I’ve done everything Uve done (minus the bull bar) but I also upgraded: 1) my radio & speakers since that is SO SIMPLE 2) I went ahead and found some new 20” wheels that were $600 for the set. My fav upgrade and incredible deal. (LRG) 3) I found Clazzio real leather seat covers for $300 (dumb cheap for the brand) 4) got a North Country Tonneau Cover (~$200) 5) I love LED lighting so I upgraded my headlights, indicators, and fog lights, and reverse lights. I attempted to upgrade the reverse brake light but it caused my indicator light to stop working so I went back w regular halogen. (All LED changeover cost about $100 and super happy). I used LASFIT for the headlights, ALLA for fog lights, and a GTAUTOHAUS for indicator lights.
This is the kind of comments I was hoping for on this video! Thank you Brandon for going into detail about what you have done to your truck! Hopefully other people can see this and get some ideas for their truck!
Love this 04-08 content recently! I have an 05 that’s pretty much stock except for wheels and tires. Nobody else online seems to be doing this much in-depth stuff on the year range. Hell yeah!
I also have an 05, I’m pretty sure the only thing it has had done to it was a new engine. I’m trying to get ideas on what to do to it. I do need to fix the passenger side door lock because it stays locked until you get in side and open it from there.
I'm new to interweb but not to trucks. I want to help 11th gen. F150 lovers. My 05 FX4 is the best and utilizes every modern technological advancement. It's better than my fully loaded 2020 Platinum.
I purchased a 1995 FORD F-150 back in 98. Yes it was 3 years old when I purchased it. I'm guessing it was probably garage kept by the previous owner. I'm still driving it today. I've only had minimal problems with it. I've kept it up under the hood. It's March 31st, 2022 and it's still running. It's my baby. I hope it out lives me.
Agree this model looks great especially on a restoration! Spoke to you earlier on my son's '05 restoration. Wish I could show you beginning to end photo's! His truck looks absolutely fantastic! Lot's of mods I learned from you! Thank you Drew!
I'm not a huge fender flare guy, at all really. I have a 2wd 04 ext cab with a 3"lift and slightly over sized tires and black rims. Instantly aggressi-fied 😉 it. I also blacked out all the emblems(I personaly like the backed out look). It's burgundy and dark gray along the bottom so the black goes really well with it 👍. Great video by the way. Gave me some good ideas!
I have an 08 2wd 4.6 engine, the last owner put a lot of mods on it , I consider my self very lucky, it has 70 thousands of miles only, got it at 40 thousands miles, bull bars, hd lights all around , long backup lights, cool intake air filter, tinted windows, Flowmaster exhaust, and running boards.
My dads passing down his 2008 ford f150 and the vin report says there was an accident in houston and a sale in virginia, my dad bought it new from the dealer in IL, most these reports are recent. Is this a faulty vin report or something
I’ve had three 11th Gen F-150s since 2007 and the first mods I’d do are #1 2.5” leveling kit #2 34”-35” all terrain tires #3 programmer with custom tunes #4 exhaust + tip #5 headlights #6 grille but remember to save your money for the inevitable timing job or even engine replacement past 200 000Km
PSI auto restyling. Makes some nice fenders for the F150 check the low prices. My 2002 F150 SUPER CREW is lifted 4 inches with a push bar LED headlights super duty tow mirrors black. It has taller wider 17 inch tires and black rims and black fender flares from PSI. 2.25 wideX 4.50 tall black fenders Truck looks awesome ! Thanks for showing me more stuff to do to my truck !
