Just pledged on kick starter. Love the hybrid feel this bag has. Yes it’s another small liter bag. Yes there are other bags on the market that provide the same functionality. You’re buying to support someone who took the same blueprint and made it unique. Took a chance and made something out of nothing and had the courage to move forward with their design. That along with the quality made me pledge. Can’t wait for this bag! The look alone makes it a must for me. Shooting a lot of rangefinder’s film and digital make it perfect! beautiful bag and nice option over the ona Rockaway. A lot of people in the comments are saying this is a PD sling copy, but that is completely not the case. This overall bag shape & zipper pattern to the main compartment is definitely more closely related to the Ona Rockaway. The only thing that really gives any sort of PD vibe is the front tab where the clever supply co. logo is placed on (PD front tab being placed off center) and the zipper hardware. PD uses a nylon canvas shell where we were already told this is a wax canvas finish. Also PD slings literally look like turtle shells when you wear it on your back. It's pretty hideous. This is a beautiful bag though! Almost addressing some of the things where the Rockaway falls short. Aesthetically though, I think I lean still towards the ona!

To me, Todd combined the looks and quality of Ona with the functionality of Peak Design. I can't wait to get one! I like that it's a smaller bag that will still hold a 10" iPad, and the main handle can be used as a luggage pass-through.

I'm gonna repeat what ppl have already said but it's a straight copy of a PD Everyday Sling bag, with some differences here and there. I do also think they could have been a bit more original, especially for 2x the price. Or it just shows how good of a design the PD slings have I guess.

that's a super interesting bag, but as someone owning a Peak Design 6L Sling I kind of fail to understand how it is different to it other than mybe the styling and the leathered parts. Everything seems like really super similar when it comes to layout, material used and overall space inside and I don't think I'd see how it's worth more than 2x more Don't get me wrong, the bag is super good looking and seems very practical to use, and it's from a small company with leather parts on it (that always drive the price up). But from a buyer point of view, it might be a tough sell as long as the PD 6L Sling exists (which is already super high quality and kind of expensive, around the 80/90€ price tag)

Different strokes for different folks. Peak Design bags leave me cold. Sterile looking. Clever Supply is beautiful and warm looking. Worth the extra $$ to me.

I agree with this as well as TrappedInDC's comment. I use the PeakDesign 10L sling when I'm doing paid work and need to be in all black. this bag by Clever Supply Co is essentially the same layout and design with a much warmer everyday looking bag. I really like colors and leather accents on here. thanks for the review Benj. and thanks Matt Z for your thoughts too

Hey Matt, a camera sling by nature isn’t new. The overall shape is going to share similarities with other existing slings, if you look at BH they have 100+ listings for "camera sling". We’ve been intentional here to design this bag with key differences and will continue to make it clear how this product offers a unique experience. One of course is our material choice, and as you pieced together does drive the price up! Leather just isn't cheap, and I understand why companies have moved away from this material. But it was important to us to incorporate with our brand! Appreciate these thoughts!

That's probably more of a compliment than you intended, lol. Peak Design is a super successful bag company, and special edition certainly sounds nice. But I get what you mean. The look isn't wholly original. It is a nice mix of modern and vintage, though.

@@Seapatico Not really. The way the exterior fabric winkles when the bag is opened it definitely looks lower quality than a Peak Design at a 50% higher price. This looks like a very cheap knockoff TBH. I like the Clever Supply Co straps but this bag is a big time pass.

Wish this had sustainable materials like ecopak. Or atleast not leather. Would have been much cheaper too. Since I would rather save innocent animals than have an eye candy. Also in todays day&age with 1650d Ballistic nylon & cordura the durability is also not a positive of leather.
