epic base brother if you manage to build this on a rock Canyon that have bushes inside you will be invisible but veteran hunters an beast hunters can always track you down an listen to the sounds still very nice base
I build bases like this all the time and they’re very rarely found! Or crates inside similar places to where you placed the improvised tents! Everytime I find one of these stashes (someone else’s) I don’t destroy them I just take what I need and leave some stuff behind for them so they know it’s been found but not destroyed
@@properjob79 same as, had a wicked stash of mine found the other day.. Fair play to them.. took the plate carrier, a blaze and whatever else!! But they honorably left the rest without destroying or emptying my crates... I honestly don't understand why raiders have to feel the need to? Destroy/despawn what loot or storage crates/tents they don't take!! Totally pointless and just pure griefing
@@ChristoThor1817 had mine wiped out on dusk vanilla 3 days ago...had 3 stash point dotted 200 meters apart (4 dry bags,sea chest,2 barrels and 8 crates)all dug up in 1 night after being hidden since wipe..i suspect its the same person that buys a 7 day esp loot finder and has a frenzy month before a wipe...spend £20 and save himself(if solo)weeks/months of looting...happens ever wipe
I have been mobile like this in Dayz for a long time, even dropping crates under tall grass. however I hadn't realized you can cut the bushes down first to place them inside it. that is brilliant.
Nobody tends to look in the mountains or deep forest they stick to the towns because a lot of people would rather build a base with multiple airlocks and have it found in a day than spend the time to find a nice secluded area and build
what a great Day Z day: found my base locked, went through the 4 digit and then inside found the next barriers destroyed and everything looted / despawned... around 800-1000 slots of gear lost. Later i was beaten to death by two invisible players. Amazing! this kind of base looks like worthy a try anyway...
Looks like Banov. That map has a lot of nice tree groupings like this. I've thought about hiding something in one of them but didn't realize how nice it would look if you cut the trees down first.
Hi bro thanks for the video, great tips. I have a big base and so paranoid about the loot haha but i beleive that this idea spread this little bases and do them around here and there it will be best . Nice one
They are well hidden, sure. I think it's a very good idea.But then again there are players, who mainly only keep combing exactly places like this. But awesome base anyway.
I usually do this - the thing that gets me though is that official is so picky about where it will let you place the shelter kit and a lot of the time it won't let you put it on a spot where you've cut something down. Also wish official chernerus had these huge bushes like that. I generally find an area with a lot of low limbed trees and a lot of rocks/boulder/bushes on the ground and look for a place that sits such that the elevation will not allow someone to see it until they are right up on it. using the slopes of the area to make it so I'm too low for someone up the hill to see and too high for someone down the hill to see.
I agree man. You find the perfect spot and get exited and they won't place. Then you are running around full of loot with a shelter kit in hand trying to find a spot close lol
So if you're on PC you can literally carry a barrel in your inventory. Or is this something that you can't do anymore. Because I know on console I can't carry it in my inventory. That would be awesome though
Nice location, works really bloody well 👌. I've been using bushes that way for last couple of years, sometimes hard to find my own bases 😅 even when i put a marker on i zurvive 😂, and i have a habit of making so many, i lose tonnes of stuff because i never get back to a lot of them within the 7 days or whatever it is, before they despawn 🤦♂️.
Put a protector case or battery charger nearby as a marker, they won't despawn, then you could walk on a bearing from that reference point to the stash
its a good temp setup but you can access the inventory from all sides unlike a large tent where you have to be inside. kinda pointless tbh. i have a large tent with a 2 gate airlock deep in the west woods. works wonders
@mattzee666 don't get me wrong I use the shit outa the brush shelter first lol I only recently realized you could loot it from the outside and was kinda choked.
@@gnarson I can't say for sure I'm I'm almost certain it wasn't possible when I made this video. I remember trying another base a few months after and noticed the inventory issue. Maybe it was an update or maybe it was the server I was on.......suspish
Holy shit that's hidden! New to dayz, been playing for about a week now on ps4. I'll be trying that to see if it works there too. Thank you for the video this really helps me out.
@@veritate8955hat's because he is on a modded server on pc for the video. The "build anywhere" mod is enabled or the server has changed files to disable conflicting object building.
i always just bury a drybag. even on modded servers when i know exactly where it is its still hard to find, its literally impossible for anyone to find if you put one under a tree
I used to bury until I found out these kids push each other under maps to see floating boxes and bags. You can apparently see everything when you swim under the map. Tried it myself and verified this to be true.
@@TheUltimateHacker007 If a player lays down on the other player he can force the guy under the map. He will fall and hit the water. They swim under where they see the loot and log out. Logging back in puts them next to it and in most cases inside your base. It's why I stopped playing official servers. Custom servers have swim protections.

Bruh tell me about it that’s why I’m on this video just got raided this morning while at work smh I’ve only raided one group before and they were online they left their door open by platforms in tisy and came back mid raid but I was able to kill them got all that shit to my groups base just to get raided it hurts so bad dude
I had a similar base, well hidden, I wld even run past it, plus it was in an area of the map nobody wld be going and 2 days in, I wandered in to it being raided! How do people find such hidden places? Makes me think some cheating going on
First I learnt to make a fire and cook beef... I left my stash of excess weapons and loot and for the meat to cook... I lwft the sever for an hour to do something and it was miles away from no where and go back on my meat and weapons stash was gone 😆
You don't need explosives, but you would run right past it. So it doesn't need to worry. I've been using these for ages and not a single one has been found on any of my servers.
I'd love to find a good No Raid PvP server. The Wall used to be good but then it went whitelisted and basically died as a result. So now I rely on hidden spots and minimalist bases.
@@aleksblaze88 If I'm not mistaken though it's a monthly payment(?) rather than a one-time payment. I'm willing to do a one-time payment but subscription fees? Not a fan, unfortunately. But yes, hackers were a problem.
very true..but i guess if you dont play for 7 days thats a good thing...but i think most community servers are set longer. lets face it...we are addicts...
Bruh this is a noob move if you don’t put gates you might aswell just not do shit trust me put your loot behind gates second floor buildings preferably now a days it’s not duping it’s literally people just swim glitching inside your base
U don't have a clue, duping is still very much a thing especially after they added c4 n launcher, hidden spots always last longer than gated ones and ppl only swim glitch when they see gates and a base U sound like a noob

I tried it on vanilla servers and it seems to be fixed until 1.20. There is no fucking chance to plant a shelter even close to the treeline or in between. I struggled for 2hrs to get it done and was almost killed by 4 non stop wolve attacks, which on the other hand showed me the place I´d chosen was not suitable anyways :D ... sad :(

@@mattzee666 Weed is definitely a drug. Otherwise you could say the same about pure heroin or ayoaska. They are drugs as they effect the brain, psycho-actively. just because they are natural does not make them natural to consume.
Does this work in vanilla? I have tried it a few times, but have had trouble plasing the shelter properly in the bushes. It might have been a terrain issue though
This was built on a community server with either the "build anywhere" mod enabled or the server changed game files to remove certain types of building objects conflicting. You can do this in certain places on Vanilla but a lot of the time once the server restarts the bush or tree that grows back will destroy the shelter even if you can get it built.
@@mattzee666 thanks mate, this seems like a good enough hidden base for both official and modded. Any decent servers to play on? I haven’t played in ages!