I have an 08 f150 4.6L super crew, and I took matte black plasti-dip to the areas that were that were light gray or whatever color that was, and where people don't touch much, I did a matte black non-nonpeelable paint to the high traffic touch areas, so now my interior is black, dark gray, with silver where it normally is, ive been asked if I bought a new truck, been told it looks cleaner, and been told it looks classier. I also added tattered lines giving it a more badass look, and that only cost me $12
My truck was already lifted 4 inches with a Daystar spring spacer and a aftermarket springs upfront and blocks In The rear. But I wanted that Hot California F150 squat look. So I had a shop remove the 2 inch rubber Daystar spacers and had them install a 3.5 steel spacer from Torch off road man I love the look I was able to pick up an extra 2 1/2 inches upfront truck looks awesome but I think I maxed the lift out. I have clunk sound upfront now at times when I turn the wheel slightly or I’m pulling away slowly from a parking spot. I think I maxed out my upper control arms to much. My Alignment got thrown way off. I had to get new camber bolts that had to adjust the caster the tech was pulling his hair out just to get trucks camber corrected back to specs. I found some upper control arms but they are expensive plus I’m not sure if that’s the problem not to many pple here in California know much about the old generation 2002 Ford F150 they make a ton of parts for 2004 and up and the parts are different. The counter guys at 4West a 4 wheel parts storeis like walking into Autozone all kids 18 or 20 years old they were not even born when this truck was built let alone work on one they tell me to google or u tube everything that is the new help and advise we get today ?? Wow !LOL. Seems pple are more into Jeep’s and 4 runners or Tacoma’s out here What happened to buy American the job you save may be your own !!
Hey man, I’m new to the channel and I have been following you to upgrade my 07 f150. Your content and truck are dope ! I have a question though !? What are the motofabs for ? And is it easy to install ?
Great job Andrew! I just found you from ordering and installing my new raptor grill for my 2005 F150. Saw your install video and quickly subscribed. Keep up the good work brother!
If you have the wood grain accents in your truck, I’d wrap them. I recently wrapped mine w carbon fiber and it completely changed the look of the interior
@@lunizzima honestly I just went on eBay and ordered the one I liked. I bought a 5 foot by 5 foot roll (which was way too much) but it was only $30 so it was definitely worth it. If you have social media I can send you some pictures if I have any if you’d like
Okay first things first! YOU ROCK!!! no really you just don't know how many times I had to watch your videos ,to make sure I wasn't about to F..... things up .. LOL Thank you so much.
We’ve been working on our 2007 we’ve done the levelling kit upgraded the rims and tires to methods and 33s “ renegades” . We’ve done the grill and the headlights as well as the wind/ bug deflector. I’d love to know what all y’all are running for touch screen stereos that work with Apple phones :) that’s next on my list. 😅
I have a 05 f150 and i have done a 2.5 inch leveling kit hoping to go 6inch lift on the suspension done a dual flow masters exhaust and tip have two ten inch subs and after market speakers and radio 17inch wheels and 305/70/17 ridge grapplers for the tires led head lights and tail lights and third light upgraded the front shocks and rear shocks looking to do the leather covers you have and the raptor grille and bull bar thank you for doing videos about all the upgrades and mods
Your first 2 mods listed, are mods that I don't like at all. Appearance is subjective and I prefer the understated look of the basic mesh grille and bulky flares.
Hey man I have a f150 07 stx regular cab, im trying to put a different cluster on it but I dont know if the cluster Im buying is gonna adapte to the mileage that my truck has
Hey bro loving the channel. I got a 2004 f150 looking to get some interior upgrades what seat covers did you get from coverking ?? all the ones I see look horrible. Im looking for that new stock look
Here's the leathette one's I got -- www.autoanything.com/seat-covers/75A4631A0A0.aspx The Neoprene one's are on sale right now for a super good deal - www.autoanything.com/seat-covers/61A7669A0A0.aspx
@@AndrewDoesLife Thx man they do look nice def will be a big upgrade for my 04 ! got the raptor style grill and some step bars today. keep up the channel man very good stuff
Definitely replace headlights, taillights and 3rd brake light. I am going black with the LEDs so it looks like it molds from Raptor hood, also a couple of other cool makes a huge difference mods are that dead space in front bumber they sell an exact fit led light bar and a 60 inch rear led light strip for the rear. I also found some cool f150 led lighted side emblems if you search you can find some for around 150. Also, i have done every upgrade he spoke of but i think he forgot an important one. Cutting stock muffler and replacing with flowmaster or compatible muffler. I have found series 40 online for less tha 50.
