Carolyn, I tried making this last night and all I can say is this was absolutely delicious. I was questioning myself about how important the butter process was but I'm glad I did it. I don't think my crab legs has ever tasted so good. A friend of mine commented that they've never had crab legs that tasted that good. Thank you for sharing.
This is the perfect time for this video. I've been searching RU-vid all week about smoking meat and have now learned a great tip Thanks to this video, put foil on the bottom of the grill. My family reunion is coming up and I'm bringing My own smoke grill, banana pudding, pea salad, YOUR homemade mac & cheese lol, and pickled deviled eggs. I hope you have a blessed and chill summer
Nooo! Dont put foil on the bottom of your grill. That’s a metal plate in my smoker that I try to keep clean by covering with foil. BBQ pits don’t need it.
this is the first time i have seen one of your videos. i have done a lot of smoking over the years and had never tried crab legs wanted to watch a few videos before i attempted it... i really like how you explain what you are doing and why... for me with smoking you are always learning and if your not learning you dont get better...even though people love my food i always strive to make it better.therefore, i am constantly watching videos for more ideas... thank you for this one and i will be watching many more

You did it again! Loved the seasoned butter and never thought of smoking crab. I still have some GDS Lemon Pepper but need to order the regular GDS . That seasoning really makes a difference.
I so love listening to your voice is impeccable..can I ask you what is clarify butter? And can you tell me what you do when making a butter sauce what do you use so butter doesn't turn back to a solid while sitting out or if you transfer to a squirt bottle??

Carolyn, this video has me craving the beach!! Last time I had delicious crab legs I was in Maryland. May I ask, I live in Ohio and see frozen fully cooked crab legs, would those suffice? I get skeptical eating certain seafood if I’m not a mile within it was caught. Take care!
I just had some smoked crab for the first time and the taste was like smoked fish, does this recipe end up tasting like that too, I will NEVER boil crabs again, great video can;t wait to try this this week, Blessing*
Thank you for sharing that looks phenomenal. I've smoke crab legs before without any seasoning at 250 to 275 for approximately 30 minutes. The flavor was good but the smaller pieces were dried out. Where these crab legs fully thawed or still frozen?
