTheCar

Interesting feedback. I’ve never heard that before. I’m glad you found a solution to the issue.

@@TechInTheCar Me neither, maybe she got small hands. But a thicker steering wheel is always better! But at the winter is without the cover better, because of the steering heater and in the summer with a cover for better grip and handling!

Does the interior mirror have auto-dimming, compass & Homelink?
@TechInTheCar

Auto-dimming yes; in the UK we don't have homelink and there is no compass in the mirror. This does not mean it isn't in US models.

Hi 👋🏻! Thanks for your video! ♥️ I just bought 2020 Premium! I live in the USA, is it also possible to use this application to my car?? I'm trying to find it in the App Store but I don't know what it's called , I will be happy if you send the link here please! And if it is possible to use this application also in the 2020 model? 🙏🏼

Just do a search for Kia on the AppStore as they probably have renamed the app since I made the video. It will be an official Kia app and it will mention connecting to your Kia account and car.

Nice review of a nice car. I had traded in a V8 SUV for the Niro hybrid, and it's very nice. Maybe I'll get the EV next time. One thing about the charging. I don't see the advantage of the charger on the front grill vs the fender. For Canadians, we have long winters with freezing rain, snow, salt and sand, slush. Hard to open that touch-latch cover when it's iced up. In fact, the rear fender would be good for backing into your driveway and reaching the charger.
@TechInTheCar
@TechInTheCar 2 года назад
Thanks! In the U.K. most chargers seem to have short cables so when the connector is on the side it can be difficult to get to. Front or Rear makes it easier (as you said) because you can either go into the space forwards or backwards and it is simple!