@ANDREW DOES LIFE (also anyone that can help) ..... peace i have an 08 F150 - i have'nt seen the link to the Leather type seat covering You Suggested / Mention . I need seat covering for the Front and Back , its been 7 months now . still havnt found SEAT COVERING that fits my 2008 F150 (leather type) then again anytype of seat covering ----- any suggestions. THANK YOU
hey man, thanks for this valuable information, im about to get mine shipped to Panama city Panama and i was worried about and old looking car, but i think with this mods i might not be worried anymore, i wanted to ask you about the lift package, which one would you recommend in terms of not having a big monster truck but a nice truck to go outside.
I have the same running boards as you, except mine are chrome. Did you (or can you) Raptor Line the chrome running boards? You really have inspired me into making a lot of these mods to my 07 F150. I was one of the "unlucky" ones that had all kinds of trouble with the 5.4 Triton. 6 months ago, I had a new engine dropped. Running great now. I got a three year, 100,000 warranty, so I'm hanging on to this ole girl for a while. Still, I love my F150, and can't wait to complete the mods. 230,00 Wisconsin miles! Go Pack Go!
Go pack go! Haha. Yes you can certainly raptor line those chrome running boards. Just scuff them up real good and hit em with an adhesion promoter and then you’re all set to raptor line them
I have a 2008 f150 and im lookin to update my truck . Shes in deep need of an upgrade intenal and external This video helped me a-lot. Since im a women . Do you think it will be too much for me ? Like “ too MANLY” ?
Thanks dude! Check out my video on the seat covers and the link for the seats here.. (seats) amzn.to/3SqBPtd (video) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ObZUUYcnkUU.html
I need to find a 5.4 Triton motor for a 2005 Ford F150, for as close to $1000 as possible close to the Upstate of South Carolina. Please if you could assist me.
Let me be clear, i drove my 2000 chevy z71 "BLACK" My homage to the intimidator dale earnhardt for 15 yrs. Over 400000 miles back and forth to arkansas from south carolina at least 10 of those 15yrs to waterfowl hunt. Towing boat loaded with 600 grizzly atv and hunt gear 1000 miles one way 12-13hrs very seldom under 75 mph there and back. Not to mention my day to day driving at home. 80mile commute to santee cooper cross generstion station from florence up to 7 days a week at times never less than 4. The only major repair was a 1600 transmision at the dreaded 250000 miles thats it. That bitch was the rock the for which the chevy commercial was built upon. Bar none. But i digress, my ex wife now holds it as a stark reminder why i shoulda never married. Enter the 06 xlt 4wd f150 i just bought for 1300 bucks wreck damage on right front non the less serviceable and drivable. I agree with commments of the never aged body style. Its a stocky rugged look i dig as well. Ive dropped another 1000 in it since i bought it but damn the ole blue oval has came right back to life and gets my thumbs up. It has 250000plus miles and it still digs. If i goota drive anything other than chevy its gotta be the f150. It aint my beloved z71 but its detroit and that works for me
Well I sure am sorry to hear about the ol black Chevy but I’m glad the new Ford is treating you well!! Hopefully it takes care if you as well as it did me, multiple trips from FL to Indiana and never had a single issue 👍🏻
The brand was TAC Auto and I got it off of Amazon, my older brother got a "name brand" one that was double in price for his F250 and ours looked exactly the same and we both never had an issue with rust or paint chipping.
Hey Andrew, I loved the video! I’ve been working on my 2005 Ford F-150 pretty extensively lately and am just staring to get it to where I like it. Some recent modifications I’ve put into it were a set of towing mirrors and I took off my running boards (which turned to complete rust). I had a few questions if you had the time to answer them! Regarding the raptor liner, I want to go with the black color on my running boards and was wondering what my best option would be to go with? Ie: how much of it do you think I’ll need and if I’ll need some sort of adherence promoter? Also I’ve been really interested in buying some nicer looking, but cheap, seat covers and wondered what brand you have? Thank you for the great tips and tricks throughout your channel!
