The BEST & FASTEST Way to Finish Your Catalog in Splatoon 3

im almost 20 levels in , they should let you activate cataglogs so you can do them all but choose the one you want to put the points towards

Currently I'm at level 23, but I've got a tip, if you use a food ticket and play until your out of the twenty battles it boosts, then you can get at least 2 levels out of it, even if you lose most of your battles, plus the extra exp, money or ability slots from the food. Even better, if you win most battles, you can get up to 3-4 levels! This is how I grinded my catalog to be done last season so I would have time to play Pokemon when it came out. Hope this tip helps! Edit : I am aware that the exp tickets don't raise catalog exp. I'm simply saying that I usually use a ticket and by the time it's used up, I have at least two levels just from playing and no extra exp. I usually use money tickets but I know the others also go up to 20 battles. It's my way of telling myself it's time to stop playing, it just coincides with helping get money and catalog levels. I apologize for the unintentional misinformation 🙇‍♀️

It makes me so sad that salmon run gives the fewest points, I like playing together with people rather than team vs team. But I missed out on finishing the previous catalog! This is my first Splatoon game so I didn't know it would even change :0 Thanks for the informative video!

I haven't played a lot after getting my catalog level from 16 to 100 last week of drizzle season. Man was that intense

It’s honestly way too hard to level up the catalog, it’s near impossible for a causal player to finish it. It sucks, too, because I really wanted the beachcomber and cuttlefish sandals from last season, but I just didn’t have the time to play enough and barely reached level 50. Same issue with wanting the fuzzy boots this season, I feel like I’ve played so many hours and won so many games, including during the splat fest, but I’m only level 27.

So far, the best method I've found to level up your catalog (and cash) is: - Going to Salmon Run and winning the first match of the day (that will give you a bonus that'll let you earn a level immediately) and get the bonus meter to 1200 to earn cash and XP tickets. - Using that ticket at Crab-N-Go and playing Turf Wars or Anarchy Battles (depends on the mode in rotation) and play until you get a second level. - Repeat every day (the catalog lasts about 3 months and with this method you should be able to complete it in 1 month).

Anarchy battles are definitely the best because matches in anarchy battles can be over in a very short amount of time and can only go over turf by 2 min, plus you get so many more points even when you lose (unless you get knocked out)

0:14 they actually changed this, you can buy gear from the shop that your nowhere near, like I got the beret and the skull bandana in my shop instead of off the catalog

My strategy is to try and add 30ish levels a month, and if there is a splatfest i can usually get an extra 10 levels if i play all weekend

Got it already, I’m on the second round almost complete, I’m using Food XP tickets ( group or individual ), playing Anarchy, that’s the most effective way for me to get the Catalog done in a short time of period.

This is my experience as someone who is probably about average and improving. Turf war was not as good for leveling up the catalog. Even me, who is an A- rank player, has trouble winning every turf war, and the points for losing a turf war are attrocius. You get no pity. In ranked however, you get 5 experience for each point you score on the enemy team (max points of 500), 500 points on time in all cases but a knockout, and the victory bonus of I think it is 1000 points, making for a max score of 2495 if you are one point off a knockout and 2500 if you do. The only case where the xp is bad is if you get knocked out instantly. On average, you will probably win half of the battles you fight and lets say that you knock out 10% of the time and are knocked out 10% of the time (assuming no points scored and 1st minute KO). You fight 10 battles, you knock out once, easy 2500, you win 4 battles, averaging 1750 points each, lose 4, probably averaging about 1250 each, and you are knocked out once, 600 points. That is about about 15100 points in about 42 minutes (excluding queue times). Compared to turf war with only 800 garaunteed and 1300 max points, the same time gets you 14 battles which comes out to, with 50% win rate, is 14700. That is pretty close, but the better you get as ranked, the more points you get. If you win all your turf wars, you may bet more points, but you are also doing the exact same thing over and over again. With ranked, at least you get some variety with modes and opponents suited to your skill level rather than having the chance to have a complete and total noob on your team with an S+50 player on the enemy team.

Lucked out and got the Gold Hi-Horses in the shop when the update first came out.

I 100% the first catalog and after that happened I kind of went on hiatus on splatoon 3. Missed out on the second catalog and the Mario Kart DLC wasn't helping me get back it to it. I'm currently trying get back in to it.

Catalog gang. I'm currently around the early 40s on catalog. Right now I'm aiming for the penguin bolero, and I'm not that far from it. I'm using anarchy to boost my gains high into the sky as well as the first wins of the day

I'm pretty sure I remember reading this somewhere, but I just wanted to reconfirm--using EXP boosting food doesn't make your catalog level up faster, right?

managed to get to catalog level 50 by playing tons of salmon run and participated in big run alot, the rest were turf wars as i dont touch ranked that often. today alone i went up 5 levels

i’m level 45 currently. a youtuber did a video on this topic and he did the math. if you play turf war for 48 hours your catalog will be done assuming you are level 0.

Another tip - if you are S rank, reset your rank, the exp i got getting back up to S rank was enough to take my catalog from level 20 to 81.

Grinding is like the worst thing to do while trying to get everything in the catalog except for certain days that makes it easier and quicker

I maxed my catalog out in the 2024 spring season, and am at level 67 right now. I didn’t play much Splatoon 3 over the summer, so now I’m in a mad rush to try to get to level 84 by Friday. There’s a shirt that I REALLY want, but can’t get access to it apart from the catalog. Because I can’t play this weekend, I’m currently on the GRIND!😮‍💨

Nintendo should make Challenges for more catalog level xp Like every day 3 challenges that give u 55.000xp that would help alot

1:20 as a player of lower skill, Turf War is much harder than Anarchy. I got the game at launch, but took a year-long break, and now it feels like i can't improve because i get crushed every match due to the terrible matchmaking. Anarchy actually has skill-based matchmaking, meaning I don't play with X-ranks when I'm C+.

id def say anarchy battles over turf war, in my experience i get absolutely nothing from winning turf and its just not fun anymore. pick an anarchy mode and just grind it out when its on rotation, (my personal face is zones, but im rly partial to tower as well) doing series is better too bc u can just do a round of 3-5 in one setting and if u Git Gud u can be consistently winning them in a few minutes each anyway. and make sure u always have food or drinks on when u play to have a counter of how many battles you do and to get slots/cash/exp. (i manage my play time with "ill play until catalog level 20" or "ill play until my drink reaches 5" etc etc) if anything if anarchy gets too hard/advanced then just demote urself and start the grind over again

Not gonna lie, I haaaate the fact that Nintendo is going for a seasonal approach for Splatoon 3, specifically for the fact that there is gear you can miss out on. I tolerate it for free live service games, since they are free-to-play and all, but this is a FULL PRICED GAME, _plus_ I have to pay a subscription to play the main online mode! You know, what is required to be able to finish the catalogs??? I want to be able to get ALL of the gear released in the game that I paid $60 for!

70 I do 2 a day sometimes more and on splatfests like 10+ with the catalog bonus 20% also why doesn't the ticket double the catalog xp as well or it does but it doesn't appear next to the level

I usually get roughly half of my catalog levels through splatfests and the rest through ranked.

I just continuously play anarchy battles because they give the most exp including the first win bonus

They need to change salmon run xp. It’s so hard to level up and that’s a majority of what I play. You barley get any xp for the catalog or regular level system