Hey Ross! If your running boards are plastic, you’ll need some sort of adhesion promoter. Honestly since that’s such a high foot traffic stress in general I’d recommend using an adhesion promoter regardless. 2 bottles of black raptor liner should be all you need. The stuff goes a long way and one bottle per board should be more than enough
Andrew Does Life Thank you so much! The running boards are actually some sort of steel with a black powder coat paint that just flakes right off. Removing them from the truck required drilling a side of each nut, then using chisels to pry them in half. No fun, a 6 hour job for 12 of them! I’m excited to see what the raptor liner will look like; might even do my rusting, steel diamond platted front bumper too! So all together I’m assuming I’d need the 1 gallon kit w/ spray nozzle and adhesion promoter?
I have an 06 With 220,000 and so far it’s pretty good to me. Just curious did you ever fix the timing chain or spark plugs? I saw where those were the two biggest faults in the 5.4. Just curious as to people’s opinion on deep Internals of the engine
I never had an issue with the timing but my spark plugs did go out around 80k miles. They weren't as bad to change out as everyone says they are, 3 did snap but I still got them out and was able to complete the job.
I think fender flares are a great addition to a truck. Check out the description of my fender flares installation video and it should have the link to the fender flares I bought for my 2006 F150
I installed CoverKing leatherette seat covers on the inside of my truck and they look fantastic! Made it look like like a Lariat trim level on the inside
I have a 2004 F-150, Supercab, FX4 that I purchased brand new in 2004 and it only has 64,000 miles. Problem is, it's getting old, things are fading and needing an upgrade. I've added new running boards, the Raptor Grill, I'm adding the HammerHead Winch ready HD front bumper and a HD rear bumper, but another BIG change I need to make is seats/seat covers. Does anyone have a recommendation for FITTED leather/leatherette seat covers? I don't want the universal slouchy look. THANKS!
Just do aesthetics , grill, wheels, tires, fender flares, smoke the taillights, black out the badges, maybe a bull bar and Light bar and you’re good. You can also upgrade your intake and exhaust if you want, I would stay away from lift kit and go with a leveling kit instead, any lift kit above 4 inches can hurt your transmission
Well as I told you I got rid of my old f150 but you we’re talking about getting another one so I went out and bought a 2005 f150 about to start doing more to it I just put a new radio in it and it holds a 7 inch radio and I’ve led the headlights and fog lights more to come tho
it sucks a lot of the stuff u mentioned looks interesting and i’m thinking about putting on my truck but a lot of the stuff says it’s currently unavailable
It’s been years since I’ve bought any after market head units, but in the past it seemed like the screens never lasted. Is there a head unit that contains a gps that you would recommend that lasts? Thank you man
The only aftermarket head unit I have purchased was a single din Pioneer one and it was great and I never had any issues at all with it. That being said, there is a company on eBay that sells OEM(ish) parts and their double din touch screen head units with GPS built in are very popular and have good reviews
Mine was excellent. I did have a lot of people try and steer me away from them but truthfully the horror stories I heard never came true. The spark plug replacement was not bad at all, as long as you take care of the truck (or anything for that matter) it will take care of you! My fav memory of it was pulling my dads 2500 Silverado out of a ditch with EASE haha
@@AndrewDoesLife thanks man I’ve always liked the look of it I was thinking about doing a white out with some Crome but now Looking at it I’ll probably do this
Here ya go! www.autoanything.com/seat-covers/75A4631A0A0.aspx Autoanything is having some pretty good sales right now too. I saw multiple 20% off your order deals going on
Love the videos! I'm looking to get a bull bar for my 08. I've read on some reviews that some are not that strong and get bent too easily. What would you recommend would be a good brand?
The brand was TAC Auto and I got it off of Amazon, I backed into TWICE in one day (I wish I was joking) and I only had a small ding in my bull bar from both accidents. I also used it as a brush guard on numerous off roading and hunting trips and it held up like a champ!
Hey man my 2004 fx4 has a notch at the back of the bed and tailgate has a antenna looking thing at the bottom of the tailgate that fits in the notch when open. What is that for?
Ehh it’s hard to tell what you’re talking about without pictures haha you got an Instagram? Could always send me the pictures of what you’re talking about on there
Great video, ty for including costs and difficultly for the upgrades. I recently grabbed up an '06 Harley Davidson edition F150 and I love it. Sub'd. Peace out..:)
